Filled with anger he blasted his brother back with a powerful force wave hurling him into a wall and breaking his neck. The terrified Fien ran away and rode a transport ship to a planet called Nelvann. After a few months of living there alone an Ex-Jedi found young Fien with the force, eager to bring out the dark side of the force within him. The Ex-Jedi was an apprentice of a dark lord, and was kicked out of the Jedi order because of this. He trained Fien untill the age of 15, teaching him lightsaber forms, techniques and ways of the sith. Then he mysteriously vanished one night after claiming that there was no more that he could teach Fien. He left a bag containing parts for a lightsaber and equipment. When Fien finally constructed the lightsaber, it was the greatest thing he had ever owned. Fien was a lone warrior for about three years doing jobs that anybody could pay for after the dissapearance of his master. He got information, and skill as well as credits over the years. Fien learned that there were sith lords still alive and hopes that he could be trained by one. After three years of traveling, Fien had come by an abandoned starfighter and inspected the ship, it was fully operational and he took it without a second thought. Fien plotted a course to Iridonia to visit his people once more before he set out for his training. {I'll add more to it when i completely finish the story line.} |

Doesn't matter. My character was a Jedi beforehand and was only proficient in one Form, which is much more realistic. |

Managing that many kind of lightsaber forms at such an early stage is highly unlikely. There were not many Jedi that were skilled in many forms of combat, most of them learned one and mastered it and were familiar with the rest but never masters. The Jedi had few jedi battlemasters during the height of the Republic, most of which were highly skilled Jedi that had been around for quite some time. When developing your character, think realistically, you don't have the time to have mastered all those lightsaber forms even if you were being trained. I just dont see how a 20 year old whose training ended at the age of 15 could of mastered such forms. Lightsaber forms aren't just thinks you learn in a day, they require years of experience behind the belt. Not even Prognie or Magisto can say they are masters of many lightsaber forms. | ||

And for the record, both Magisto and Prognie are easily in the top five lightsaber combatants in the entire Sith Order. | ||

Prognie is? I wrote him in a battle with Praxeum but portrayed Prognie as lesser in terms of lightsaber combat due to his blindness.
Of course he can sight with the Force like Traya but I wouldn't think he was up to the same abilities of lightsaber combat as the other high ranking Sith. |

Well, because I'm a nerd with a constant need to assimilate and order information and too much time on my hands, I made a top 19 (the amount of active Darths at the time) lightsaber combatants and Force-users, based on bios, RPs, duels and even OOC comments about the characters. They were on my laptop, which was dropped out of a window recently and subsequently destroyed and I can't remember the entirety of either list but I know that Prognie was 3rd most powerful lightsaber combatant after Shadow and Praxeum, and Magisto was 5th, just after Prognie and Tarna. | ||

Though I'd like to know how Magisto is in the top since he hasn't dueled, or even used a lightsaber in any RP. And Prognie hasn't dueled that frequently either. If anything, I'd say that Prognie portrays himself as more of a Force user, and less skilled in the lightsaber. |

Besides, Magisto is quite new OOCly and could easily be a Battlemaster, you are not High Historian, you are not privy to such information. In both lists, there are two, Prognie is no.3 on the list for saber prowess and for the force. However, as a Staff Member, I am asking that the discussion be ended now. It's not related to Fien'Dur. However, for my piece, I agree with the majority, Fien, you could not know that many saber forms. I am a Sith Lord and I've not mastered all of them yet. |

But i'm going to keep it the way it is until Marix changes the rankings of lightsaber combat. Master should be the highest level of lightsaber combat that could be acheived, not Expert. I suggest to be a little more thoughtful on ranks. And i doubt i'm the only one who objects to this. I will start a new discussion topic in the Cantina about this, feel free to voice your opinion on the matter. |

Marix doesn't set the the rankings of lightsaber combat and it's Aequitas's job to point out inconsistencies in Character Profiles. No one agrees that the lightsaber combat ratings should be changed and no one agrees that you could possible be as skilled in lightsaber combat as you are given that you are still an apprentice.
For god's sake, Fien, you have your skill in Shii Cho listed as being higher than Marix and most of your others on-par with Tarna, Vexen, Ducki, Praxeum, Aequitas, Adenn, Gra'tua, Serratus and Crozeus. Basically, according to you, you're skill level is equal or greater than almost every member of my Aequitas-approved top 15 lightsaber combatants. |

Venedictos is right, I am not in charge of the system. I merely created one for my bio and others have used it in their own. One can master a form, meaning that they can use it well, but it does not make them the best in the form. I made more options because that way I'd have distinction instead of being the same in all my forms. You do put yourself at a skill level higher than several Lords, which as an Apprentice is not possible. Maybe better than a Master, but even that is stretching the imagination a bit. |

The dictionary definition shouldn't pertain to skills. I mean, i can be an Elite at guitar playing, but master is still a higher rank, like Mick Thompson or Dan Donegan who are professionals at the skill.
There are plenty other examples that would defend my opinion in the matter. |
