I dont know but on the game ROTS, Anakin can kill Obi-Wan and then he killed the emporor. This suggests that he would have been the head of the empire, a lot more powerful than sidious' puppet...

Of course he would. Everything written post-ROTS has had some mention of how disappointed Sidious was after his über-powerful apprentice that he finally turned to the Dark Side, gets all his limbs hacked off and becomes a walking wound in a life support suit.
For the next twenty years, Sidious tries to groom one potential apprentice after another to take Vader's place, but even trapped in an iron lung suit, Vader is still incredibly powerful, and can take anyone who dares challenge his position.

((Major Necro post)) In RODV Vader feels he has become weaker because of the suit. He goes on about how the med droids failed him miserably. And I love the alternate ending in the game.

((Another late post)) If someone lost all their limbs, they also loss a LARGE amount of Midi-chlorians resulting in a major loss of Force powers. It was stated that after Mustafar, he was around one-third as powerfull as the Emperor, yet before, he was twice as powerful.

He didn't want to kill Luke..hmm I belieave Vader was still more powerful then the Emperor even when he was in the suit..In one of the storys if i'm not wrong they bring back Maul to see who was more worthy of being the Emperor's apprentice or something...Vader puts his saber through himself and kills Maul..Now if that isn't a badass kickarse powerful dude I don't know what is...
Hmmm It's a shame what happend to Vader,If he left Mustafar with all his limbs I think he would of tried to kill the Emperor sooner,alot sooner.Anakin was amazing and to see Luke only get a part of what Vader held was odd.But Sidious knew he couldn't replace Vader even if he was weaker there was no one that could stand up to Vader except himself.He tried to train new apprentices like Mara Jade for when Vader would die.Darth Vader was in terrible shape and most likely would have died 10yrs down the road from his injuries..if it would take that long.
So in overall if Vader didn't lose all his limbs which toke away about all of his power he would no doubt have and ever would be the most powerful Sith..Prob would have found the secret to eturnal life and live past Legacy ..y?Cuz Vaders badass like dat

1. Darth Maul was brought to life again by a splinter group of Sith, whom the Emperor had killed after the duel. The Emperor had nothing to do with that.
2. That was Darth Vader's intention since before he left Mustafar, to kill the Emperor and take the Galaxy for his own...
3. The Emperor was trying to replace Vader for some time, which is why he desired Luke alive, and insisted for him to kill his father. Only when it was obvious that Luke would not turn, he choose to kill him.
