.: Military Handbook :.

.: Preface :.
The Sith Imperial Armed Forces represents the best of the Empire. The Armed Forces are the firsts, swords, shields, and armors of the Empire, Emperor, and Supreme Commander. The Military provides for the defense of the planets of the Empire, its citizens, and the stars unnamed. Without the Armed Forces, the Empire falls.

This handbook is to clarify the ways of our particular Order and our contributions to the Empire. How to join, how to act, what skills you need, and more.

I am Supreme Commander Marix of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces, my colleagues and compatriots in arms are High Commander Vexen of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces, Darths Barad’dur, Celestial, Cimil, Lanik, Malice, Thrax, Walker, as well as Lords Acheron, Angmar, and Matas. Together we serve the Empire, Emperor, and galaxy in vital ways that no other Order can dream to achieve.

As in any governing body, spanning the history of the galaxy, the military plays a central role in keeping order and expanding their borders, we are no different. It is our job to protect the planets within our borders from all acts of aggression against the Empire and Emperor/Empress that we deem pertinent enough to demand war-like responses. These may include: kidnappings of royalty, acts of terrorism, bomb threats, treasonous acts, mutinies, rebellions, invasions, and other actions. We also cooperate with the Royal Guard in transporting diplomats and royalty.

Any questions should be forwarded to our Liaison Office of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces and they will be given full priority and answered to our best ability.

.: Applications :.
To apply to join the military, you must meet the following requirements:
      - Be or intending to be a Sith Warrior
      - Have completed your training to the satisfaction of your master and at least two -2- Lords/Ladies
      - Be ready for vigorous training
      - Be active in the Empire- Be committed to your goals and indisputable in your loyalty to your men, ship, and commanding officers
      - OOC: Be actively participating in open RPs/Duels/General Discussion…

      .: Proper Applying Process :.

When a Sith; of any rank, prestige, age, race, financial status, or family, expresses concern or interest in the Military, it is highly suggested that he contact a current or former officer for questions/answers and advice.

When the applicant first opens negotiations with the military, an application shall be posted in the Liaison Office of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces. The specific post shall be  entitled Official Application of [Insert Applicant’s Name Here]. In this thread, the application process shall proceed. In the thread, the applicant is requested to post a full version of their profile. This may seem redundant, but makes the process smoother and puts all the information right in the thread.

Note: the Profile should at least include the following [But not be limited to it]:

        Code:
        [b][u]Full Name:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Sith Name:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Sith Rank:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Ships:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Weapons:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Other Items:[/b][/u]
[b][u]Lightsaber Form(s) and Proficiency [Trained, Adept, Mastered, etc.]:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Force Powers:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Previous Reprimands:[/b][/u]
        [b][u]Other Information:[/b][/u]

Please List any Corrective Action taken against you and the Reasons, if any. This is to help us choose responsible Sith to lead. Also, if the situation arrives in which you are accused of something, and we deny it and defend you, when it is true, then the Military will suffer, so please keep us informed.

After the profile, the Application is required to post the following information:
        -       Desired Branch [Navy/Army]
        -       Previous Combat Experience
        -       Previous Commanding/Strategy/Tactical experience
        -       Desired rank upon completion of training

After this, a commissioned officer affiliated with your chosen order will approach you in the thread or by other means of contact [PM]. During this time, a test will be administered to determine the applicants level of understanding of the Military and its operations. The results of the test will not determine entry into the Military, but will help the Officers in charge of the applicant decide what needs to be covered in training. There are three versions of the test, one for the Navy, one for the Army, and a special test that leads into Officer Training.

It is recommended that, at the time of apprentice, this application is presented. This gives the Military more time to review the applicant and his/her actions.
At the time, if any, you are approved, communications will be furthered via PM with instructions.

.: Training :.
If you are accepted into the military, you will enter a training schedule to prepare you for your chosen branch. You will be given a minimum of nine (9) scenarios or tasks by your commanding officer or certified teacher concerning different talents/skills required for your job. You may also be required to participate in or create an RP that involves the military and possible situations that you may face in a commanding position while serving in the military.

After training, if the following option is not presented, you will be given a rank, either Ensign or Private, depending on Branch. At this time, a post will be made in the Military HQ officially announcing you as a member of our Order.

