Discussion of: Work of an InquisitorThoughts?

Ummm, Tarna I dont know If this is a good idea making the Inquisitors work known to all. I think we should keep it within the order.

I won't post our secrets, just what we would do that people would know baout anyway.
Lord Angmar
It might be a good idea since our job is to spread fear to those who wold think about betraying the order, or commiting any crimes. Perhaps we can show them what happens if they do not remain loyal.

Now, that's seeing the glass half full.

Its good, but makes Tarna look a bit unproffesional in the way he speaks and acts...

Whoever implied that I was professional?

Well I liked it I thought it was very creative.

Tarna, you're an Inquisitor, and let you let on to everyone in the city who you are, and who you work for. Not very secret for an order trained in secrecy...

OOC it really doesn't matter what he posts because you can't take information you have OOC into IC RP. I believe it's called god-modding when you do.
Xander Vos
Um, this thread is OOC, so no need to say so.
And what are you talking about?????? Anything he posts in a FF about his character is canon for his character, how is that God-Modding???????
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Not once did I say who I worked for. I yelled that Empress Saber was coming, not to mention everyone ran away- not exactly in danger of someone seeing me.
Don't you worry your little head. I've got this figured out.
If any Inquisitors would like to post their adventures, you can use this.

Lord Angmar

Would anyone here be interested in seeing a public torture???
Sith Alchemist Kor
I know I would!

Lord Angmar

Good Kor you can assist me in the extraction of a confession from an Admiral plotting treasonous acts. I'll give you the tools and instructions, while you get to torture him. Sound good??

I wasn't saying my response is OOC, it is apart of my sentence. And he said his fan fiction is a personal blog almost. To give an ooc insider's view. So you are just seeing an entry in a blog that he keeps IC. So it's IC yeah, but us reading it we still have to read it from an OOC perspective. So that means we can't take that IC.

Sith Alchemist Kor

He does have a point.

To a degree, whatever an author writes for their character is of canonical value unless it interferes with accepted timelines.

I know... I never said we could.
Marquis O'Dore
You pretty much insinuated it...
Xander Vos
No I didn't... I said he comes across as unprofessional in the story by drawing attention to himself when he is meant to be a spy. I fail to see how any of that insinuates that I may use that IC against him...

I think it's too short

Him writing a journal entry does not make him unprofessional. Many people have written entries that people never saw. And this, I am assuming, was meant to be a journal entry IC that no one will ever see IC. It's just an ooc view of the ic world. You are saying it makes tarna look unprofessional but that's an ooc judgement based off of what? That he keeps a journal? I'd hate to see the world if some people did not keep entries of what has happened in their lives.
Plus, everyone OOC knows he's a spy, so it doesn't matter now does it? Unless you mean IC no one knows he's a spy, by which I repeat my point: you cannot take this ooc information ic.
Xander Vos
I was saying the way he was BEHAVING in the story was unproffesional, not the fact that he was writing it. Lol, now I know why you're thinking what you are. At first I was like "Wtf?" but now I get you.
IC no one knows he is a spy, and I'm not taking OOC information IC. The fact that in his entry he runs down a main street shouting after a Jedi and announcing Empress Saber's presence, and the way he speaks comes across to me as unproffesional. Now, Tarna replied by saying who said he was proffesional? I assumed that because he was highly ranked in the Inquisitors that that would pretty much imply it.
Marquis O'Dore
Miscommunication then, I really didn't read his journal entry but went off what he said and what you said. I thought you meant that him posting it was unprofessional of him and not his actions are unprofessional.
Xander Vos
Oh no no no. I meant the way he acted WITHIN the story. Miscommunication is the darndest thing.
No hard feelings.

1) How do people know he's a Jedi? If you look at most poor citizens, their robes are extremely similiar to that of a Jedi's.
2) Once again, I was not in danger because everyone knows Saber will open a can of woop-a** on them.
Xander Vos
1) Well you certainly seem to leap to the conclusion that he is, why can't they? A person representing the Sith chasing a person who may be a Jedi down kind of suggests that he is in fact a Jedi.
2) But still... I thought the whole point of the Inquisitors was to act as spies, and spies rarely if at all reveal themselves for who they are. Yes, granted, you merely announce the presence of Saber, but its very unproffesional to shout out your commanders name just to part a croud, when the disadvantages are far worse than the advantages.

This answers both questions:
Who the heck is going to stay around and watch? People know the the Sith and Jedi have been at each other's throats since the second schism. A Sith chasing a Jedi is like hearing about a murder on the news. It happens every day. It's like seeing a police car driving down a city street. No one gets excited and wants to follow. They just roll their eyes, mumble about today's crime-infested world, and move on with their lives.
Xander Vos
Not really... Hundreds of worlds never even knew of the existance of Sith or Jedi, let alone met any in their lives. at the peak, the Jedi order numbered 10,000, a minute number of beings. Seing one would be like seing a celebrity. Seeing a Sith and Jedi fight would be the cause of wide-spread panic.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Well, this is Boz Pity. They're not exactly like Lehon. They know what's going on.
Xander Vos
Oh really? I doubt there's a single world in the Galaxy where they commonly notice the Galaxy's two most notorious organisations fighting and take it as common. And considering how powerful the Jedi and Sith are, even if it was normal, they'd be running, not rolling their eyes. And that's on a common planet, Boz Pity, an Outer Rim World ain't exactly common...

Xander; my story, my descisions. Tarna does things in his style, not the "usual" way.
Xander Vos

I never said he couldn't, and I never said you couldn't. I was raising objections. If you stubbornly don't want to listen to them, fine, I really don't care and never did.

I have to say, for someone who "didn't care", you seemed to have raised quite an arguement.

Meh, I made a point, you didn't understand what I was saying, I elaborated, you got heated, I walked away.
