Gabriel BaneLet us continue your training here.

"I am ready, my Master." Gabriel kneeled before his newly appointed Master.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
This is still ooc, so no need for formalities.
I just have a quick question, is gabriel going to focus solely on being a fighter in the military or is he less of a fighter and more of a tactician?
Darth Malice
((I thought, because of the immense size and power he already has, his fighting is relatively efficient, however, this is his first formal encounter with the Force. I thought, because of Prognie's knowledge of the Force, he could help Gabriel in this area immensely. I believe it to be in Gabriel's best interest to be unequalled in as many aspects as possible. When he requires further training with a lightsaber (which he doesn't even own at this point) and physical combat, he could receive further training from a Master of that discipline. Let me know what you think.))
To officially answer your question; Gabriel will be more physical by choice, definitely a physically intimidating presence, but like I said, I would like his Force powers to be just as powerful or possible even more so.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
well, the thing is i am going to train you in the aspects most strongest, perhaps dabble a bit in the force but beyond that it is up to you to find that path because it's unfair to make your character greater than everyone else.
And my question was more in terms of when he joins the military, will he be a part of the front lines or will he be behind the scenes coming up with battle plans? To be in the military one doesn't always have to restrict themselves to just fighting.
Darth Malice
That's very true. My plan is to be in the midst of the fighting with hopes of eventually becoming a General or greater.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Okay, then let us start off with a quick sparring match to see your abilities.
---Ic begins after this---
Jinko stood in a small sparring arena, his cane nestling in front of him. His eyes concealed by a bandanna and his body hidden from sight by his robes. His head was facing the floor, as if awaiting something to spring up from the ground. His apprentice was going to be the first to make the move, and Jinko would respond.
Darth Malice
((I'm also in a duel in the dojo. Am I allowed to compete in two at the same time?))
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
(( this is for training purposes so yes, it is fine. ))
Darth Malice
Gabriel observed his new Master's stance. He knew he could not underestimate him, and by the way Darth Prognie was posed, that exactly what he wanted him to do. Because of Prognie's lack of physical site, he was sure many in the past, who were not so wise, tried to take advantage of this "handicap". If you could call it that.
Gabriel knew Darth Prognie's Force abilities were far superior to his own and wasn't about to simply walk up to his waiting Master. Instead he removed a small dagger from within his cloak and swiftly threw it towards Prognie's chest. This was a test and Gabriel knew it would be passed easily, but he tried none-the-less.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Jinko was unamused by his apprentice's antics, he would have to teach him that respect later though. Though man's dagger flew at him but stopped immediately before it hit his chest. Lifting his left hand from his cane he grabbed the dagger, his right hand rose from his cane as well leaving it to be held up simply by Jinko's will alone. Examining the small blade he then hurled it at a nearby wall embedding its blade there. "This is your training, do not test me." Placing his hands back on his erect cane he stood waiting for Gabriel to summon the courage to attack him.
Darth Malice
Gabriel was not suprised by his Master's knowledge of his surroundings. He summoned all of his strength and in one swift motion, sprung into the air. Unsheathing his saber in midair, he began his decent onto his still motionless Master. He brought his blade directly overhead, both hands gripped firmly on the leather-bound handle.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Jinko was not surprised, most attackers felt that if they attacked Jinko from the air he would be caught by some surprise that would leave him open. But he was far more prepared than they thought, moving away with blinding speed he kicked his cane forward and from it shot out a red blade. With his right hand still attached to the cane he moved his cane around and pointed it at Gabriel. "Do not make the same mistake twice, you're underestimating me Gabriel. Fight as if your life were on the line."
Jinko stood, his head in Gabriel's direction as if he could see him but that was obviously out of the quesiton. Jinko's blade was not set to do any serious damage, but he wanted Gabriel to fight as if it would.
Darth Malice
Gabriel crashed down to the ground and landed heavily on his feet. He once again turned towards Prognie. "I have no fear of death and if my life were to be threatened I know no other way of fighting. All or nothing, my Master." He was rattled a little. He did not think he was underestimating his Master, he simply was not as experienced in actual combat. The few bounties he had collected either gave up quickly or did not put up much of a fight.
As he stood in front of Prognie he did his best to summon up the feeling he had felt only a few times before. The same heat that engulfed his body in the past simply was not there. He couldn't gain any control of it and this was frustrating him and was ultimately the wall that stood between himself and unleashing his full potential.
He once again poised himself for another attack. This time, however, he would simply fight, avoiding the acrobatic moves, or hidden attacks. He walked straight towards his waiting Master and drew his saber to the side with both hands. He slashed at his Master's right shoulder, which he immediately followed with a swift knee towards the outside of his left thigh.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Twirling his lightsaber in the air Jinko positioned his cane to parry the attack to his right. With his free left hand he stuck it down and released a small but powerful enough force of energy to knock back Gabriel's incoming knee. With his front open, Jinko then quickly moved his left elbow straight into his jaw.
With the force as his strength, he pushed Gabriel's lightsaber away from his and and brought his own blade to his left side.
Darth Malice
As Gabriel's strikes again, came up empty, his frustration grew. When his Master's elbow caught his jaw he flexed his chin, feeling his skin part and the heat of the blood trickle down as it exited the wound. He relished in the pain that shot to his head and looked past the cloth that covered Prognie's eyes.
"You seem invincible against my attacks." He smiled to himself. "Your rank seems unfit for you Power, my Master." He walked slowly to the left, keeping his eyes on the "blind" Sith that stood before him.