    .: Officer Training :.

If, after completing your minimum training requirements, you are found worthy of an officer position and rank, you will be notified by a ranking officer currently in the military. At this time you have two options open to you:

      1. Decide to stop your training and join the ranks of the military as a Ensign/Private.
      2. Decide to continue your training and enter the ranks of the military at a higher position.

While it is up to you to decide whether or not to participate, that is the most you will be able to choose while in this program. During your time in Officer Training, you will be given more tasks/simulations geared more to officer responsibilities. There will be no set number of tasks, and it is up to your appointed instructor and the Chief of Staffs to approve your commission and give you a rank they see fit.

If you choose option b and have not already completed the Officer Training Test during your application period, it will be administered now.

.: Discipline :.
If a enlisted member of the Imperial Military is charged with any violation of the Code of Conduct, he/she will immediately be suspended from active duty. During this suspension, the accused is allowed to formulate a defense until the Court Martial. Please look in the Code of Conduct for proper procedures in such cases.

.: Branches of the Military :.
The Imperial Military is split into two main branches, the Navy and the Army, to properly deal with different types of combat. The Navy deals with all space conflicts, while the Army controls the planet side conflicts.

      - In the Navy you can do two [2] different things: command a ship (capital, frigate, cruiser, etc) or you can fly a fighter (TIE, Interceptor, Phantom, etc).
      - In the Army, you can do many things, depending on the situation: command from a base of operations, lead in the field, ride in utility vehicles, go solo, and much more.

.: Base of Operations :.
As a military power, we are expected to defend our glorious Empire and all its inhabitants. To do so, we have created certain stations where we can store ships, men, weapons and knowledge. Of course, some bases are Military Personal Only, but here, listed below, are our main, public Base of Operations.

      - Kroprulu
        - The former capital of the Eternal Empire, our first headquarters resided here. As both a memorial and a strategic location, a base can currently be found here.

      - Kuat
        - The current capital of the Eternal Empire. Our current bureaucratic headquarters can be found here. Here our political officers and Order liaison officers may be found. Any political concerns with the military may be pursued here.

      - Korriban
        - Ancestral home of the Sith, an honor base can be found here. While a fully capable base, it is also home to the Military’s salute to our former Sith Lords/Ladies and former Emperors/Empresses.

      - Ziost
        - Another ancestral home to the Sith, a base and memorial may be found here.

      - Coruscant
        - Long saluted as the economic center of the galaxy, here the military keeps a presence, both for peace and civil rest, but also for its supplies. Here the General Quartermasters may be found, taking stock of our immense supplies and their needed locations.

      - Yaga Minor

        - Long admired for its extensive Imperial Library and hailed as a “Secondary Capital” to any Empire ruling the galaxy, Yaga Minor houses a Military outpost. Originally placed to guard the Empire’s information center, the Military has long done so by cooperating with the Royal Guard. As the Military expanded, Military Intel also took an interest in the planet, and now Yaga Minor is home to not just a Military Base, but is one of its main public Intel bases as well.

      - Kamino
        - Since before the Clone Wars, Kamino has housed one of the largest and best military training facilities. Not to stray from the path, we too train and outfit our men here, as well as hold a fully operational base.

      - The Zion
        - Not a planet, The Zion is a moving base of operations. Designed with the idea of a fully operational but mobile command center, the Zion was brought forth. Combining all features needed to deploy and maintain a military, the Zion is more like an artificial planet than base. Complete with a ship yard, command center, training center, defense network, supply base, and more, the Zion is a radical new idea approaching reality.

.: Expectations :.
An Imperial Officer and any member of the Military; no matter what rank, prestige, age, race, financial status, or family, is expected to uphold the Code of Conduct.

.: Official Military Ranks and Registrar :.

