In this topic I will teach you OOC of how to duel. This will be a mix of OOC and IC in this topic. Mostly you will post some IC and then I will give you feedback OOC. Once I feel that your post is adequate and fair then I will post my own IC response and we will go from there.
First off, let me see what your introduction to a duel would be like.

Pussycat stood in the dueling chambers of the temple waiting for her opponent to come, while in deep concentration. She looked around to see if anyone had come. Seeing no one, she went back into concentration.

It is not bad, for someone that does not want to be that much into detail, but I need you to delve into the greatest depths of your imagination and start something.
You need to describe the area in great detail, including anything you notice lying on the ground, any pillars in the area (If it is outside determine whether the sun is up or not, the wind is blowing, or any other type of weather). That should be at least a six to seven sentence paragraph.
After that you would describe your mental and physical state before the duel, as well as any weapons on you. How you describe yourself in paragraph number two will more then likely determine the intensity of the duel, and what limits you have.
After that there is not much you can do unless you want to add something in there that will help you in the duel, such as a vision when meditating or something like that.
Try that please

OCC: So I'm going to start over. Ok? Is this better?
ICC: She walked into the room. It had a greenish glow in it, making it look eerie. But that didn't bother Cat, because she loved the way it was so familar and calming to her. With moss hanging down from the pillars, rocks, and ceiling, it gave the impression of the jungle. She loved it there, and wouldn't have it any other way. She was at peace there.
Her hair was tied back in a long plait, her facial features unreadable. Her head was hooded and bowed, her hands in the folds of her cloak. She was deep in concentration, waiting for the young man who was to be her opponent. She had been told this in a vision, in the dead of night. She noticed something on the ground, and picked it up. It was a stone. She thought it would be good for later. She put it in her pocket, and stood there waiting for him to come.
