Who: Darth Suspiria and Darth Serratus

Crozeus waited calmly outside the huge chapter on Tatooine. He was awaiting the arrival of two Church interns, whom were to fight for him to monitor their blade skills.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria arrived at the Church Chapter on Tatooine and entered the building. Her nerves were highly strung but she felt ready. Her skills would be assessed this day, as well as Darth Serratus's.
Her violet lightsaber, was hooked to her belt and the desert sunlight shone on its hilt. She wore pants, a lightweight shirt and comfortable shoes. Suspiria's frame of mind was cool, but resolute. This was important to her.
She spotted the Dark Warrior, Prophet Crozeus across the hall and bowed to him respectfully. Today he was a judge, not a friend and ally. She waited for her opponent to arrive with a thrill of exhilaration.

High Mage Serratus

Darth Serratus entered the sparring field. He carried with him his blood-red gold saberstaff, he wore his casual clothes. With the saberstaff in hand, he saluted Darths Suspiria and Crozeus before drawing his dual-phase blade, far longer than any other, with a snap-hiss!

High Prophet Crozeus
|
Crozeus looked at the two. He raised his hand and a long shaft sprang to his finger tips.
"You will stop when I say so. Failure to do so will show us that you are not disciplined. Other than that, no rules. My decision is final. You may begin."
With that, he stepped back, slamming the staff into the ground.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria watched as Darth Serratus entered the arena. She knew he collected weapons, and had many skills. She took out her own purple lightsaber. Crack-hiss the amethyst light burst forth, creating plum-colored shadows on the floor.
She raised the blade before her face, now shaded by the deep hue of the lightsaber. With a Makashi flourish she saluted her opponent. Then she took up a sideways stance, bladepoint touching the center of one of the glowing circles.

High Mage Serratus

Darth Serratus bowed slightly to Darth Suspiria before giving his own Makashi flourish. He stood momentarily before sauntering forward into an uppercut strike.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria dodged the uppercut by Darth Serratus. She moved swiftly, feinted, then twirled into a leg sweep attempting to lift him off his feet.

High Mage Serratus
|
Serratus quickly switched to Ataru and used a Force jump to dodge Suspiria's low kick. He flipped over her and landed behind her. He switched forms once again to Shii Cho and delivered a powerful blow.

Darth Suspiria
|
Dark Suspiria flowed back absorbing the blow. She moved forward then to press the attack in Teras Kasi form. Using the Aryx slash she brought her lightsaber down with swift movements utilizing force speed towards his swordarm.

High Mage Serratus
|
Serratus knew he had a choice. Either let her get to his swordarm and risk potential dismemberment or keep up his defenses and risk having all the bones in his arm shatter. He quickly chose neither. He dropped to the ground and kicked Suspiria's feet from underneath her.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria was caught by surprise for a second as Darth Serratus kicked her feet out from under her. She however was experienced in hand to hand combat and using her momentum she turned it to her advantage.
She went into a tuck position as she flew backwards and flipped in the air landing on her feet. Sword ready she slashed at Darth Serratus's calf as he was rising to his feet.

High Mage Serratus
|
Serratus grunted as his calf was slashed open. Suspiria had not gotten his Achilles tendon or bone so he was able to stumble forward before regaining his composure and turning around and launching a wild and unprecedented attack in his least-practised form, Vaapad.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria had not been expecting the wild attack and especially not in Vaapad. She had researched Darth Serratus before the duel and this was not his primary lightsaber combat form.
He hit her lower arm with one of his movements and it stung where it had struck. A burn immediately rose around a slash and she winced.
She feinted back away from the wild swings, parrying his swordplay then moved forward again with a Ballestra Lunge following the feint, slashing at his side.

High Mage Serratus

Serratus turned to avoid the strike but the blade cut through his hip. He winced as it was burned away. Luckily she had missed his kidney but it had been close. He reverted to his familiar Makashi and let loose a barrage of swift strikes while she was recovering from the lunge.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Serratus had excellent Makashi form as did she, and Darth Suspiria answered his fierce fencing with ferocity of her own. Stroke for stroke she met him as they circled and dodged and weaved.
The lightsabers glisaded, sparks of multiple colors rained down on them. Then she compound-riposted, faded back and raising her hand, poured force lightening at his body.

Serratus roared inwardly as the lightning struck his body. Struggling against his muscles' convulsions he raised his own hands and converted the intense pain he was feeling into his own Force lightning which he fired right back at this cunning counterpart.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria felt the force lightening strike her and she kept firing at Darth Serratus. The two firing together though made it difficult to maintain. She fired hers at his force lightening which broke the chain.
She then force pushed him with a huge push sending him flying backwards as she advanced. With caution however. He was a savvy opponent she knew.

Serratus grunted as he hit the wall behind him. He saw Darth Suspiria running towards him. He quickly raised his saberstaff and pulled his chain-shoto from his sleeve, charging to meet her assault whilst spinning the chain-shoto like a buzzsaw.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria knew she had been right to proceed with caution. She saw Darth Serratus pull the chain-shoto from his sleeve. It whirred so swiftly it was difficult to see.
She approached a bit slower now circling. She couldn't allow him to wrap it around her lightsaber. Suddenly she passata sottoed, going down on one hand under the chain-shoto and in a swing kick she kicked his feet out from under him.