NOTES:
  • The strange, rare and mystic Force power known simply as Battle Meditation is a plus, but not required to hold any of these ranks, unless otherwise stated.
  • Officers listed in RED are Sith and Player Characters.
  • Officers listed in GREEN are Non-Player Characters [NPC's]

Supreme Commander
The Supreme Commander is the absolute authority within the military. Nothing, short of a decree by the Emperor/Empress him/herself, can overrule the Supreme Commander. There is one, and only one [1], Supreme Commander actively commissioned at any given time. The Supreme Commander, as the name and military doctrine may imply, needs to be versed in all forms of combat, whether in space or on a planet. They must show high understanding of strategy and tactics, and also the difference between the two. This is not a rank that you can ascend to. The Supreme Commander can also be referred to as: Imperial Executor, Military Executor, Dark Side Executor, and other combinations.

    Current Officer:
      Darth Marix

High Commander
Chief Aide to the Supreme Commander, the High Commander holds all the power of the Supreme Commander, as granted by the Supreme Commander, and can only be overruled by the Emperor/Empress and Supreme Commander. There is one, and only one [1], High Commander actively commissioned at any given time. The High Commander, as the name and military doctrine may imply, needs to be versed in all forms of combat, whether in space or on a planet. They must show high understanding of strategy and tactics, and also the difference between the two. This is not a rank that you can ascend to.

    Current Officer:
      Darth Vexen

    Naval Ranks
      Grand Admiral
The Grand Admiral is the final authority, excluding the Supreme Commander, on all matters concerning the Imperial Navy. Like the Supreme Commander, there can only be one [1] Grand Admiral within active duty at any given time, unless circumstances dictate the value of any other number. The Grand Admiral must be, again like the Supreme Commander, versed in all combat involving space (i.e. Fighter Craft, Capital Ships, Planetary Bombardments, etc…). One must show absolute devotion to the Military and the Empire, in order to gain this rank. This is not a rank that you can ascend to, and can only be presented by the Supreme Commander and/or Emperor/Empress.

        Current Officer:
          Vacant

Officer Ranks – Ranks held by individuals capable of commanding others into battle.

        Imperial Admiral
        - Five Star Admiral
The Imperial Admiral is, as the name suggests, the Admiral in charge of an Imperial fleet of ships. As with the Grand Admiral, the Imperial Admiral must be versed in all combat involving space, but not yet to the degree required by the Grand Admiral. Each fleet will have one [1] and only one [1] Imperial Admiral. In his/her fleet, he/she will be the final authority, unless a superior officer is present. The Imperial Admirals comprise the Naval Council and are the second-in-commands in the Navy. The Grand Admiral and/or Supreme Commander alone can present this rank.
          Current Officer(s):

          Superior Admiral
          - Four Star Admiral
The Superior Admiral is one of the most prestigious ranks known in any navy. Held by many great strategists and warriors, this rank is held only by those worthy to carry on its name. Officers of this rank must be loyal to the military and passionate about their goals. Able to command any ship type available [At most 25 ships] into battle, the Superior Admiral is respected by all that see him. This rank may be awarded by the Supreme Commander or Grand Admiral as seen fit.

            Current Officer(s):
Darth Lanik, Darth Magisto, Admirals Dalin, Odeb, Sol, and Vander

          Vice Admiral
          - Three Star Admiral
The Vice Admiral is the rank directly below an Admiral. Keen, and wise, he is a chief aide to an Admiral and his advice is weighed heavily in any and all matters. Quickly on the rise, he has been seen as a strategist and tactician by those above him and is respected by those below. Like the Admiral, he/she is capable of commanding any ship type available [At most 10 ships] into battle. This rank may be distributed by the Supreme Commander or Grand Admiral as they see fit.

            Current Officer(s):
              Darth Malice

          Rear Admiral
          - Two Star Admiral
The Rear Admiral is a rank held by loyal and persistent officers who have shown the ability to command multiple ships, but have also proven it through multiple combat experiences/situations. Capable of commanding most ship types available [At most 6 ships], and is respected when in battle. This is the rank that you may begin to lead ships or advise fleets during battle. Rear Admirals are relied heavily upon by Lord/Ladies given command of ship(s) and are generally requested by those who need help, for their young opinion and yet untainted pride. This rank may be given out by the Grand Admiral as seen fit.

