"The virus" discussionA deadly virus is impact the empire. It is a new one, and has scientists buffled. Some people from the empire must go and find a cure, defeat the virus and cleanse the entire empire without killing anyone.

Technically you could kill, as long as in the RP no one else knew about it. Or the Council had no way of finding out. The Council is an IC body, therefore it would not be able to try you for things the council-members knew only by OOC means.
I might be able to pop in as Marix for a bit, say redirecting fleets to blockade or ease your travel. And I might get in as an NPC. Perhaps the Captain or Admiral of whatever ships you have.

Hmmm, maybe. 
The virus is infecting thousands of personnel around the empire, and is growing fast. Yet our alchemists/ prophets/ scientists do not know what is wrong, and everytime they try to cure it, it just grows bigger. That is why it is up to us to find what "it" actually is, search for a cure, and cure all of the inhabitants. Also, perhaps there was a new "race", one that is sneaking into the empire, "illegal immigrants" if I may, that is transmitting the disease that is contagious to all. Although, the species itself carries it, but is not affected by it. So what we will probably have to do is wipe them out, and extract some from them, or if that fails, there has to be another solution.
Does that answer you Lord Aequitas? Of course it doesnt have to be that way, becuase this is sort of an "investigative" mission.

You are the head of the council, but that doesn't give you OOC abilities to read their posts and try them unless you know about it IC'ly. Celestial could walk off without you guys and kill someone and there would be no way for you or the Council to know unless he told you.

I seriously doubt that you know what I can and can't do as Procurate. When I assumed the positon, the Emperor said I could try anybody from any RP if they broke a law. This will not differ.

Well that is completely bogus. If there is no IC way for you to know about it, you shouldn't be able to conduct an IC trial.

I never said that Council was bogus, just your "ability" to try people in an IC matter, over an IC crime, that you had no IC way of knowing about.
If I want to resign, I would have presented a formal resignation. If anything was to be taken out of what I said, it would be that i want to stay on teh Council to try and keep the bogus charges out of the equation.
