Clone Wars from Cartoon Network

I just got done watching the two clone wars cartoon DVD and I have to say those are some great Star Wars action scenes, especially the duel between Asaji Ventress and Anakin Skywalker.
High Commander Vexen

yeah they are pretty good but if they where not animated it would be so much better
Lord Legacy

true

that is very true if they were live action it would be awesome
Darth Cruiciatus

they are making a 30 minute long 3-D Clone Wars tv series in 2007. Along with a Live-action hour long(I think It's an hour long, not sure.)TV Series that takes place between Episodes III and IV. And In 2008, GL is planning to release all 6 SW movies in 3-D. YAY!
Lord Legacy

cool

thats pretty wicked man thank for the news jedi
Darth Cruiciatus

you're welcome. I'm looking forward to it.
Lord Legacy

tv show

that live tv show is going to be so awesome
Emperor Shadow

Yeah. It's going to rock.
Lord Legacy

tv show

They should make like a star wars thing but from the sith point of view to show the world from the alternate angle
Darth Cruiciatus

actually, the whole series is told from C3PO and R2-D2's point of view. maybe on for Jedi, and one for Sith.
Darth Acheron

100 hours of live Star Wars, who can argue with that? Very Happy
Darth Cruiciatus

not me, I don't think anyone on the Sith and Jedi boards. Then there'll be 30 minutes each week for a 3-D Clone Wars, Which I think might have new battles.
High Commander Vexen

sweet
Lord Legacy

battle

what do u guys think is the best fight on the clone wars
High Commander Vexen

I like ajja vs dooku cause I love how dooku just blasts him with force lightning
Lord Legacy

battle

Yeah that one was good but i like asaji's battle with anakin because how he touched the dark side and used her red blade to strike her down, it was some major foreshadowing of what was to come in the future
Darth Cruiciatus

I liked the Battle of Mon Calamari because it has my favorite character, Kit fisto.
High Commander Vexen

no suprise there
Darth Acheron

I liked Mace's battle without his saber against the droid army. It shows us the true capabilities of the Force, even if it is a bit over-exagerated.
Lord Legacy

kit fisto

how does kit fisto's lightsaber work underwater
Darth Acheron

Because it is constantly turning on and off, therefore the water does not have time to affect the blade, yet it still works as a weapon.
Dork of Mordork

Everyone knows the battle on Coruscant with Shaak Ti was the best Razz
Darth Acheron

Yet, strangely enough, it is being rejected from continuituy. I wonder, perhaps it is not because it clashes with LoE that it is being dis-regarded, but because it features Shaak Ti so extensively. :p
Dork of Mordork

It's the best BECAUSE Shaak is in it.

And any battle with Shaak (mainly her Coruscant part because she was just flippin awesome in it) is my fave.
Darth Acheron

Lol, to bad it got cut, Very Happy.
Dork of Mordork

It didn't in the Clone Wars Razz
Lord Scourge

Hm, Dork, too bad the scene with her got cut from ROTS, hm?

Wouldn't you have love to see her get skewered on the big screen? Shocked

Anyhow, I'm actually more hesitant about the live action TV show than the cartoon - after all, with Clone Wars they've shown that they can do a good SW cartoon on TV, but the only TV shows I've seen in the SF/Fantasy genre that could live up to live action Star Wars (ie the movies) to me are Babylon 5 and the new Battlestar Galactica. If they produced a show that was along the lines of either Stargate or any Star Trek, I'd be so annoyed that they turned such a first-rate movie series into a second-rate TV series.

...not that it will stop me from watching every bit of it no matter what happens...

Darth Acheron

Yeah, for me, if its got a horrible plot, I just watch it, or read it, if its going to be counted as continuity, so I understand things that may come up in better written books.

Though of course, Black Fleet Crisis and Planet of Twilight were just to horrible... :p
Emperor Shadow

I forced myself through Black Fleet with ease.
Darth Acheron

Isn't that an oxymoron? Wink Forcing yourself through something at ease doesn't really make any sense to me. Very Happy
High Commander Vexen

yep why did you read that book if you knew it was bad
Darth Acheron

Me? I try to read every SW book, though some are just to hard, Very Happy.
High Commander Vexen

not just you for me I read about 150 pages and if it isn't good by then I don't read it
Darth Acheron

What happens if its a really bad book that has less then 150 pages?

If I'm not interested by the end of the second chapter, thats it for me.
Dork of Mordork

No, I wouldn't have. And lucky for me, it ISN'T canon. And the Anakin scene isn't either!
Darth Acheron

Which Anakin scene? The one where he kills her?

It would be cool if Shaak was in the tv series.
Dork of Mordork

Yes, that scene. No scene that has Shaak dying is canon. Even the scene in the book isn't canon. Trust me, I know.

And maybe she will be in it... that would be awesome Very Happy
Darth Acheron

What scene in the book? It implies Anakin goes after her, though it never says her fate.
Dork of Mordork

Well, someone said Anakin kills her in the book, but anything that has to do with Shaak dying is non-canon. GL hasn't stated her fate yet.

Maybe she'll be in last of the Jedi!!! *GASP*
Darth Acheron

Well, rtead the book again, the only thing that indicates Anakin killing Shaak is, and I quote:

Quote:
Anakin looked at him as though he wasn't sure who the Gate Master was. "Where is Shaak Ti?"

In the meditation chambers-we felt something happen in the Force, something aweful. She's searching the Force in deep meditation, trying to get some feel for whats going on..." - ROTS
And then it goes into Anakin killing the guy and going into the Temple, and Shaak is never mentioned again.
Dork of Mordork

I never read the book, so I wouldn't know, lol.

*Talks half to self, half to the person who said Anakin kills her in the book*

HA HA! I told ya so!!
Darth Acheron

Lol, yeah, Shaak's death is not canon in any source.
High Commander Vexen

in lego star wars it shows Anakin chop Shaak Ti into 3 pieces
Lord Scourge

Well, if she dies in any official source, then that's her death, of course - deleted and cut scenes don't count, the Lego movie doesn't count, sounds like the novel doesn't actually say she dies - does the comic have either of the cut scenes from the movie (either the filmed one or the unfilmed one?), like it has the cut scene of Quinlan Vos? That would be official, but I haven't carefully checked the comic version for that scene.

Personally, that was my favorite deleted scene on the ROTS DVD - not because I have anything against Shaak Ti in particular, just Jedi in general.... Twisted Evil

-Scourge
Dork of Mordork

...There's nothing canon about her death. Not even a comic. Nothing. Period.
High Commander Vexen

well then we will just have to see if she is in last of the Jedi and if she is she may die
Dork of Mordork

Hey, if she dies in Last of the Jedi, I'll be find with that. Just as long as she makes it in the book. And she doesn't get killed too easily. I at least want her to be in the book.
High Commander Vexen

though all sources of Shaak Ti diying are unoficial most people probably consider her dead
Darth Acheron

Well, I don't, Very Happy.
Dork of Mordork

Are all Jedi so fickle? Razz
Darth Acheron

Lol, thats gotta be a plus. Being called the coolest Sith ever by Dork of Mordork, Very Happy.
High Commander Vexen

yeah but it only means something if a Sith said it
like if I said if besides Nihilus,Malak and Revan you are the coolest sith then it would mean something
Darth Reaper

I like General Grievous the most in The Cone Wars. I also like the battle where the Clone Troopers attacked the City and when Durge died.
Darth Acheron

Durge didn't die in the cartoon. He died in a comic and that is in the TPB When they were Brothers.
Darth Reaper

I meant to put "died" but I forgot to do so.
