Bio: Gabriel was born Kreth'ik Anor, son of Nom Anor. Though he is unaware of his beginnings. He only knows of the blind former Galactic Senator that raised him. He does not know of his working class mother, or even that he is Yuuzhan Vong. Because he was abandoned at such an early age he never went through the self-mutilation that is common practice among Yuuzhan Vong. He believes himself to be human. The truth is that because of his mother's social standing, his father knew he would not be accepted by his peers and left his son with the mark of an exile. He murdered Gabriel's mother and left his son for dead.
Fortunately, a man known simply by the name of Jetto stumbled across the abandoned Yuuzhan Vong military outpost and was drawn to the cries of an infant. He took the child on as his own, as his son was slain in war a few years earlier. Since the child had no known name, Jetto named him Gabriel (he later took on the name Bane, paying homage to Darth Bane, a man he held in high esteem).
He knew there was something different about this child. He could feel that his appearance was not that of a normal human child so he traveled to the distant planet of Ambria where he knew of a healer. This healer took one look at Gabriel and knew he was something not of this galaxy. He created a life-like mask that mirrored a human face. It was a living organism that attached itself to Gabriel's face and grew as he grew. Jetto never told Gabriel he wasn't human, but told him never to remove the mask as he wouldn't survive. An obvious lie to save the child from ridicule.
He believed it was very important for Gabriel to expand his knowledge in all aspects. He traveled much of the Galaxy and taught him everything he knew. With his knowledge of politics and experiences on several worlds, he molded Gabriel into a highly intelligent young man. Though he saw traces of something wild inside of Gabriel, he tried to convince him that peace was the best solution in any situation.
When Gabriel was 14 his father, as he had come to know him, fell ill and passed away. Having no one else in his life, Gabriel spent the next few years roaming the galaxy, trying desparately to discover his past. He searched much of the Outer Rim and even traveled into the Unknown Regions, finally reaching Wild Space, where he turned back. He eventually gave up hope and took a job as a rogue bounty hunter, again finding himself reaching the far corners of the Known Galaxy. Finally, fed up with the inferiority of his surroundings, and knowing the history of the Sith, he ventured to Koribban, Ziost, and finally stumbled upon real power. Now he seeks to soak up the knowledge of the Dark Side in hopes of achieving True Greatness and possibly one day, realizing his unlimited potential.

Thank you Sith Master Marix.

Impressive. Welcome aboard and keep up the amazing work.

Outstanding. Keep up the good work.

I thought the Yuuzhan Vong couldn't use the Force? Unless he was born after about 40 ABY...
But then Nom Anor couldn't be his father...
If he was born when Nom Anor was still alive, that would have been before the YV War, meaning he would not be able to use the Force, as only YV born after the end of the War could use the Force.
Darth Barad-Dur
They couldn't. The force left them when they started mutulating themselves and wiping out whole races.
Emperor Shadow
There are a select few Vong who could use the Force. There are cases of in other species, individuals lack the capacity to be sensed/use the Force. The normalcy of the universe pre-Yuuzhan Vong with one of a trillion being without was polarized by the Vong having on in a trillion with the Force.
Darth Acheron
I'm not entirely sure that's the way it worked... The Yuuzhan Vong as a species couldn't use, or be sensed in the Force, due to their home world stripping them of it.
In the GFFA, even beings who couldn't use the Force (And it was a lot more than one in a trillion) could still be sensed in it. They were still connected to the Force, as every life form in the GFFA was.
In 30 ABY, Zonama Sekot re-connected the YV to the Force, and all YV born after the event were able to use the Force, or at the very least, be sensed in it.
Brigadier General Matas
He's right, except I still don't think they could be sensed through the force because Cade skywalker didn't sense them when he encountered them on Ossus.
Emperor Shadow
It's the premise of one in million; and yes I know there are more than a trillion. The extraordinary feat for the YV that was denied for so long manifesting in a single being isn't that farfetched [i.e., Omini].
Darth Acheron
Do we have an explanation on Omni yet? That kind of just trailed off...
Emperor Shadow
He was the proverbial one in the million.
Darth Acheron
Odd, I would have thought the one in a million/billion/trillion would only be sensed in the Force, as that in itself would be extraordinary for the YV.
Emperor Shadow
Yes, that's the explanation though.

| Quote: | | Do we have an explanation on Omni yet? |
Onimi achieved his Force connection through the Shaper arts. He grafted yammosk material into his own body. I'm not sure if it was the experiment that "shamed" him, but it was one of his last. After that point he started controlling Shimrra like a puppet, and the rest is history.
However, there was a RP peice that involved a Dark Jedi who was Yuuzhan Vong. I'm not sure if anyone ever covered her backstory, though, as she lacks even a proper name.

Emperor Shadow

... I defer to my colleague.
Upon reflection and rereading portions of Unifying Force, he's right.

Wow, I really need to re-read that book.

