Superior Nighthawk
A New Face.((I want to start an RP so here it is. Anyone is welcome to join in.))
Vala Nighthawk was sitting on a bench in the Temple. She was surprised at how fast she had begun her training immediately after she came. Right now she was on a short break from her training. Right now the training wasn't bad, but Vala knew the nature of the Sith. She had a feeling her training wasn't going to be smooth sailing.
She watched as some people passed her by. Some were Lords, others were of lower rank.
Vala decided to see more of the Temple. She stood and casually walked down a long hall.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Dark Lord Tarna was walking down the halls of the Kuat Temple. He had come for a meeting with leaders from the Expansionist Party, and so was not in the best of moods. Following him were several aides from his office, who were all talking to him about what just happened in the meeting...but he wasn't listening. He kept nodding to make them feel as if he cared.
He saw the young girl who someone said was being trained by the Emperor himself. Interested, he shooed his aides away and went up to her.
"Greetings, apprentice. I am Shadow Protector, Grand Moff, Director, and Dark Lord...Tarna Dallow. Your name?" he inquired.
Superior Nighthawk
Vala could hear the footsteps of many feet. She stopped dead in her tracks as he approached her. Vala stayed silent as he spoke then bowed her head at Tarna in respect. "I'm Vala Nighthawk mi'lord." She said.
Supreme Commander Alor
Markaro Vos, stood at the entrance to the Sith Temple on Kuat. It had been moved, through a tedious and careful process, from Kroprulu to the current capital Kuat when Emperor Shadow named his new throne planet. He remembered standing in these very halls, twenty odd years earlier, when he was still barely an apprentice, waiting for his master, Brigadier General Matas to arrive to begin teaching him.
Pushing forward, he entered the building for the first time in five years. Since his ascension to Supreme Commander, his life had been filled with completing the Naval Reconstruction he had start as Grand Admiral, as well as the Reconstruction of the entire Armed Forces, and spare time was hard to find, especially when he was on the capital planet, where his duties expanded to entertaining bureaucrats and other worthless clogs in the government system.
He walked down the long hallway, guarded, it seemed, by statues and relics of the Sith of the past, Dark Lords and Minions, Dark Jedi and Warriors. While the more important got more attention to detail and appearance, they were all there, within its halls.
He paused, hearing the padded footsteps of a younger being, smaller than his 2 meter height and lighter him as well, but capable of connecting to the Force, and using his/her talents. He continued walking, closer to the other person, and happened upon the Emperor's newest apprentice, as well as his long time, well acquaintance, Shadow Protector Tarna.
"Welcome to the Temple." He said, stopping to talk with her. While nodding his greetings to the Grand Moff, amongst many other titles.
Superior Nighthawk
Vala looked at Tarna. He had the look of someone greatly important to the Empire. She then turned her head to see another stranger. After hearing his greeting she responded.
"Thank you sir." She said.
Supreme Commander Alor
Markaro remembered hearing Tarna give a long list of his titles, so he decided to introduce himself as well. Not with all his titles, but rather the two he felt were the most important.
"I am Sith Lord Marix, Supreme Commander of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces. Any ship or soldier in the Empire indirectly receive their orders from me."
Superior Nighthawk
Vala nodded.
"So you're the head of the Sith Army in other words." She said. Vala didn't have the skill or the right knowledge for the army and on top of that, she wasn't interested in joining the Sith Army. Vala wanted to learn what she could from the Emperor. She then wanted to join the Royal Guard... if the Emperor allowed her to.
Supreme Commander Alor
"Not just the Army, but the Navy as well." Darth Marix replied, hoping to perhaps gain another recruit. While the Armed Forces were the largest order in terms of finances and man power, they also required every ounce of the money and men it had. Defending an entire galaxy against threats, seen and unseen, was not a petty task.
High Defender Adenn
"Must you always intimidate the new comers with long titles and duties M'lords." The High protector asked as he stepped from behind the Supreme Commander, as if out of no where. It had been some time since the Green Kel'dor had walked these halls, it just happened by chance that he had been requested there to oversee the new Guards that now stood two to a door way. It had been a moment before he continued, "Lord Tarna." Adenn said with a bow. "I have reviewed the Guard here, all exemplary and up to the Guards standers. "It is also pleasant to see you as well Supreme Commander." He said with a small bow, his alien accent cracking as he spoke the Galactic Basic Language.
"Ah, now then, the Emperor's new pupil. I have heard that you have shown interest in the Royal Guard. I looked forward to hearing from you when you have graduated the Emperor's training." He said as he finished, waiting for the others to respond.
Superior Nighthawk
Upon hearing a different voice, Vala quickly turned her head toward the voice of the Kel'dor after he revealed himself. After he spoke, Vala bowed her head toward him.
"Of course mi'lord. I'm very eager to join and I don't plan on letting you, Lord Tarna, and this Empire down."