            Current Officer(s):
Darth Barad-Dur, Rear Admirals Dawes, and Riley

          Rear Admiral (Lower Half)
          - One Star Admiral
The Rear Admiral (Lower Half) is held by loyal officers who have begun to show the ability to command and coordinate multiple ships into battle. They are able to command certain ship types [At most 3 ships] into battle at one time. The chief aide to a Rear Admiral, when one is present; the Rear Admiral (Lower Half) is a budding Sith with the gift of giving good and clear orders. This rank may be handed out by any higher ranking officer in the same branch of the military.

            Current Officer(s):

          Captain
A Captain has shown faint signs of command material. This Sith has been chosen, at the end of his minimal training, to be trained more deeply in the art of commanding men and ships. This is the normal rank achieved by those who opt for the officer training. A Captain may command very few ship types [At most 1 ship] into battle, and are usually paired with another officer to ensure proper procedure and safety. This rank may be given out by any higher ranking officer in the same military branch as they see fit.

            Current Officer(s):
Captains Jag, Jells, and Dan Steiffen

          Lieutenant Senior Grade
A Lieutenant Senior Grade is stationed aboard a capital ship. In charge of all fighter/bomber craft in his/her assignment, normally a ship or small group consisting of a few transports and a frigate. The SG is in charge of ordering training and normal maintenance. This rank may be bestowed by the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral, or a Vice-Admiral as they see fit.

            Current Registrar:
              Lieutenant Daniels

          Lieutenant Junior Grade
A Lieutenant JG, is stationed aboard a capital ship. The JG is the advisor and aide to a Lieutenant Senior Grade. Tasked with menial plotting tasks and organization, the JG is in charge of organizing the training of squadrons/wings and keeping the pilots sharp. This rank may be bestowed by the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral, or a Vice-Admiral as they see fit.

            Current Registrar:
              Lieutenant Darn

Non-Commissioned Ranks – Ranks held by individuals found not yet ready for real command or who turned down the officer training.

          Chief Petty Officer
Highest non-commissioned officer rank. The Chief Petty Officer  is stationed aboard a capital ship. In charge of all fighter/bomber craft in his/her assignment, normally a ship or small group consisting of a few transports and a frigate. The Chief Petty Officer is the last Non-Comm. voice of authority. The Chief Petty Officer is in charge of ordering training and normal maintenance. This rank may be bestowed by the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral, or a Vice-Admiral as they see fit.

            Current Registrar:

          Petty Officer
A Petty Officer, is stationed aboard a capital ship. The Petty Officer is the advisor and aide to a Chief Petty Officer. Current Registrar:

          Squadron Commander

This rank may be bestowed by the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral, or a Vice-Admiral as they see fit

            Current Registrar:

            Wing Commander
The rank above a pilot, this Sith has shown to be loyal and responsible. As such, this Sith is in charge of a wing of either fighters or bombers. A wing consists of multiple ships, normally three to five [3-5]. This rank may be bestowed by the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral, or a Vice-Admiral as they see fit

              Current Registrar:

              Pilot
A pilot is the next rank up from Ensign. When a pilot, a Sith is in charge of one thing, his/her ship. They, as the name might suggest, pilot a fighter, bomber, transport, or shuttle. This rank may be bestowed by the Supreme Commander, the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral or a Vice Admiral as they see fit.

                Current Registrar:

                Ensign
The very lowest rank in the Navy, an Ensign has just completed normal training and was not picked or opted not to participate in Officer Training. An Ensign’s responsibilities are compiled of many shipboard duties, like: cleaning, tractor-beam technician, gunners, navigation operator, and more. This rank may be bestowed by the Supreme Commander, the Grand Admiral, a Fleet Admiral, an Admiral or a Vice Admiral as they see fit.

                  Current Registrar:

            Army Ranks
              High General
The High General, excluding the Supreme Commander, is the final authority concerning the Imperial Army. Like the Supreme Commander and Grand Admiral, there can only be one [1] High General within active duty at any given time, unless circumstances dictate the value of any other number. Like the Supreme Commander, the High General must be versed in all combat concerning anything within a planet’s atmosphere, and in some cases in space (asteroids and space stations). One must show absolute devotion to the Military and the Empire, in order to gain this rank. This is not a rank that you can ascend to, and can only be presented by the Supreme Commander and/or Emperor/Empress.