[[Sorry for the double-post, but I'm still catching up on the past weeks action]]
"My apologies Master. I have just learned of your promotion to Supreme Prophet. Congratulations! I am humbled in your presence." Gabriel went down to one knee, before rising back to his feet and once again unsheathing his blade.
"It is an honor to be your apprentice and I pledge myself to your knowledge and teachings."
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
(( We'll just ignore the second post because technically at this point Jinko is still just an acolyte during this training session. But thank you anyway. ))
Jinko moved back, expanding the distance between himself and Gabriel. Looking at him in his own way, he turned his lightsaber cane off and then took a few steps forward. "So if you cannot beat an opponent who is expecting your moves then what do you recommend you do to counter my attacks?" Jinko circled around around Gabriel as he waited for his answer.
Darth Malice
Gabriel stopped in his place, trying to come up with an answer. He hated to hesitate, thinking his Master may think less of him. When an answer could not be found he chose honesty rather than ignorance.
"I must apologize my Master, for an answer to your question evades me." He clenched his fists in anger of not coming up with a proper response. In the past Gabriel had prided himself on his knowledge of all things. Now he realized that there were many here who's knowledge he couldn't even dream of.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
"You accept failure, that is not a good thing Gabriel. Do not accept your answer as such, because as a man of the military you cannot fail." Jinko continued circling around Gabriel, hoping to make him uneasy. The feeling of expecting something but not knowing what. "Your answer is sufficient, there is no real way to beat an enemy who you cannot anticipate. But there in lies your own advantage. If you adapt, they'll change on you and make you expect the unexpected. But if you change, if you move with them with different blows, changing your fighting style to match theirs, then well, you'll return the feeling."
When Jinko was behind Gabriel he stopped, with the tip of the bottom of his cane he hit the back of Gabriel's right leg bringing him down to his knee. Moving the tip of the can to the side of Gabriel's head he held its place there, "And with that, never let a blind man enthrall you with words." Jinko moved away from Gabriel and out of the chamber, motioning for him to follow behind.

Gabriel rose to his feet and sheathed his blade, slowly walking in the direction his Master had exited. He knew in the beginning he would not be able to match the Power of his Master, but he had hoped he would have done better than he did. In a way, he felt like Prognie was right, he had felt like he failed. He hoped this training, in the end, would prevent him from ever having to feel the overwhelming sensation of failure ever again.
He caught up to Master Prognie just outside of the room they had exited. "Master, how can I gain control of the Dark Side within me?" He walked side by side with him now. "I've never been able to gain complete control and that, I feel, is my undoing." He looked straight forward, without emotion.

