I have waaaay too many. Overall, though, I'd say Thrawn trilogy and MedStar duology. Any NJO rocks, too.

Quite so - I'd rather watch the Holiday Special in slow motion than read Splinter again...

However, you need to add "The Glove of Darth Vader" to that list as well - maybe "Children of the Jedi" while you're at it.

On the other hand, for the first time in years I'm actually looking forward to upcoming Star Wars novels (as opposed to just movies, comics, cartoons, video games and RPG books...) - there are a couple of Darth Bane novels coming out (supposedly this year), and Lumiya is supposed to return fairly early in the Legacy series.

Of course, I'm joking. Laughing

On a serious note: I do think too many people dump on the novel. Foster did not know the inside story but worked with what he had in New Hope only.

I adored the Thrawn Trilogy and the new Legacy series is amazing...though I haven't got a chance to read Sacrifice yet. I also like Outbound Flight alot. And Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter was pretty good. I liked the ending.
