A Poem: Of Sorts...

I was sitting online last knight, trying to think of something for my AIM profile, and this just started pouring out of me. It's not finished, or probably even close to being finished, so I'll keep updating it as I create more.

Why do they stand against me?
Why is it me that they oppose?
Do they not know the power within me?
Do they not realize they head to death's throes?
They head for disaster, they head for their end.
If they continue to fight and do not mend.

I have not wronged them, done them means of hate.
I do not crave their reactions of late.
They shun and bereave me.
They beat and they brave me.
Little do they know, the power I hold.
No respect to my knowledge do they show.

There’s one in particular, who’s resent I regret,
Who’s reasons for hatred and shunning I have not met.
With rational and cunning, I shall combat them,
Her reasons will fall like an unmanned battalion.
I shall prevail, my mind o’er them all.
I shall survive an onslaught of tales.

An outsider, they call me, one not like they.
They do not agree with my presence with them.
They are built different, their talents lie elsewhere than mine,
Enjoy the physical implementation, rather than that of the mind.
My talents are stronger, faster, and better,
They accepted my presence until they met her.

She is my goal, the object in my mind.
The one that puzzles me, whose heart I can’t find.
When I first met her, interested she appeared.
As time consumed us, my ardor’s head reared.
Now she appears to cringe and dislike,
But once-in-a-while, her face betrays her act of hate.