Jinko kept a steady pace, not for Gabriel's sake but for his own. Using his cane to navigate around he was tapping the floor, allowing for vibrations to be sent out through the force and to return to him. The time it took for a wave to bounce back and return to him told him if something was in front of him. Also the force itself allowed his senses to be aware of everything around him.
Gabriel like every sith was concerned with his power, controlling the darkside. Continuing towards the simulation room Jinko lead him down different corridors. "The dark side gives us our strength, but only the wisest realize that the dark side is merely a factor in ones strength. To truly become powerful, to truly be known you must realize that the force is a neutral entity and the user itself is what defines it." Arriving in front of a medium sized door Jinko stepped through the opening and left Gabriel to ponder it before moving on to the next task at hand.
Darth Malice
Gabriel stood at the door only a moment before ducking his head somewhat and entering. He had never really thought about it like that. He knew every Sith would eventually be a Force user in some respect and that the Force itself would not set apart himself from his peers. That.....was up to him.
He slowed and let his eyes readjust to the chamber they now stood in. Gabriel searched it in it's entirety, making sure he knew everything about it. He had a tendency to always survey his surroundings, a trait that he found very helpful. Once he had an understanding of where he was he continued on with his Master.

Upon entering the room a droid came over to Jinko, giving the droid a few instructions he went over to the terminal and began to enter a few things into it. Jinko couldn't see, but if it was as he told it to then soon enough it would all appear in the room.
Turning over to Gabriel he pointed to the center of the room, "Now Gabriel, we shall see how prepared you are for the military." he couldn't see the center but what he told the droid to bring up was a simulation of a battle that Gabriel was going to direct. "You should see two sides, our lovely Empire and a small rebel force above the planet of Naboo. The rebels have a small fleet of about 15 Capital ships, 100 frigates, and many fighters. The Empire, it has deployed 25 Capital Ships, 140 Frigates, and many fighters to defeat these foes. It is your job to take control of the Empire's fleet and lead it into a victory. Use every ship or use only two, it is up to you how you defeat this fleet." Jinko said as he stood back, he would be listening to Gabriel's orders, and the droid would be relaying to him what was going on in the simulation. "You should start now, I am assuming the rebel forces are not going to wait. Choose to hyperspace the entire fleet in or some of it, choose wisely." Jinko stepped away from the center, the room was large enough to hold the simulation, and all over there were rebel ships but the Empire's were still waiting to be hyperspaced in by Gabriel's orders."
Darth Malice
"As you wish, my Master." Gabriel stepped up to the center of the room where he could see everything that was happening. Though he desired to be among ground forces, he would do his best to achieve victory for the Empire in this simulation.
He studied the rebel forces. Regardless of the overwhelming numbers the Empire's fleet possessed Gabriel knew, if this was a simulation of real life, that the Empire also possessed much superior spacecraft.
He ordered the hyperspace of all fighters, 120 frigates, and 21 capital ships to create a triangle around the rebel forces. The fighters were sent directly to the conflict, 40 frigates were sent to each of the 3 corners along with 7 capital ships to each corner. He sent the remaining 20 frigates and 5 capital ships to form a net far behind but in between the gaps in the triangle. These were in place to pick off any rebel forces that tried to either escape, or make their way past the initial Imperial blockade.
Now they would slowly constrict the rebel forces. The fighters were too maneuverable for the rebel capital ships to pinpoint, yet they couldn't afford to look past the Imperial fighters and attack our own capital ships, thus having to keep their sights on the iminent threat of the fighters. Now our Capital ships could concentrate all of their power on the rebel capital ships as well as the rebel frigates without giving much worry to the rebel capital ships. At the same time our frigates would also be combatting the rebel frigates, which we already have outnumbered. Once the rebel capital ships and frigates were handicapped the fighters would be all to easy to erase from the battlefield.

