Bands That Need More Exposure

A number of bands of whom I am a fan and, in some cases, a friend, who I think need more exposure because, well, frankly, they're awesome. Anyone else can mention bands they think need more exposure too, of course.

First of all, we have my childhood friends' band Forests In Floodlights. They're an alternative/progressive rock band from my hometown, currently instrumental but in the process of getting a singer. So far they've recorded six songs, five of which can be found on their page because they removed the sixth for some reason. Four of these songs have been released on a demo CD and the demo versions can be heard on their page.

Keeping it in my hometown, we move to another friends' band, DeadBeat! (the exclamation mark must be included or else you FAIL). They too have recorded themselves a demo and I'm going to see them on Sunday Very Happy Noice.

Another local band, the literal mentors of Forests In Floodlights, Clurichaun are my hometown's resident metal band. They've just recorded an EP. It's good stuff.

Hopping ten miles south, we have one of the most popular bands on the South Tipp rock scene, Maslow. Rather than ramble on about their achievements, I will sum it up by saying they are simply awesome.

Keeping in the same area, The Producers are a great band who recently played one of the country's most prominent rock festivals, the Junction Festival. I was unfortunately out of the country at the time but I have been told it was rather epic.

I've been rambling long enough, so I'll close by mentioning Cork City's Machismo, Picture the Scene and Yesterday's Heroes and Thurles's December's Ashes.
Darth Thrax

A band from San Diego, California, Children of Nova is classified as Progressive and Psychadelic Rock with a lot of Soul. If you are a fan of Coheed and Cambria, you will definitely love this band. Here's to you Crozeus and Serratus. Wink Coheed and Cambria is their biggest inspiration and you can definitely hear it in the way they play. Even if you don't like Coheed and Cambria, just give these guys a try.
