In 65 ABY, the New Sith waged war with the Imperial Remnant. In 67 ABY, the Sith Order had complete control of the Remnant and prepared to form the Sith Empire of Dol Glorath. Led by Darth Tarna, Sith massacred and executed all the Sith Lords on Korriban to insure they would not interfere with the plans for the next Empire. Founding the new Sith Empire, their capitol world became a backwater planet called Dol Glorath.
During this time, the New Republic and Jedi Order were sitting idly by, hoping the conflict would destroy both factions. To their surprise, a new, powerful empire emerged from the conflict and it would come to threaten them. Building up their military, from 67 ABY to 70 ABY, the Jedi grew by over 500 active members, bringing the total close to 10,000, and the New Republic military was given a serious reformation, still feeling damage from the Confederation-Galactic Alliance War.
The Sith Empire soon forged an alliance with the Chiss Ascendancy. Knowing that the Sith could them an edge against the New Republic, specifically the Jedi, they were ready if war were to come. In 71 ABY, a New Republic ship crashed on Csilla killing nearly 500 people, including brand new Chiss super soldiers, Sith officials, and a Chiss senator. Since Sith were killed in the crash, they had a right to go to war with the Republic. In a sneak attack on Gala, the Sith gained a foothold in the galaxy as they captured the planet, killed the Republic garrison, and destroyed a weapons research facility. In several more battles, the Empire had the Republic on the run.
The New Republic soon gained victories and even attacked the Sith capitol. Defending Dol Glorath, the Sith traced them back to Coruscant and attacked the planet. However, reinforcements returning from the successful victory on Csilla were able to push the Sith back. Now that the Chiss had been defeated, the Sith Empire just the Venen Empire on their side. The Venen, a warrior species from Unknown Space, relied on the Chiss for support in battles in the Unknown Regions. The Sith now had to fill this role. With too much pressure and not forces, the armies and navies of the Empire were now spread thin.
As they were about to start negotiations for peace, the Jeeno attacked. In 76 ABY, the Venen were attacked and one of their factory worlds, vital to the are effort, was captured. The Sith and Jedi sent a joint task force to investigate and were attacked by the Jeeno. Undamaged by lightsabers, the task force was forced to retreat. Holding a joint council on Mon Calamari, the Jedi and Sith agreed to peace and soon the New Republic joined in. Forming an alliance, they thought they were ready to fight the Jeeno.
After being attacked on Dathomir, in which the planet was taken, all factions were on the run. In a simultaneous attack, the capitals of Coruscant and Dol Glorath were taken by the Jeeno and they were pushed to the far reaches of the Outer Rim. Setting up an alliance government on Mon Calamari, the New Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, simply the New Galactic Alliance or New Alliance, set up armies of Chiss, Venen, Sith, Dark Troopers, Jedi, and Republic troops, as well as others, and prepared to invade Jeeno occupied space.
As Csilla fell, the Sith sent a mission to Dol Glorath in which crystals that were found on the planet, originally being tested by scientists to cut through Jeeno armor, were taken. The crystals were massed produce and sent out to all Force Users. In time, the New Alliance began to liberate systems one by one. Eventually making it to Coruscant and Dol Glorath, the only thing left was Weekato 22. Finally locating the ever-moving planet, the largest space battle in the history of the galaxy occurred in which over 1000 major ships on each side battled each other. Warlord Quu, leader of the Jeeno, was killed in the battle and the Jeeno forces fell into turmoil. After glassing the surface of the planet, the New Alliance forces returned to known space.
During this time, a coalition of Grey Jedi formed on Katarr and attacked the Mandalorians on Dxun. Mandalore the Vengeful dueled the Grey Jedi leader and lost, pledging himself to the Grey Jedi. Forming the Republic of Shadows, they were the only government that was neutral during the Force War. Under a new leader, the Republic of Shadows came out into the open and prepared for open war. However, the galaxy needed to be rebuilt since the Jeeno defeat.
For two years, the New Alliance remained, helping rebuild the galaxy. Now it is 84 ABY and the New Alliance has been broken up, the Sith Empire, now the Dark Galactic Empire, have cut off diplomatic ties with the New Republic and the Republic of Shadows is threatening to destroy the galaxy.