Jinko was receiving reports on the battle simulation from the droid. Tapping his chin with his open hand he smiled, so his apprentice had ideas. Turning to the droid he whispered a few things in his ear, the droid turned around and entered a few things into the computer.
Nothing changed in the simulation itself, but now the rebels ships had managed to hyperspace out of the way of the ships. Space was a 3D area so unless there was a cover on all sides they could manage to get through. The rebels had lost a few frigates and a capital ship in the process but it was a sacrifice especially when they still had the heart to continue.
The rebel fleet regrouped and came back in, this time they took a new formation. Positioning themselves beneath the Empire's fleet they began to attack the bellies of the Empire's fleet. Jinko stood awaiting the change to impact his apprentice. There was a reason there were no interdictors, it left for many surprises.
Darth Malice
Even though he was somewhat suprised by the bold maneuver from the Rebel Alliance, he didn't hesitate in giving the next orders. The mistake that the Rebels made was an obvious one. Regardless of whether it's air to air combat, ground combat, or air to ground combat, coming down on your enemy was much more advantageous than coming up beneath. The numbers of the rebel fleet had been deteriorated, if only by a few. Now the numbers were in the favor of the Imperial fleet even more so.
He ordered the decent of all fighters, all frigates, and 15 of the 25 capital ships. The initial wave would be all fighters, 50 frigates, and 5 capital ships. The second wave would be 50 frigates, and 5 capital ships. The final wave would be 40 frigates and 5 capital ships. These waves would lessen the Rebel numbers further, while also drawing their fire. This would allow the largest of the Imperial capital ships, the 10 that had been gathering their power, to unleash their most deadly weapons upon each of the Rebel capital ships.........the Superlaser, a weapon that would vaporize the largest of rebel ships.
Gabriel crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows as he observed his plan going into motion. He was slightly suprised at how easily his moves were coming to him. It was almost as if the situation had awakened something inside of him and he could feel the heat returning to his body.

Jinko turned to the droid who relayed the information to him about the battle that progressed. Satisfied with this battle he told the droid to changed the simulation. The droid walked off and began to imput a few things, before Gabriel could finish the simulation it disappeared into nothing.
What replaced the simulation was Coruscant, what appeared above it was a massive Imperial fleet consisting of: 125 Imperial Star Destroyers, 70 Star Destroyers, 90 Acclamator II-Class Assault Ships, 40 Tartan patrol ships, and a mixture of tie fighters, tie interceptors, tie defenders, and tie phantoms. Four interdictors formed a diamond around the planet, defended by capital ships, tartan patrol cruisers, and many star fighters.
In the distance was a large rebel fleet. Consisting of 115 Mon Calamari Cruisers, 80 Assault Frigates, 80 Nebulon-B Frigates, 50 MC30c Frigates, 30 Corellian Corvettes, and 30 Corellian gunships. There was a mixture of x-wings, b-wings, a-wings, and y-wings.
jinko moved away from the droid again and turned his attention to Gabriel, "You will be playing the side of the rebels. Once you moved the fleet into battle the interdictors will not allow them to leave. So let us see how you fare against the fire power of the Empire." Jinko stood back near the droid who was observing for Jinko.

