Gabriel Bane

My apprentice Gabriel is more than ready for the next path in his career. From being a fighter, to tactics, to understanding fundamental basics of the force. The next step is the only way for him to learn anything more.

That is his training thread, he's spent quite some time as an apprentice so within that time I feel we covered the necessities of growing. He'll make a fine Sith and Commander Acrimonus, he'll be a great addition to your military.
Brigadier General Matas

What are your goals for when you ascend to the higher ranks of the Sith?
Darth Malice

My goals when I reach the upper echelons of the Sith are rather simple:

To instill fear into the minds of all who have ever even thought of opposing the Sith. I would accomplish this by showing no mercy to even luke-warm supporters of the Sith. All or nothing.

Expanding our grand Empire even further would be another goal of interest to me. All in the name of the Sith Empire of course.

Finally, it would be my greatest wish to personally track down all former and present supporters of the Jedi. To cut them down beneath me would be an honor I could only dream of.
Brigadier General Matas

How would you accomplish this?
Darth Malice

This is all after I have reached the required rank to command these things.

Goal #1 - Instilling fear in our enemies would not prove difficult given the reputation of the Sith. Also, with our superior Weapons, Aircraft, and Training a military show of force would more than suffice. ((Much in the same way present day militaries demonstrate their superiority.)) True supporters of the Sith would not be hard to find. As for the semi-supporters, they would receive their "deserved" treatment.

Goal #2 - Expanding our Empire would take a little more time and preparation. With our numerous battlegroups we could set out to overtake planets that have not yet relinquished themselves to the will of the Empire. One thing I would like to bring back would be the World Devastator. The weapons that had been used to wreak havoc on not only planets themselves but also the natural resources the inhabitants needed to survive. This would surely force them to bow to our will, also contributing to my first goal. Follow these machines in suit with a large military presence in the worlds that have forfeit themselves.

I believe this quote from former Grand Moff Tarkin fits in well with my ideas of achieving Goals 1 and 2. The only difference is that I would not hesitate to resort to the latter of the quote.

"Rule through the fear of force rather than through force itself. If we use our strength wisely, we shall cow thousands of worlds with the example of a select few. These examples would need to be highly visible worlds, whose punishment would be further revealed through our control of information via the hyper media."

Goal #2 Part 2 - There are several other devastating weapons I would also like to bring back. To name a few;

World Devastators,

the Galaxy Gun,

and the Sun Crusher.

Another quote from Tarkin's Doctrine. This quote accurately describes what these Superweapons could be. Again, my only difference of opinion is that why settle for one when you could have more.

"This natural state can be exploited to a far greater degree, as the average citizen deals in symbols, not rational analysis. If we present the Galaxy with a weapon so powerful, so immense as to defy all conceivable opposition against it, a weapon invulnerable and invincible in battle, then that weapon shall become the symbol of the Empire. We need only a handful, perhaps as few as one, of these weapons to subjugate a thousand thousand worlds. It must have force enough to dispatch an entire system, power enough to shatter planets. The fear such a weapon will inspire will be great enough for you to rule the Galaxy unchallenged. What do you need with the Senate when you can give direct control of territories to your hand-picked regional governors? Sweep away the last remnants of the Old Republic and let fear keep the local systems in line—fear of our ultimate weapon."

Goal #3 - Tracking down all former and present supporters of the Jedi may prove to be difficult, at first. This would require some amount of research and espionage. It would be more of a lengthy campaign, but one well worth the time.
Supreme Commander Alor

I see that you have ambitions.

But I must question the first one. No one is completely for an idea/ideal. Just like no one is completely evil or completely good. Even I may have doubts about the Sith (an example not a confession...). By killing off those who are not completely for us, our supporters would either be down to you alone, or the rest of us after someone kills you in your efforts...
Darth Malice

"Grand Admiral, I must disagree with you. I believe you can fully support something if you believe in it strongly enough. Maybe the confusion is in my wording. By luke-warm supporter I mean someone that has supported the Sith at times and something else at times."

"I'm not speaking of the Sith themselves, but of the public. I concur that at times you may not agree with something but that does not mean you've turned away."

"It is my own belief that if you do not believe in the overall idea of what your fighting to expand, what is the point of fighting for it at all?"
Brigadier General Matas

Interesting to say the least. Although I may not agree with some of the "how" answers, it is still interesting. You have a mentality of a True Sith, even if that is not what the galaxy needs.

I know you spoke of joining the Military, why is that the order for you? What would you do within the military? Why are you an acceptable candidate for the military?
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Because he's got the brains for it.
Brigadier General Matas

I did not ask you Darth Prognie.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Nor is this the place for you to be questioning his initiation. If you read his training, which I am assuming you didn't, he demonstrates why he should be in it. And he also demonstrates what he could do and that was in two different simulations. Why ask questions that are clearly answered in the training? Plus, you don't accept his application into the military, Acrimonus will.
Darth Malice

Brigadier General Matas, I am not a man of many words. I feel that my actions will speak volumes of what I am capable of. As my Master, Lord Prognie, has already stated, if I am infact put in a position of authority within the military I will be more than efficient. It is not my intention to come across as brash, or cocky, but I will not disappoint my fellow Sith within the military, nor Commander Acrimonus, nor the Emperor himself.

It is my desire to join the ranks of the Sith Army. I wish to fight alongside the ground forces, regardless of my own rank. If I am needed in more of a tactical way down the road, I suppose it will be addressed at that time. As for the answer to why I wish to join the Army. It is the only place within the Sith that I can shed my enemies blood with my own hands. That is where I feel my "True Sith" characterstics, as you stated, can be best utilized. I hold no moral qualms on the battlefield and as some of my tactics may be classified as brutal, I will put forth my entire self to accomplish the mission.

Also, with no disrespect to you General, I do not understand how a "True Sith" can also be described as "not being what the Galaxy needs". That is something I have some concern about and would like to hear the reasons behind if you'd grant them to me.
Brigadier General Matas

I did read it, but I wanted to hear why he thinks now after his training is over why he should be in the military. It's important to know how he thinks about himself. There are reasons why I am asking what I am asking, I'm not just asking random questions. And duh, I know Acrimonus will, but this is Grabriel's initiation topic which is no place to start arguments.

All are good answers.

A "True Sith" is not fully needed in the galaxy. A True Sith rules by fear and lusts for more power even if that means betraying their own comrades. If you rule by fear and instill only fear into the hearts of many, yes they'll obay you because of your power but they will not care for you and many rebellious organizations will appear. The citizens will later go behind your back and go against your wishes without caring for you. Even if you kill many of the rebellions, more will spring up and people will continue to fight. A True Sith acts similar to a tyrant and that is not what the galaxy needs. To bring order to the galaxy, one yes must take over, conquer, and take power but you must do it in a way that you are invisioned among the citizens as one to be respected. Fear is a powerful tool, but it has too many "gaps in it's stance". Note that this is just my opinion

I deem you worthy of promotion. Choose a Darth name and your master may proceed with the promotion.
