                :::Ranks, Roles and Officers:::

Becoming an Inquisitor is no easy feat. It involves intelligence, strength, determination and unique ability. As such, only the elite become Inquisitors; and only the best of the best rest in the highest of ranks. There are few ranks in the Inquisitors, however, each come with their own unique and distinct roles. Promotion does not come through normal means, i.e. proving oneself in missions, but by impressing the Grand Inquisitor in unique and different ways. Those unique and different ways correspond to the different tasks; failure to impress after attempting to do so can result in demotion, or expulsion. Any questions may be posed here.

Grand Inquisitor

The head or acting head of the Empire’s intelligence service, the Grand Inquisitor is the absolute authority within the Inquisitorius and holds extreme knowledge of all its aspects. They must spend a great amount of time in mediation and studying the aspects of the Force, show amazing leadership abilities, and be versed in most if not all forms of combat. This is a rank you cannot ascend to. The Grand Inquisitor can access all files and has top level security clearance. He/She is tasked with the appointment and control of all within the Inquisitorius, as well as other tasks which cannot be spoken of. Appointed by the Sovereign, there can be only one [1] Grand Inquisitor, and no-one bar the Sovereign or Darkest Knight can overrule.

High Inquisitor

Charged with maintaining assignments and records of the movements of the operatives, the High Inquisitor is the second-in-command of the Inquisitorius. The Inquisitorius' structure, membership and discipline are also tasked to the High Inquisitor. Again a rank you cannot descend to, only the Grand Inquisitor or the Sovereign can invest someone with the Office. Often the most senior adviser to the Grand Inquisitor, the High Inquisitor represents and/or holds the power of the Office of the Grand Inquisitor when he/she is unable to do so. As with the Grand Inquisitor, there can only be one [1] holder of this Office and the tenure of the holder is at the discretion of the Grand Inquisitor.

    Current Officer ~ Master Gra'tua

Chief Inquisitor

Having shown immense loyalty and great ability to and/or in the Order, an Inquisitor may be invested with the rank of Chief Inquisitor. With basic duties including being chief aide to the High Inquisitor and a senior adviser to the Grand Inquisitor, the Chief Inquisitor is also tasked with the gargantuan duty to weed through the ocean of weak applicants to the Inquisitorius and pick the strongest applicants to begin training as Inquisitors. As with the High Inquisitor, there can only be one [1] Chief Inquisitor and can be admitted or removed from office at the discretion of the Grand Inquisitor.

    Current Officer ~

Inspector General

The highest non-office holding Inquisitor is the Inspector General. Respected by all in the Inquisitorius, the holders of this ranks are often the team leaders in assignments, the arresting officer in an arrest scenario, chief interrogators in the examination of suspects and are the elite infiltrators feared by many other institutions. Often relied on to relay messages from the hierarchy of the Inquisitors, the Inspector General can and does act as a liason between ordinary Inquisitors and Office-holding Inquisitors. There can be any number of Inspector Generals, and the Grand Inquisitor can hand out this rank as he/she sees fit. The High and Chief Inquisitors may also hand out this rank, but only after consulation with the Order Head.

    Current Officer(s) ~ Darth Linex

Detective Investigator

Often the aide and advisor to an Inspector General, the Detective Investigator is an ordinary member of the Inquisitorius. Called on for basic missions, the Detective Investigator is the Inquisitor most often detailed to the following and investigation of a member of the Empire. It is at this rank that members of the Order may be addressed as Inquisitor and include it as their title. They are often also appointed as teachers and trainers of new entrants and are tasked with ensuring only the most able rise through the ranks. As with the Inspector General, there can be many Detective Investigators. The Grand, High and Chief Inquisitor may hand this rank out as they see fit.

    Current Officer(s) ~

Under Agent

A successful applicant to the Inquisitorius is immediately given the rank of Under Agent. At this rank, the Sith is expected to begin basic training under a Detective Investigator and accompany teams on arrests, investigations and missions. Although not given the priviledge of being addressed as an Inquisitor, the Under Agent can, never-the-less, make arrests and undergo small investigations into petty crimes. As it is the inductory rank, there can be any amount of holders of this rank. Each Under Agent is assessed after a period of one month in order to determine if they have the ability required to continue rising through the ranks of the Order.

    Current Officer(s) ~
