Having an older gf/bf wont cause any problems except his/her friends trying to treat you as a puppy (seriously  ). From what I understood from your words, you have not met with her before, its platonic. (correct me if im wrong because you said you have to wait, so i assume you not met yet). If not met yet, try to contact her and make her know you before its too late (High school is a dangerous place lol)
If she knows you, you better start to plan your weekends.
Step 1) Learn her weekend free-time plan from a common friend
Step 2)Be there on time and find her then tell
"-Hey you like ...... (place, movie,play,concert etc) too, its great, we have common tastes"
Step 3)Invite somewhere continously (different places - let her also learn what you like) but not bore her with too much insistence
Step 4)After some "friendly" meetings, start physical contact:D

I know her. Known her for,... a couple years at least. Her friends treat me good, but she can be a jerk.(She wont even talk half of the time. I live in a rural area so I can't really get around to her "Hangout." Besides, where is a thirteen-year-old supposed to drive to?

Umm.. If you have a cool garden (and some interesting things like horses), throw a party and invite her but also invite her friends so she wont feel alone and bored there. If you wont act asap, your thoughts will never get in action  Because probably after a year, she wont even recognize you at HS

Hey, your problems are nothing like mine.
I have a girlfriend and we've been together for almost a year. The weekend before last, I was at my friends party when my one of my best friends came out to everyone. Now, everyone was shocked that he was gay but I didn't mind. However, recently he's started to flirt with me and, yesterday, he told me he liked me. I'm straight but this is really starting to make me uncomfortable. My girlfriend has started to notice and has asked me to stay away from him. It's all really odd because I'm not that good looking. So, anybody know what I do?

Try to tell him softly (but seriously) that he does not have a chance with you. Maybe you, your girlfriend and he can talk together to solve the issue, so noone would get offended. Do not be harsh against him since its his natural feeling. I also have a friend like that. He told he loves me long ago, still says sometimes but he also knows that he does not have a chance. We are still good friends, it haven't changed anything between us, even my respect towards him increased because of his honesty and confidence.

Tell him thatYou are straight. Tell him that you do not like him like that, and that you would like to have him as a best friend still. Tell him you think of him ONLY as a best friend. Tell him that your girlfriend is getting a little annoyed whereas he is flirting with you.

Celestial: I was like that when I was younger. I hated being seen in public with my girlfriend. For me, it was just a phase. However, she could be insecure or self-consious. Is it her first relationship? If it is, she may not be used to it.

I try to avoid girls like that. I once went out with one and we went to MacDonalds (they do brilliant milkshakes) and she ordered a burger meal but when she got it, there was a tiny bit of tomato sauce and she went mental. While she was arguing with the lady behind the counter, I left.

Summer 4-h, a group of people that will take you all over the state to view fun places. A bus is a vehicle used to haul many kids.
