Duff entered the briefing room where Emperor Shadow was awaiting.
"You summoned me Emperor" Duff asked as he knelt to the Floor
Isaah
Qel'Vos was entrenched in his dark robes, which flowed through the gentle breeze in the antechamber, as he lay in wait for his friend, Executor Duff. His face was shrouded in darkness as his hood was enshrawled upon his head, revealing only his chin through the pale light. He stood, facing the doors Duff had strolled through a moment ago, after being summoned by the Emperor. His mind ran wild as he became lost in his own thoughts.
"I wonder what's going on.."
Sith Alchemist Kor
Kor ran up behind Qel'Vos to see what he was looking at. He looked in and saw Duff and wondered what was going on. He continued to watch as Emperor Shadow aproached Duff and began to speak.
Isaah
Qel'Vos removed his hand from it's place on his chin as he sensed Kor approach from behind him. With a cunning grin from under his dark cloak, he sent Kor a gentle wave with his hand, signalling for him to remain silent. Pressing one finger to his lips, Qel'Vos took a seat in a nearby chair, and awaited for the meeting to conclude.
".. Take a seat, young Alchemist." Qel'Vos said as he invited Kor to join him in a nearby chair. "We'll probably be here for quite some time.. and I don't believe we've met before."
Sith Alchemist Kor
"No I don't believe we have. I'm Darth Kor. I've heard some stories about you and I'm wondering if you're as good as they say. But now is not the time nor the place for such thoughts. Right now I'm inquiring as to what is going on with Duff."
Isaah
"I've been here for quite some time, Kor.. and I've come to terms with the fact that I'm often left out of most things.. I get instructions.. and I follow 'em. Learn to do that, and you'll be one of my best friends."
Qel'Vos said with a playful grin as he let his hood fall to his shoulders with a slight thud. His gray/black marbled eyes instantly pierced through Kor, sending a shiver down his spine. Qel'Vos simply giggled alittle to himself.
Darth Thrax
Inquisitor Thrax felt the breeze on his face as he entered the antechamber without a sound. He gazed at the Alchemist Kor and Lord Qel'Vos having a conversation. He grinned alittle and walked over to them. He sat down next to Qel'Vos and leaned over to him. "What did I miss?" Inquisitor Thrax asked.
Isaah
"Nothing.. absolutely nothing."
Qel'Vos said with a scolding voice, filled with bitterness and eagerness at the same time. His eyes wandered the antechamber, locating several guards, silk linens, and stone-carved windows. He finally looked to the two Sith that were near him and laughed quietly.
"Well now.. what are we to do?"
Darth Thrax
"As you said before, nothing." Inquisitor Thrax replied. He respected the Priest and Alchemist alike and gave no harsh words to either of them. He turned back to the Emporer and Executor Duff. They were speaking to eachother and he didn't want to interrupt them so he gazed back at the two Sith near him and smirked. "This could go on forever my friends."
Lord Angmar
Angmar made his way through the passage ways that led to the ante chamber. The soft clink of his Sith armor was heard, followed by the trailing of long Black robes. The Sith Lord entered the chamber, seeing his fellow comrades and took a seat, watching them. He nodded in respect toward each of them and waited silently for the orders of this mission to be given.
Darth Acrimonus
Commander Acrimonus stepped quietly into the room, standing silently beside the door. He wore his Military uniform - grey-green tunic and pants with polished black boots and belt - and his long hair tied tightly behind his head. He nodded his head respectfully to the other Sith gathered in the room, waiting patiently to know what was going on.
Lord Seti
Seti walked down the hallway, still dressed in his ceremonial robes. He had been in such a rush that he had forgotten to change. His eyes reflected a deeper tone of red, almost crimson.I'm gonna have to fix that someday. Side effects from the ritual, he presumed.
He walked into the antechamber. Walking over to where the other Sith were sitting. He nodded in recognition.
"Lord Qel'Vos..Inquisitor Thrax...Alchemist Kor." he spoke in low tones as he took a seat.