                Current Officer:
                  Vacant

                Officer Ranks

                Imperial General
                - Five Star General
The Imperial Generals, like the Imperial Admirals are to the Navy, are the second-in-commands to the Army. In each fleet will have one [1] and only one [1] Imperial General. In his/her fleet, he/she will be the final authority, unless a superior officer is present. The Imperial General is in charge of the fleet’s entire ground assault forces, whether it be the men, transportation, ammunition, or other, the Imperial General has the final say. The High General and/or Supreme Commander alone can present this rank.

                  - Four Star General
The Superior General is the Army’s equivalent of an Admiral. The Superior General, normally, is in charge of the assault forces of up to twenty-five [25] ships. He has proven himself in combat and is gifted with a strategic mind; the Superior General is respected by many. The High General or Supreme Commander may present this rank as fit.

                    Current Officer(s):
, Superior General Kilorn, Darth Veritas

                  Lieutenant General
                  - Three Star General
The Lieutenant General is the chief aide to a Superior General. He has shown the ability to command and possesses a sharp mind. The Lieutenant General is only a few steps away from becoming a Superior General himself, and his advice is heavily weighed. The Lieutenant General is in charge of the assault forces of up to ten [10] ships. The High General and/or Supreme Commander may present this rank as fit.

                    Current Officer(s):

, Colonel Ellias - Imperial Marines, Darth Ranov'la

                  Major
A major is the chief aide to a colonel. He is close in rank, but lacks the necessary experience to hold the rank of a colonel. Military Liaisons

As the names might suggest, the Military Liaisons are the military’s ties to each respective Order, School, and other organizations. The normal maximum of a liaison is one to each outside organization, but this is amendable. They are ambassadors of sorts and have usually shown interest in their chosen semi-order. So as such, a liaison to the Church has limited abilities to prophesize, and could have joined the Church is he had so chosen. Thus, a liaison is a vital link to the other organizations within the Empire and must be ready to work hard to keep the pathways smooth between the military and other groups.

                      Liaisons to the Royal Guard

Current Registrar: Darths Barad-Dur and Malice

                    .: Other Ranks :.
This is a list of other ranks within the Imperial Military. These ranks cannot be ascended to, and must be presented by either the Supreme Commander, High Commander, Grand Admiral, and/or High General.

                      Trainee
Trainees can be found in all branches of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces. They are those that have yet to be commissioned, but are still within their chosen field, being trained by experienced and superior officers normally found within that field. It is the duty of the Trainee to pursue their training if anything is to delay or pause it, not that of their training officer. Trainees will be assigned the lowest rank within their branch to be able to distinguish them.
Current Registrar: Darth Angmar, Darth Rachk

                      Quartermaster
The Quartermaster is in charge of all physical supplies, minus ammunition, needed by his respective Military Branch. There is only one Quartermaster for each military branch, thus two [2] at most, and they work together to achieve their ends. This is mainly a political job, and the Quartermasters can be found in the bureaucratic office of the Imperial Military.

                        Current Registrar:

                      Ammunition Master
The Ammunition Master is like the Quartermaster, but instead deals with the ammunition aspect of supplies. Whether it be the different gases needed, the many missiles employed or the development of newer, better weapons, the Ammunition Master is in charge. There is only one Ammunition Master for each military branch, thus two [2] at most, and they work together to achieve their ends. This is also a political job, and the Ammunition Masters can be found in the bureaucratic office of the Imperial Military.

                        Current Registrar:

                      War Lord
The War Lord is a much respected position. The holders of this position have proven themselves again and again in their chosen area of combat. They are highly held and their advice is more of a command. There can be only one for each branch of the Military, thus two [2] at any given time. The War Lords are capable, at any time, of commanding/commandeering any military group, whether it be ships or men. They are second only to the Supreme Commander and the Grand Admiral and High General. These ranks must be presented by a joint agreement of the just said officers.

                        Current Registrar:

                      Battle Master
The Battle Masters are very much like the War Lords. In fact, the War Lords is normally chosen from the Battle Masters. There can only be four [4] Battle Masters at any time, unless time dictates otherwise, and only two [2] for each Military Branch. The Battle Master, like the War Lord, is respected for his experience and command ability. The Battle Masters are capable, at any time, of commanding/commandeering any military group, whether it is ships or men. They are second to the War Lords, Supreme Commander, Grand Admiral, and High General only. These ranks must be presented by a joint agreement of the just said officers, other than the War Lords.