Gabriel studied the formations of the Imperial battlefront and then looked back towards the Rebels he would command. The numbers and firepower were overwhelmingly in the favor of the Empire so he would either have to use some sort of strategic trickery or a whole different strategy.
Within moments he stepped once again to the center of the battle. He ordered his entire fleet to enter the Imperial airspace. The odds of his own victory weren't great, but he would accept death before failure. As the strategies raced around his mind, he subconsciously locked onto one of a more brutal nature.
He ordered a number of his own fighters, including X-wings, Y-wings, A-wings, and others of the sort, to do anything necessary to bring down the larger ships shields (Imperial Star Destroyers and Star Destroyers). He could feel himself overtaking the minds of the pilots flying through the force. Once he had complete control he continued in targeting the generators with the ships themselves. Using them as kamikaze-type weapons. He knew the maneuverability of the fighters were the only advantage he had against the large Imperial ships. He would continue sending wave after wave of fighters until this task was accomplished.
He then ordered his frigate-class ships (Assaults, Nebulon-B, and MC30c) to follow in suit and concentrate their firepower on the large capital ships of the Empire once their shields were disabled. Something that he may have been counting on too greatly. He would have no chance in this battle if they didn't take out a great number of the larger ships.
Next, he focused on the Imperial frigates (Acclamators and Tartans). He ordered his Mon Calamari Cruisers to target these ships. The severity of firepower that the cruisers were capable of would slice straight through any of the smaller ships shields. They wouldn't stand any chance against his cruisers.
Lastly, with the larger of the Imperial ships either useless or severely handicapped he could pick them off one by one along with the remaining Imperial fighters.
This is how he invisioned the battle. When his mind returned to the present he watched as the droid took in all of his information. He then waited, emotionless, as the droid input the instructions.

After jinko had seen enough, he turned to the droid and had him turn the simulation off. Facing Gabriel he stepped forward with his cane, his attention on the area where he knew Gabriel to be.
"You have done well so far Gabriel, you are impressive and hold much to offer." Stopping a few feet away from him he placed his cane in front of himself and held it there with his left hand. "The stages of ones growth comes from being taught but some of the most important of our knowledge comes from experience. So let us give you your experience." Raising his hand up, the tips of his fingers pointing at his apprentice, small sparks of electricity began to bounce around his hand, never touching the skin as if deflected away by some force field. The sparks grew in size and quickly shot out form his tips towards Gabriel. "Though you are a warrior, you should know what the force offers and its strength. Lets see what we can teach you with this." Without stopping he continued his attack upon Gabriel. All of it was a learning experience.
Darth Malice
Gabriel's body twisted and convulsed in ways he had never experienced. He felt powerless against his Master's attack, and he knew, somehow, that was the point.
As he lay on the ground, he drank in the pain that coursed through his body. He could feel his bones shaking and smell his flesh burning. It was like nothing he had ever known.
When his eyes rolled to the back of his head, he stopped fighting the overwhelming strength that shot through him. He surrendered himself to the will of this Dark Force. Not as if surrendering to an opponent, but rather to the lesson that was being taught. He now understood the Power that could be obtained through mastering the Dark Side of the Force.
When he felt his body wavering on the brink of unconsciousness, something kept him coherent, awake to everything around him. It was almost an out of body experience, only he could feel every part of his body in agony.......and in a way, he craved more.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Jinko stopped, he couldn't see the pain he inflicted but he could feel it. No longer interested in torture he stepped towards Gabriel and knelt down. unable to look his apprentice in the eye his face was expressionless as he was beside him, "Do you understand now some of the power behind the force? Could you accept that the force, though by the imagination of man is limitless, could possibly be limitless without the boundaries of man? If the force is within all things, could we not in theory manipulate all things as we manipulate the force so easily in us?"
Darth Malice
Gabriel listened intently as his Master spoke. What he said seemed to open up his own thoughts on the Force. If it was true, that the Force was in everything, than if one truly mastered the Force, they would have the Power to do anything.
He struggled to collect enough breath to speak. "Master, I now see the true Power of the Dark Side." That, he felt, was the purpose of this lesson. He had never been exposed to Power like he had just been witness to.
He slowly pushed himself back to his feet. As he did, he could feel his bones wanting to give way beneath the weight of his body, but he wouldn't allow them to. He forced his body to stand fully erect and absorbed the pain that pulsed through him.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Jinko stood back up, not facing Gabriel this time he was facing the door. "No no, not the dark side, Gabriel, the force itself. But you will learn that in time. You're dismissed." Not gazing back at the weakened state Gabriel is in, Jinko simply walked out of the room leaving him to ponder his own thoughts. Sometimes knowledge could come from one's own growing.
