A Glimer of Hope.A Glimmer of hope.
Chapter One
“I know what will happen, and there will be problems.” Vikro said to the rest of the Council members.
“He should be dealt with immediately.” Rive added.
“Well, the Jedi way does not permit those kinds of actions. So, we must find a different course of action.” Abba said with a frown.
“He’s killed so many; if he is not stopped then he could join with the other Sith and take control of a large section of the galaxy!” Shatterpoint exclaimed with anger.
“Enough. I suggest that, for the time being, we wait patiently for the answer to come to us, instead of negligent rash aggression.” Abba said with a strong firmness in her voice.
“Very well, but we should be careful and open about the events in the galaxy. Council adjourned.” Vikro finalized.
Outside the Jedi Temple
Korag sat on the steps that led to the Temple, gazing at the cloudless blue sky. Thinking of what had happened to him in the past few weeks. Being constantly attacked by Sith who were getting bolder in their plans. Having seen one of his prized ships be destroyed by a Sith by the name of Darth Vexen. And time and time again, his rival Darth Matas clashed sabers with him. Still, these things seemed to not matter in the least when he stared at the sky.
“You know, Kiffar are more sensitive to the environment around them.” Korag said with a smile as one of his old friends tried to sneak up on him.
“Darn, I still can’t catch you off guard. Heh, no wonder lots of Kiffar become Jedi.” Necto replied with a return smile.
“Well, I guess I’m just lucky that way.” Korag said, returning his gaze to the sky.
“I wonder what Totti would say if he heard you say that.” Necto said with a small laugh.
“Yeah, my Master is great. He……… understands some of the things that happened to me that the other masters wouldn’t understand.” Korag happily exclaimed with warmth in his heart.
Korag and Necto continued to converse for several minutes until Necto was summoned to the training rooms. He told Korag that he would be back shortly, for his master needed him to train with a new droid that would help to enhance a person’s reflexes. As Korag resumed his thinking, he started to meditate. As the minutes went by, he received many images that showed him in the middle of a battlefield. Surrounding him were the bodies of untold numbers of Jedi. Many of which he knew and was friends with. As he looked around he saw dark figures in the distance. He guessed them to be Sith, and as he prepared for battle, he was stuck from behind. He turned to see who this attacker was. It was Darth Tarna, and as this vision of Tarna was about to strike Korag down with his saber, Korag awoke from his meditation.
“Are you alright?” Necto asked with a frightened look on his face.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Korag assured his friend.
“When I came back you where quietly meditating so I left you alone. But all of a sudden you started to look like you where in pain. It kinda scared me.” Necto explained.
“Yes I had an awful vision. I think I should speak with the Council later.” Korag said with a grim look on his face.
“Well, hopefully it’s nothing. Would you like to come inside and watch the podraces?” Necto asked.
“Sure. I heard that they will be having some racers from the illegal circuits.” Korag replied with a smile. Whatever it is, I will have my friends to help me stand. Korag thought to himself.
Somewhere in the Outer Rim
“So, it really does exist. How gracious will it be to be in the hands of the Sith.” Tarna exclaimed with a sadistic smile.
“Yes, but to get it we will need more Sith and some help from an old friend.” Matas replied with a stern emotionless look on his face.
“And I know a great place where we can get volunteers.” Vexen added from the shadows.