Every member of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces is liable to be subjected to a Court Martial upon the whim of the Supreme Commander, High Commander, Grand Admiral, and/or High General.

                    Code I: The Court Martial

Article I: Initiating the Court Martial

Section 1: Notification: Upon the issuance of a Court Martial, the Accused shall be notified within three -3- days of the decision being reached and no later than five -5- days before the Court Martial.

Section 2: Preparation: The Accused shall have a minimum of five -5- days to prepare their defense.

Section 3: Defense: The Accused may contact any member of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officer and/or The Eternal Empire to help prepare a defense against the accusations.
Sub-Section 3.A: Obtaining a Defense: The Accused must notify any potential Sith and/or Armed Forces Officers to obtain their Counsel within two -2- days of the Court Martial.
Sub-Section 3.B: Invalid Counsel: The Supreme Commander and High Commander are invalid for providing Counsel. The Procurate of the Council of Justice is also invalid for Counsel. This does not invalidate the entire Council of Justice.

The Accused is required to appear promptly, wearing their dress uniform. Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officers acting as Counsel must also wear their dress uniform. Sub-Section 1.A: Additional Accusations: Crimes committed during the Court Martial will be immediately added into the presented Accusations. These crimes are not defendable, and do not need to be included within the Defense Points or Pleaded against. The plea is automatically Guilty and cannot be changed.

Section 2: The Defense: The Defense may be presented by the Accused or an approved Counsel. The Defense must be drafted in proper form and only address the presented Accusations. The Accused is now called the Charged.
Sub-Section 2.A: The Counsel: The Counsel, if not of Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officer rank, holds no rank within the Court Martial, no matter what Tier, Order, or Council the Counsel resides in/on outside of the Court Martial. If the Counsel is of Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officer rank, they will hold that rank within the Court Martial, and hold all powers of their obtained rank.
Sub-Section 2.A.1: A Counsel holding Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officer rank cannot use the powers given by their rank to interfere with the proceedings of the Court Martial. Such as ordering a subordinate scribe to omit a statement, or ordering a subordinate in the witness stand to silence.
Sub-Section 2.B: The Defense Points: Any Defense Section that does not address a presented Accusation shall be removed from the draft by either the Supreme or High Commander upon notification of the invalid Defense Section.
Sub-Section 2.B.1: Plea: Each Defense Point must be concluded with a plea of Guilty or Not Guilty. Any omission of a plea shall be considered Obstructing Justice, Code III: Article II: Section 8, and be added to the Accusations.

Section 3: Adjourning the Court: The Court may be adjourned at any point during the proceedings of the Court Martial. Only the Supreme Commander or High Commander may adjourn the Court.
Sub-Section 3.A:  Early Verdict Adjourning: If the Charged pleads Guilty to all the Accusations, then the Court is adjourned for the reaching of the Verdict.
Sub-Section 3.B: Adjourning for Recess: If any member of the Court cannot continue to attend the Court Martial, the Supreme Commander or High Commander may decide to adjourn the Court. The re-convening date and time must be determined before the Declaration of Recess. If it is impossible for the Recess to be determined, a Prolonged Recess must be declared.
Sub-Section 3.B.1: Prolonged Recess: A Prolonged Recess is a Recess without a pre-determined re-convening date and time. To re-convene after a Prolonged Recess, the participating members of the Court Martial; the Accused, the Counsel(s), the Supreme Commander or High Commander, and the Witnesses, must be notified three -3- days prior to the re-convening.

Article III: Concluding the Court Martial

Section 1: The Verdict: The Verdict is the final decision regarding the Court Martial. The Verdict may only be presented by the Supreme Commander or High Commander, following Verdict Procedure.
Sub-Section 1.A: Verdict Points: The Verdict must address every Accusation presented against the Charged. Accusations that have been dismissed must be addressed as such.

Section 2: Sentence Execution: Any and all punishments shall be declared and executed before the closing of the Court Martial. The punishments may be executed by a Sith Imperial Armed Forces Officer accepted by the Supreme Commander and/or High Commander. The Charged is now known as the Convicted.

