Emperor Shadow

A Matter of Time

The hall was otherwise unremarkable. It had simple stone and marble furnishings. Few modern technological feats were in the chamber. Datapads, holoreaders, projectors, and a couple service droids. It hardly looked like a suitable, modern, sleek meeting place for the finest minds in the galaxy.

The Emperor had called for a meeting of the finest mines in science, philosophy, and the Empire to discuss, debate and weigh the possibility of time travel.

Jax Kabourne would be officiating the six-day conference's business. Meetings, seminars and the like would take place daily here in the Old Temple's meeting chamber. Watching from a distance, the Emperor sat in a balcony with aids and handpicked Sith apprentices. The experience would be a good lesson in politics, science, diplomacy and stealth.

He nodded to Kabourne, who brought the first day's events to order. "Welcome to Kuat. Emperor Shadow has called for a civil debate, so here's hoping Sith participants have left their lightsabers at home."

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the capital, the Inquisitors were making swift searches of the scientists, sages, philosophers quarters. Shadow leaned his head on his steepeled fingers. "Take it away," he whispered.
High Mage Serratus

High Mage Serratus was part of the assembled. He was there for the dual purpose of representing the Order of Sith Mages, who were interested in time travel as it would allow them to discover more about lost civilisations and other wonders of the galaxy and also because he had a vested interest in time travel.

Serratus had a theory on how limited time travel might be possible, but the technology was almost incomprehendable, at least to him. Therefore, one of the other scientific minds assembled might have some knowledge of the possibilities.

Serratus smiled at Kabourne's comment on lightsabers. He had not techinically brought a lightsaber, save for the one hidden in Arbiter, his staff, which never left his person.
Sovereign Defender Tarna

Grand Moff Tarna sat quietly in the front of the room.  He was not here for the affairs of science, he was ready for when the politicians started jumping at each other's throats and he would become a referee between them.  Until then, he would try and stay out of the spotlight.  If the day went perfectly, he just may be able to get through the whole summit with little more than shaking hands for the HoloNet.
