The Guardian-Class Star Destroyer, Modern Warfare floated far away from any planetary body in the galaxy. Alone in space, except for microscopic particles and beams of light. It was within the boundaries of the Empire's sovereign space, but hidden from its citizens and other forces.

The Supreme Commander was on board, which made the crew rather jumpy. It wasn't that the Sith Lord was a maniac and would kill them all. But if they failed at their jobs, it would look worse if the Supreme Commander got hurt in the process.

He was waiting for something, it seemed that a meeting was going to take place. The crew members were curious, but knew better than to neglect duties to try and find out. Lord Marix stood gazing out of the bridge's main view ports, staring off into space.

The shuttle of mon calamari design, exited the tunnel of hyperspace into an empty area void of life besides the ones resting quietly in the ship before his. Prognie could feel every life, a small twinkle in the vast expanse of the cosmos, each with its own distinct signature and feeling. The shuttle was small in comparison to the ship, "I see the Supreme Commander wants to leave an impression."

The pilot found the irony in the statement but responded, "Yes, he did." Prognie simply nodded in return. "Contact him and tell him we're awaiting landing permission. Tell him to also have caf ready for me if he will." The pilot responded, "Yes, sir."

"Supreme Commander, sir. A shuttle has appeared and they are hailing. Do we accept?"

"Yes Lieutenant. Accept the transmission. I will take it here."

"Yessir."

The nearest comm station came alive with the face of the shuttle's pilot. Lord Marix waited for him to introduce himself.

"Supreme Commander Marix, I represent the Grand Inquisitor. We await landing clearance. And he requests a cup of caf."

"You may land in Shuttle Hangar B." The Supreme Commander replied, waving behind his back at the Lieutenant that was still standing behind him. "The tractor beams will guide you in. Please release the helm."

Once the shuttle was on board, the Supreme Commander headed for his private office on the large craft. Nothing like his normal office, it was still suitable, and the most secure location on board the ship. Checking to make sure he had the right data pad, one that was empty of all his other information, data, and dealings, but contained solely the information he had on the matter he wished to discuss with the Grand Inquisitor, he ordered Captain Rex of Torrent Company of the 501st to escort the Grand Inquisitor to his office. He also made sure a pot of caf and an insulated cup were made available in his office for Darth Prognie to make use of.

The shuttle landed in the hangar with no trouble, there was an escort waiting for the Dark Lord, his hands clasped behind his back. "Would you like me to be your guard, sir?"

"I should be fine, I don't intend to the Supreme Commander to attempt anything, the soldiers in the ship don't feel uneasy. Plus I have more than enough tricks up my own sleeve to handle the Supreme Commander long enough to get off his hunk of junk." Prognie was prideful in that he knew he could best the Dark Lords at any game they wanted to play with him, even in their own turfs.

"I shall wait here and guard your ship then," the pilot said as he checked the ship after its landing a routine he had gotten used to. "Make sure none of those military fools come near it." The pilot nodded his acknowledgement of the order as he went back to checking the ship's systems.

Prognie walked down the ramp of the ship, using the force and his cane to guide him down slowly. Standing before his escort, or at least he assumed it was him he lifted his cane and held it stationary with the force. "Before we proceed I assume you want to check me."

"You are right, Grand Inquisitor." Captain Rex said in reply, holding out a scanner. He quickly waved the wand over and around the Sith's body, confirming that he carried no weapon other than his lightsaber. "You may pass. But I overheard your request that the Military fools do not go near the shuttle. If that is the case, we will need to require the vessel to leave the hangar and wait a predetermined and set distance off of this craft."

(I didn't know you could hear through walls?)

"I don't remember those being a part of the agreements Lord Marix and I had agreed to, if anything, he brought more than what was greed upon when we decided to do this. The ship stays, you're welcome to petition your request to the Supreme Commander when I get there, or if you feel the need to deny the Grand Inquisitor his only belonging beside his blade, then you're welcome to attempt to force it out. Go ahead, I implore you." Prognie said with venom behind every word.

[[Whoops. I thought you were already down the ramp. Want me to edit it?]]

"You, of course, know that we very well could remove it. We shall see what the Supreme Commander says then. As for what he brought, I believe that your safety was the reason he brought a Star Destroyer. It would not seem well if two Sith Lords died in the middle of no where, defended to the death by small shuttles." Captain Rex replied. He, like the Supreme Commander, had very little to thank the Inquisitors for, and he liked them even less than Lord Marix.

Turning, he headed for the turbolift, and led the Grand Inquisitor to the Supreme Commander's office door.

(nah, leave it as is for now.)

"You seem to be under the impression that I would allow you. Don't be fooled by words, there is a meaning behind it all." Positioning himself behind his escort he waited for him to continue as he was not familiar with the ship or its doors so wherever the man lead him he would follow and would keep his senses open to anything.

The man lead him through corridor after corridor, there was a feeling the man was probably doing it to annoy Prognie but he did not show any sign of his weary attitude but continued on as if oblivious to the insult. Though finally the man stopped in front of a room, Prognie could feel the pulsing energy from Marix on the other side. Faint and weak, similar to his ideals and rusting military he thought. The door opened and Prognie walked through, he stood in front of the door as a small gust of air hit his back as the doors closed.

"Supreme Commander, it is always lovely to see you."

"Grand Inquisitor, I doubt you have ever had the pleasure." The Supreme Commander returned. He knew the Grand Inquisitor had his own agenda, and had skills of a politician, whereas Markaro Vos had never desired the life of guile and betrayal that often found its way into the bureaucracy.