ClarificationOnce again I find myself in the midst of quarrel. Something that has found it's way to me throughout my travels, better yet, throughout my life. As I was raised human, throughout the Outer Rim and beyond, I know nothing of Yuuzhan Vong lacking to ability to control the force. I simply know the abilities I now possess and also that my potential has not been fully realized by any means. I have much respect for the knowledge of the Powerful beings included in this conversation and I am greatly humbled to have attracted even the Emperor himself. I consider the Emperor simply breathing my name, an accomplishment on it's own, as, when all is said and done, I am here to serve Him.
(OOC) I thought Nom Anor was only believed to be dead. They never officially declared him dead after the ship was destroyed, following his battle with Leia.
Brigadier General Matas
Even if you were raised human or Yuuzhan vong that still doesn't change the fact of your species' lack of force sensitivity, just saying although it's your character and you can make him like that.
Actually he wouldn't really look human since even if they are described as kind of human, there would still be major differences. Even without the shaping and scarring, your character would still be huge, will posses non-human attributes, and will really enjoy pain or you will feel it more easily since the Yuuzhan Vong's skin is more sensitive to pain than any other species and even if you were raised human, your character would still perhaps enjoy pain.
Emperor Shadow
Matas, we established how it happened. No need to beat the dead bantha.
Darth Acheron
Anor is dead. Even YV can't survive being sucked out of a ship into space.
Isaah
Sorry to barge in.. but if it didn't specifically say that he died.. then there's still a chance, however miniscule, that he's still alive.
Darth Acheron
Character's who are sucked out of a ship into space don't need a paragraph saying their dead. No species, not even the Vong can survive in space.

In response(OOC) Brigadier General Matas, because he was raised by a blind man the physical differences between himself and humans went unnoticed and having never settled in one place for long, no real questions were asked. Gabriel never had a chance to have much social contact with humans for him to notice the physical differences himself. He is large as you said, standing well over 6'. The enjoyment of pain is something that is still new to him. Dreams, that may not be dreams at all, include his delight in other's pain.
Beyond all of this, I hope no one has a real problem with my profile. I'm simply here to have fun so.... if there are no real wrongs done, I hope we can continue.

Darth Acheron

((This is an OOC forum, no need to do that))
Just being raised by someone does not change your physical characteristics, rather it would make them more prominent, as you are not being raised by your own species.
Adopted white children by black parents don't go black over time.
Brigadier General Matas
Yes but your character will never be confused for a human unless he is wearing an ooglith masquer. I say this because all Yuuzhan Vong even without their ritual implants and scarring are large like you have it, they are more built even if they are not of the warrior caste or anything, all have sloaping ridge-like foreheads, many have pointed ears, they all had short stub-like noses even the ones who hadn't had their noses broken, they had sacks under their eyes which it is most likely a genetic trait which could expand depending on their moods. I'm saying this because it would be physically impossible for your character to be confused for a human. Perhaps a Near-Human such as the Pau'an are near-human but not human. I understand he didn't have much social contact with humans but that still doesn't change the fact he has many non-human characteristics which would set him apart immediatly in a crowd. I'm just saying to get your character correctly.
About the pain thing, it shouldn't be new to him, he should be used to it by now since the pain is not something that a Yuuzhan Vong learns, it's embedded into their genetic code. By pain I mean physical pain not mental pain or emotional pain. He would enjoy getting hurt and having scars and having his bones broken. It would feel good to him.
Darth Malice
I understand all of thisThis is all already understood by me. He was raised by a BLIND man, not just a man. And he wasn't raised among many humans. Especially none that he befriended, therefore, I find it hard to believe that a human stranger would come up to him and say "Hey, do you know you're not human?" Am I right? The sloping forehead is the reason he has the long hair now. The pointed ears are not a species-wide occurence. Some have them, some don't. I realize the picture I have is human in appearance, as pictures aren't always easy to come by. Work with me here people.
UPDATE:
I have updated my profile in hopes to clear up all of this. If you go back and re-read my profile I believe all should be settled. Or at least I hope so.
Darth Acheron
You gave me the impression you were implying that since he was raised by a human, he looked human.
Darth Malice
initiallyThat was what I was thinking initially and as I, and I guess several others, started to see that this may not be possible. That's why I added the mask to my profile.
Brigadier General Matas
It's much better, but my character is going to unmask you and reveal your true Yuuzhan Vong looking face
Darth Malice
Yuuzhan Vong look-alikeHaha-very good. Actually, I was thinking it would be pretty cool to unveil my character's true appearance once he takes his Darth title. To him, it's kind of a safety net; the last thing holding him back to his own weakness.
Brigadier General Matas
And once your character does that, he should start learning more about his culture and start using organic weapons
Darth Malice
YesPrecisely!
Darth Malice
I added some pictures for reference and made a couple changes.
Darth Malice
Edited.

Darth Rachk
awsome choice of ships, but Personaly I would still keep something small just incase.
Darth Malice
[Thanks. Malice is a Lieutenant Commander in the Imperial Navy, therefore he has no lack of choice when it comes to ships. This is just his own personal craft.]
Supreme Commander Alor
[Abusing your power, eh Malice? I should demote you for that... ]
Darth Malice
[What's the fun in having some rank if you can't flex your military "muscles" every now and then?]
Supreme Commander Alor
[[Then I'll just have to add in my own ships... Who wants to ride in my Death Star?]]
Darth Malice
I didn't think my selection was that unreal?? I guess if it's too much to ask.......
