I want to get a guitar soon. I want either a Gibson Flying V like this,

or a Fender Stratocaster like this,

. These two guitars are really expensive and I would like to know if anyone knows a cheap alternative.

I have a Squier by Fender Strat. I'd have to say it's nearly identical to a regular one. I highly recommend it, probably one of the best guitars you can buy at that budget.

My grandfather has the second one, very good... Worth it but i'm guessing you don't have a bank account with $..Tri ebay.

The Stratacaster is definitely the way to go if you have the budget for it. If your just starting off I'd sugest the gibson or a Peavy Raptor.

Fender is great, top of the line but if your just starting off and don't have the money for a 300- 500$ guitar go for the lower end product. I started guitar with a Peavy and it's suited me just fine. The package deal was around 200 bucks with the amp and accessories. After 2 and a half years I'm just now getting a new guitar for my level and my money.

My choich would be the Fender Strat but thats just me.