"I trust that your trip went smoothly? As you might have been told, I brought along a little bit more for your defense and safety. Wouldn't want the Grand Inquisitor to just disappear, now would we?"

He motioned to the seat in front of his desk, knowing that even though Prognie could not literally see the gesture, he could sense it through the Force. The cup of caf which Prognie had requested was placed to the right of the seat, on a portable tray that hovered over the ground.

"The Grand Inquisitor doesn't disappear Supreme Commander, truthfully he is back in his office on Kuat." As far as most individuals knew, the Grand Inquisitor never left Kuat and was still in his office. Some times it was vital to get around secretly, something that the Supreme Commander could never understand.

Taking a seat in front of Marix, Prognie discovered the caf. Taking a sip he savored the warm liquid before finally settling. "I doubt we're here to discuss me, you want details and I am a detail oriented man."

"You are correct. Because of the Emperor's orders that the Mages be given a fleet, and the differences between their idea of a report of a battle, and ours, the Military has, so to speak, holes in the reports of the battle over Aeron.

"Because you, as you said, are a detail oriented man, and the Order you lead is the same, I was hoping that you would be able to provide more suitable findings. And if you are willing, your leads as to the location of those rebel forces, so that I may begin fortifying those areas and preparing for an assault."

Prognie smiled, so the Supreme Commander was making a great leap by assuming Prognie had went to some length to obtain information about what had happened above Aeron. As if appearing to be formulating words in his mind, the Grand Inquisitor was recounting information that he really knew, based off of what he had gotten from his poking around, and what he could tell the Supreme Commander.

"Well, as you know there was a rebel fleet above the planet when the first set of the Mage's fleet appeared above orbit. Based off of recordings and what others on the bridge of the Shadowspear." Prognie was mixing information together, the supreme commander wouldn't be able to tell whether prognie had gotten it the way he said or through other sources.

"It seems the leader of this rebel group goes by the name of Commander Fahr, I've run a check on the name and all I can find is an Immer Fahr but he died years ago. I am curious as to what you speculate about that or if you can confirm anything on your records. He has military experience which leads me to believe he was in the military at some point be it ours or somewhere else." [/i]

"Commander Fahr. The name does not sound familiar. I will have it run through our own databases, just to double check your own search."

Gathering is thoughts, he tried to phrase his next sentence is such a way to get a straight answer from the devious Grand Inquisitor.

"What are the Inquisitors' estimates of the enemy fleet size? As well as ground resources?"

"I can't produce numbers because I can't get far enough in to analyze the data left behind. I am assuming a large enough fleet to challenge the Mages, that or this Commander Fahr is more of a tactical genius. Judging by the whispers I have gotten, this Commander Fahr also tricked this High Mage Serratus into trusting him, crucial moments were provided for this man to take advantage against the High Mage's ignorance." Prognie liked others who could be manipulative, made the battle much more interesting.

"This man begins to sound more dangerous every time you open your mouth, Lord Prognie. Thank you for the information. I'm sure your office will be cooperative in forwarding any future findings to me? But what can the Inquisitors ask for in return for this, as our Orders are accustomed to exchanges rather than gifts?" Lord Marix made a mental note to have the MI Division immediately begin hunting down any records of this Fahr.

"I only ask that if there is an opportunity for you to get closer to that area than I can, that you-" Prognie leaned forward, "make it possible for some of my own men to see what you see."

"As you know the Grand Mage shares no appreciation for me, so I anticipate he'd let you, the Guards, even the entire holonet get in there before he'd let an Inquisitor near that mess."

"I am sure that if the opportunity arises, that a select group of your men can be inducted into the Military team that goes in, at least for that time. I'm sure he feels firmly shored about his animosity."

Marix tried not to sound to impartial. The Inquisitors on several occasions had shown the same feelings towards the Military, not letting them near planets, items, ships, tanks, even its own men.

"I am not too worried, I have begun my attempt to reverse the Emperor's decision and if it remains the same then I leave myself with none of the mess and leave the Mages with the responsibility of sorting it out. Any terrible events that happen from this group being able to exist will fall on the Mages arrogance and negligence."

"That sounds like a plan. I am still confused by his decision on that matter. The planet has virtually no defenses, and since the Mage's fleet has been recalled and the 8th Fleet returned to its intended sector of duty,  Aeron remains undefended. If the Rebel forces wanted to take it back, they very well could, because the Emperor will not allow the Military to secure the planet."

"Aequitas feels he has the necessary might or capability to prove us wrong, none of which I have ever seen since the day I threw him off his own planet of Naboo. He's a pawn is all, he's just not moving for us as you can see." Prognie smiled inwardly, almost as if an idea had hit him he looked at Marix closely. "You don't think Aequitas could be-" the dark lord stopped. "No, he couldn't possibly."

"What could he be?" Marix was intrigued, had the Grand Inquisitor just made a slip and revealed something he shouldn't have? That would be one of the few times the Supreme Commander had witnessed it happen.

"I just thought that perhaps Aequitas is behind the rise of all these rebellious groups. It explains how rebel groups were forming on Naboo and it would explain why he won't let me near the planet. The Inquisitors and Guards have found that there is a threat closer to the Emperor than we thought. Well, perhaps he is it. I don't think Aequitas is the true mastermind but I do see him being a tool of something greater and his influence and power make him a fine tool to master." Prognie sat back in his chair rubbing his chin inquisitively.

"That is interesting, almost impossible. I would like to be kept in the loop of that area. Being caught off guard with a potentially rogue Order Head is not a good idea."

Standing, Marix headed for the door.

"Unless there is anything else you wish to discuss, I believe we both have more pressing matters than faux-friendly chatter."