The low kick sent Serratus sprawling on to the ground. He recovered fairly quickly though he had taken a large gash to the face. He threw his chain-shoto like a bolo so as to entangle Suspiria's feet before charging with a Shien uppercut.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria's fell over backward as the chain-shoto wrapped around her legs. She hit the floor heavily banging her shoulder and head. She managed to disengage from the chain-shoto and as Darth Serratus swung the uppercut at her, she used his own weapon against him.
She spun the chain-shoto around his wrist and pulled using force pull to enhance the movement. Darth Serratus flew through the air like a bird, directly at the wall.

High Mage Serratus
|
Serratus hit the wall hard, breaking his nose. He hadn't seen that coming. He rose slowly before yanking the chain-shoto from Suspiria and changing it into its saberstaff form. He proceeded to launch a heavy Jar'Kai assault on the opponent Sith, all the while blood pumping from his nose and flowing on to his chin.

Your original post states that you were waiting outside the chapter on Tatooine. That to me implies a building, arena, something with walls. Do you want us to edit?}}

As Darth Serratus attacked in a furious assault Darth Suspiria was struck on the arm once again and it began to bleed profusely. Now the two of them were bloodied and the duel more combative. As he advanced she momentarily retreated.
But not for long. To counter the complex Jar'Kai manuevers she employed a compound attack Riposting...feinting...parrying... then riposting...feinting...parrying, again and again. They circled and advanced , sparks flying. She suddenly feinted and trompemented. Utilizing force push to amplify the palm strike she aimed directly at his chest.

((Lightsabers cauterise wounds as they cut them, I just thought I'd point that out.))
Serratus turned slightly, to allow the strike to hit him on the ribs, much like his duel with Darth Crozeus. However, this turned out to be a big mistake, as he felt a rib crack. Luckily it didn't pierce his lungs or heart and after flying backwards a few metres, he was able to land on his feet, albeit coughing blood. He connected his two saberstaves together into a monstrous doublesaber before charging Suspiria with a double-bladed Djem So variant.

As Darth Serratus charged she saw the monstrous staff coming towards her. She feinted back out of its reach and circled, keeping her distance. She looked around and realized that there was little in the arena to use for the sake of advantage, but there was something. She leapt high in the air using the force to help her and force pushed herself off a support beam. She landed behind Darth Serratus and struck swiftly, aiming at the same side with her lightsaber that she had hit with the palm strike.

Darth Serratus pushed his saberstaff backwards, blocking the hit before spinning around into a twirling repeat-strike, constantly switching directions.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria took two hits, one on each shoulder from the saberstaff. She winced in pain and bit her lip to keep from crying out. She retreated back and began to circle Serratus, staying out of the reach of the saberstaff.
She fleched moving in and then charging past Darth Serratus. As she made her pass, she swung her lightsaber down, using force push to aid the blow and struck the saberstaff in the middle with tremendous force. She then continued on ending in a turn-around slide, facing him blade pointed in the en garde position.

Serratus turned to her with his doublesaber once again separated into two saberstaves. She had sliced off the electromagnetic connectors but spared the rest of the sabers. Or so he thought. There were sudden sparks from the damaged hilts and his blades disappeared. He turned to Crozeus.
"Is the duel over, or would you like me to continue with the hilts and the Force?"

High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus regarded him with a single eye. He didn't respond, only looked to Suspiria, giving a slight nod of his head, a signal for her to move.

Darth Suspiria
|
Darth Suspiria looked at Prophet Crozeus who had signalled for her to move. She moved towards Darth Serratus whose blades were now extinguished.
She moved however with caution, knowing what a wily opponent he was and that he could still use the force. She brandished her sword and pointed it at him, still keeping her distance, then moving in slowly little by little. The violet lightsaber gleamed on the floor of the dojo. She curved the blade towards Darth Serratus's neck and asked. "Do you surrender?"

Serratus turned his saberstaff into its chain-shoto form and swung it around Darth Suspiria's arm, as she had to him earlier. He yanked it while simultaneously kicking her legs from beneath her and Force pushing her midriff.

Darth Suspiria

Darth Suspiria felt the wind leaving her as Darth Serratus force-pushed her midriff. She felt her legs yanked from under her and she went down hard. She had known not to trust his seeming defencelessness.
She managed to keep her thoughts and using her free hand she grabbed ahold of the chain shoto as she went down and rolled putting the force into it as she went pulling Darth Serratus after her and unbalancing him.

Both Sith were suddenly thrown back from a blast in the Force. Crozeus stepped forward.
"You both performed excellently, demonstrating superb blade technique and ability. I would expect little more from a Prophet. I declare both your internships completed. Congratulations Suspiria, you have passed with flying colours."
His expression darkened as he looked at Serratus. "Unfortunately, this does not apply to you. It is a shame we will be without such a strong, talented, intelligent Prophet." He raised his arm and a scythe flew into his open and waiting palm. "I believe this is yours."
He beckoned to Suspira. "Darth Suspiria, please follow me. Darth Serratus - you may leave now. Enjoy the Military."
With that, he turned and walked into the wonderfully cooling air of the Chapter, Suspiria in his wake.