Section 3: Closing of the Court Martial: Upon the closing of the Court Martial, all records of the Court Martial shall be stored in the Armed Forces Archive as well as the records of the High Council and High Historian. Any records not created by/for any member of the aforementioned bodies shall be considered Fraud and Infringement of Sith Imperial Armed Forces Security.

Sub-Section 4.B: The Appeal Itself: Having met the Appeal Requirements, the Convicted may now Appeal to the Military Martial Court. An Appeal is very much like a Court Martial.
Sub-Section 4.B.1: Appeal Presentation: The Convicted will present a set of pre-drafted Appealed Verdict Points to the Military Martial Court.
Sub-Section 4.B.2: Presiding Over the Appeal: Since the Military Martial Court is now more decidedly involved, a member of the Council of Justice must also preside over the Appeal. Both the Supreme Commander and High Commander need to be present in an Appeal.
Sub-Section 4.B.3: Appeal Conclusion: If substantial evidence is presented to convince the Supreme Commander, High Commander and Council of Justice Member to overturn the previous Verdict, all overturned charges shall be dropped and removed from the Convicted’s Record. The Convicted is now referred to as the Released when dealing with the Verdicts that were overturned.

If the Convicted wishes to end the Temporary Demotion on their own, they must be present him/herself as prepared to assume the duties of his/her previous rank to their Branch Commanding Officer [Grand Admiral or High General]. After this point either the Supreme Commander or High Commander must be notified of the Promotion of Rank by the corresponding Branch Commanding Officer.

                      Article III: Tertiary Tier Sentences

Section 1: Demotion: The Convicted shall be demoted by one-two rank(s) depending on the magnitude of the Crime committed. This is non-negotiable and non-removable. Anyone sentenced to a Demotion cannot gain back their previous rank except though normal promotions.

Section 2: Extended Demotion: The Convicted shall be demoted to a non-Officer rank for an undefined period of time.
Sub-Section 2.A: Ending Demotion: Unlike a Demotion, this sentence is capable of being lifted. An Extended Demotion may be ended by the Supreme Commander, High Commander, or respective Branch Commanding Officer at any point during the Extended Demotion. If the Convicted wishes to end the Extended Demotion on their own, they must be present him/herself as prepared to assume the duties of his/her previous Officer rank to their Branch Commanding Officer [Grand Admiral or High General]. After this point either the Supreme Commander or High Commander must be notified of the Promotion of Rank by the corresponding Branch Commanding Officer and approve the reinstatement of rank as well.

Section 3: Suspension: The Convicted shall be removed from any and all posts, offices, commitments within the Sith Imperial Armed Forces for an undefined period of time.
Sub-Section 3.A: Ending Suspension: The reinstatement to active duty of one sentenced with Suspension is entirely upon the whim of the Supreme Commander and/or High Commander. Branch Commanding Officers may ask or request reinstatement, but cannot execute it without the authority of either the Supreme Commander of High Commander. If the High Commander approves the reinstatement, he/she must notify the Supreme Commander of such changes. If the Supreme Commander is otherwise disposed, he/she may revert the reinstatement upon his/her arrival to the situation.

Section 4: Dishonorable Discharge: The Convicted shall immediately be removed from any and all active duty, posts, offices, and commitments within the Sith Imperial Armed Forces. A Dishonorable Discharge will be added to his/her permanent record.
Sub-Section 4.A: Permanence: A Dishonorable Discharge cannot be removed from the Official Record of any Sith or (ex-)member of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces.
Sub-Section 4.B: Re-Entrance: While it is not common, a Sith dishonorably discharged may re=apply to the Sith Imperial Armed Forces. While he/she may be rejected based on their Dishonorable Discharge, they are allowed to re-apply. All previous ranks, offices, posts, and commitments are no longer held, commanded, or liable though.

Section 5: Execution: The Convicted is executed in a manner chosen by the Supreme Commander, High Commander, and Procurate. The Emperor/Empress must also agree with the execution if the Convicted ranks as a Sith in the Empire. This can be no appeal for this Sentence or intervention except by the Emperor/Empress or the Darkest Knight in his/her Imperial Stead.
