30 Years Ago on May 25...30 years ago today (May 25), the first Star Wars movie came out. The film has had a major impact on our lives and culture. If you disagree you must have been living on the planet Hoth inside the Wampa's cave hanging from the ceiling.
President Reagan labeled the Soviet Union "the Evil Empire" and so has :arry Lucchino of the Red Sox to the Yankees. Reagan also called his 'Laser Defense' plan 'Star Wars'.
In the 2001 New Zealand census, more people labeled their religion as 'Jedi' than Buddhists or Hindus, making it surpass even Great Britain, which has 390,000 registered 'Jedi Practitioners, with the largest per-capita concentration of Jedis in the world.
One supposibly 'sane' man in Wollaston, Massachusetts, United States, named his son 'Luke'. Just so he could lean over the crib and say in a deep voice, "Luke... I am your Father!"

Anyways, I was born into a devote Star Wars family. I was taught that it is just short of a way of life. But really, I don't mind if people say that they don't like Star Wars. I'm not big into baseball, so if someone says they don't like Star Wars, I just say everyone is entitled to thier own opinions, no matter how misguided the opinion is.

The exchange goes:
Vader: Obi-Wan never told you the truth about your father.
Luke: He told me enough! He told me you killed him.
Vader: No, I am your father.
He doesn't say "Luke, I am your father", he says "No, I am your father."
So the guy kinda screwed up...

Not really. Everyone says it that way, except SW fans, which is the mark of a true fan. If he was fan enough to name his son Luke just to do that, you'd think he'd know the line.
