I think it would be nice, what with all these anniversaries, if we all posted how we got here, to TDSL. Did we find it on Google, told by a friend? Did you even pick it up from one of my oh-so subtle youtube ads? It will be interesting I think.

I got here through Google, believe it or not. In 2,005, I had no idea what roleplaying was, and I was barely 15, but I searched something like "Sith, Star Wars, message board." And on the sixth or seventh page, here DSL was, less than a week old.

I've first start roleplaying on TSC in 2005 summer. On Hi5.com (a facebook like thingy for who dont know) I've created a Sith group. There were bunch of Jedi groups but no Sith groups, so it kinda became popular. Few weeks later, a guy named Dan (Scyrone was his nickname, I believe he was also active here for a short period) suggested a site called The Sith Council, thats how things've started for me. I was the 11th member of the site. Then I spent some time on many SW sites besides TSC. Then we moved to Forceuser. After a fight and getting tired with Bible guys there *cough cough*, I registered on this site because the it was the most active one

I joined Galaxy of the Force and I remember Will talking about this place. I still hadn't known much about it until one day I came across it and joined. GotF then DSL then TSC were the sites I joined. And well, now here I am making your lives miserable. Smile

I read Drew Karpyshyn's novel about Darth Bane - Path of Destruction, and decided I would like to be involved in a communtiy that upholds such tenets... so I searched "join the Sith" into Dogpile, and a few links down was TDSL.

I originally joined Star Wars Combine (I found a few small Roleplaying sites, but they died in their infancy). It was cool, but too many poor roleplayers, a lot of Godmodding, and it wasn't free enough (very few force users, no combat, kind of like a browser-based game, etc.).

I then somehow found Rebels, I don't remember. I stayed they a few months, heard some ranting and raving about TDSL, and I asked for a link. I actually ended up transferring my original TDSL character, Darth Invicta, to Rebels (Except, he's called Lord Invictus there). I then decided it'd be fun to make more characters rather than share one, so I made Darth Macht. Both of my main characters are psychotic.

Rebels is more interesting in terms of combat as they have a "PvP" system apart from dueling. Due to the high activity and large population, TDSL will become my more political website, which I find great!

We are currently working on becoming a government and then we'll revive the ancient Sith empire, buhahahah!

Ah, yes, I frankly remember. It was sometime in January and I was beginning to find wikipedia more than exciting. Yet, it did not provide all of my star wars needs right away so I typed in "sith lords" in google, and on the seventh page I found this. I didn't know what roleplaying was, all I new that from was the games that you can pick your own career. Yes, I was underage when I joined, but it was just a month later when I joined. I remember being so excited, and everytime a red lightsaber would pop up on training, my heart jumped.

I at one point started my own Star Wars fansite called StarWarsChat. It wasn't very active so I searched for "Star Wars" or something like that in the MFF directory. I found GotF and was active there for a while before it died. Then I moved on to Rebels and eventually here.