High Defender Adenn
"I am no Lord, please just refer to me as High Protector." He said as he looked from her to Marix. "Lord Marix here is in command of both the Army and the Navy, not just the one." Adenn continued as he looked back to her. He noticed her lack of speech, a sign that one would be rather nervous with three high ranking Sith around them. "Please feel free to speak freely, we won't kill you. Maybe just torture." Adenn said at an a tempt to make a joke.
Superior Nighthawk
Vala cracked a smile.
"Torture? Oh I know a thing or two about torture. I have a few techniques that I came up with." She said as her kind smile turned into a wicked grin. She only hoped the Emperor wasn't in earshot of her. She wouldn't like it if he was to use her own techniqes on her.
Supreme Commander Alor
[[Yes, the SFC was made up on the spot.]]
"Ah, High Protector Adenn, it has been too long since the Guards Liaison to the Military has visited our headquarters. I am sure that you have been kept busy though, with the Ambassador from Yaga Minor coming in soon for the Shipyards Federation Conference, as well as from all the other major shipyards in the Empire."
Turning to the young lady that stood still, staring at the two Lords and the High Protector, he gave a rare hint of a smile, for her courage to banter with the High Protector.
"Torture, is not a productive tool in my line of work. If the enemy knows they will be treated badly, they fight to the death rather than surrender when faced with overwhelming defeat. So we try to avoid such things in the Armed Forces."
Superior Nighthawk
"Thats nice Marix but I'm not interested in joining your order." Vala said before taking a subtle step toward Tarna. "I feel as though I'm better suited for the Royal Guard."
High Prophet Crozeus
"It's Lord Marix." A voice said, as Crozeus stepped from behind a pillar. He smiled. "Prophet Crozeus, Moff of Cerea. A pleasure."
He looked around with a smile. It was odd to see so many high ranking Sith in one room. The power of the Dark Side filled his veins and he breathed deeply, relishing it.
High Mage Serratus
Serratus, who had decided to take a stroll while Sadow dueled Ultiria, noticed a group of fellow Order leaders, Marix, Tarna, Adenn and Crozeus, all in a group around a young women in black attire. He quickly identified her as Vala Nighthawk, apprentice to the Emperor. He approached the group as Crozeus introduced himself.
"And I am High Mage Serratus, Moff of Tatooine, Imperial Historian and Diplomat and Tepasi noble. As my dear friend Prophet Crozeus noted, it is a pleasure."
Superior Nighthawk
Vala was surprised to see so many faces. She started to feel at home now.
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you." She said with a friendly smile.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
"Gentlemen, any more of us and surely an alarm somewhere will go off. This young lady has hardly been here very long and the entire welcoming committee has come to greet her...and then some more." he laughed.
"Apprentice Nighthawk, I look forward to seeing you again. I encourage you to make very good friends with the High Protector, as he's in charge of our application office." Tarna winked and nodded back towards the group, "Gentlemen."
He started walking away and then wheeled about, "Supreme Commander, did you receive my note about the Bastion budget negotiations?"
Supreme Commander Alor
The Supreme Commander nodded his agreement with Lord Tarna's statement and made his exit from the small gathering. Heading towards his counterpart in the Royal Guard, he replied.
"It arrived yesterday, and I managed to briefly glance over it before appearing before the Moff Council to present the update on the MAZ. I would suggest we meet to discuss some of its finer points. My Kuat Office, 1900 tomorrow?"
Superior Nighthawk
Vala watched as Tarna walked away.
"Yes sir." She said under her breath with a smile. Vala then turned to Adenn.
"So what kind of skills are required by your Order High Protector?" She asked him. Vala was very curious.
High Mage Serratus
Serratus turned to Crozeus.
"It seems are services are not needed Darth Crozeus. Perhaps I could discuss an...alchemical issue with you? On Tatooine, some time this week?"
High Prophet Crozeus
Crozeus inclined his head. "But of course, High Mage. I'll make sure I have some time to spare."
He cast one more eye over the newcomer. With devotion and skills, she could become very powerful indeed, and that could make her a threat. He would monitor her progress very closely indeed. Nodding to Serratus he turned and left the chamber.
High Mage Serratus
Serratus saluted Crozeus as he left before turning whiddershins and strolling back towards the Training Grounds. He wondered if he would find Sadow there once again.
Superior Nighthawk
Vala turned to Corzeus.
"I can feel your hostility toward me through the force. I can assure you, Corzeus, I would not harm anyone in the Sith unless ordered by the Emperor himself, and he would have to have a good reason for it. I am no threat to the Sith. Why would I want to harm the people who feel like family to me?"
High Prophet Crozeus
Crozeus turned back when he heard her voice, addressing him. He looked at her, a slight grin probing the corners of his mouth. "If you cannot answer that question, you cannot achieve anything as a Sith."
Superior Nighthawk
Vala turned and shook her head slightly. He under estimates me. She thought to herself.
"Well I suppose I should get back to the Emperor." Vala said to the crowd before walking off to the training grounds.