Smiling lightly, "And yes Alchemist...Lord Qel'Vos is that good."
Seti then directed his focus toward Emperor Shadow and Executor Duff.
High Defender Adenn
Taki had followed the entourage of sith members into the Chamber and saw his master. He bowed before the emperor and Duff and walked over to the congregation and took a seet beside High Alchemist Seti.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Hand Tarna walked in. He nodded to Lords Seti, Qel'Vos, and Angmar. He chose not to take a seat, but stand in the corner. He looked around at his companions. This is the wierdest group I've ever seen. he thought to himself.
Sith Alchemist Kor
Kor looked around at the assembled group of Sith and noticed that there was no specific group of people. It was all just a bunch of Sith who decided to get a glims of what was going on in the Empire. It was a bit strange and Kor could tell that everyone had noticed the same thing. I wonder what'll happen next. Kor said to himself as he waited in his chair.
Supreme Commander Alor
Striding into the chamber, Marix saw all the Sith gathering. Bowing to the Emperor, he walked over to Acrimonus and stood next to him. Turning to look at the Commander, he saw hardened eyes, and refrained from taking up a friendly chat. The Commander must be thinking hard on this campaign., he thought to himself. Facing the Emperor once again, he leaned against the wall and waited for the briefing to begin.
Darth Relentless
Darth Relentless lowers his hood as he enters the briefing room, acknowledging each sith in the room with an affirming nod. He takes his place, standing next to commander Acrimonus and Darth Marix and awaits the briefing, his arms crossed and a serious expression on his face.
Darth Duff
Darth Duff started the Holo-Receiver, Emperor Shadow Appeared in a blue transparent form
"Sorry i can not be here personally to oversee the briefing but i have been called away on urgent business" The Emperor explained
The sith in the briefing room all nodded
"Now Duff, as Executor for the Hands I am asking you to perform a mission for me"Shadow asked
Duff bowed before his Emperor, Saying "Anything my Lord"
"Good, it has come to my attention that a mercenary vessel has entered our empire, this vessel is believe to be en route from the unknown regions, where it has terrorised whole systems for credits. I am asking you to lead an experienced team of sith to intercept the vessel and gain some information on the precise, previous course of the Vessel, including all systems that it has terrorised. A second objective is to locate all senior officials on the vessel and eliminate them" The Emperor explained
Duff rose to his feet clenched his fist and nodded his head
"Very well Emperor, It shall be done" Duff replied
"I am sending you a datapad with details of the team i wish for you to take with you, use them as you wish" And with this last statement, Empeor Shadow disappeared from the room.
Duff reached over to the transmitter and downloaded the infromation, He then read out the list of Sith the Emperor had outlined
"Lord Seti
Lord Angmar
Lord Acrimonus
Hand Tarna
Prophet Qel'Vos
Inquisitor Thrax
Darth Marix
Darth Relentless
Taki Koon
Report for your duties" Duff Requested
Supreme Commander Alor
"Ready and waiting for orders, sirs." replied Marix. He could feel the tension in the air. Knowing the mission was vital to the integrity of the Empire, he steeled himself for the unexpected and the necessary.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
The Sith Hand Tarna readied himself. He knew very well that mercenaries were difficult foes.
Isaah
Qel'Vos nodded towards Duff with a friendly grin, which quickly turned to a sneer as he thought about the Mercenary Vessel. He'd had quite acouple encounters with mercenaries before, and they always seemed to end badly. He moved his hand up to his face, and rolled his thumb across his nose.
"No problem.." Qel'Vos said with a maniacal smile, "I've been in this kinda situation before."
The Sith Lord seemed to have little fear of the mercenaries, but his over-confidence had gotten him into trouble before. Qel'Vos' eyes scanned the room, looking at all the sith, who seemed to be preparing themselves, mentally, for the upcoming event.
Darth Thrax
Inquisitor Thrax nodded towards Duff as in a reply. He turned his head to the other Sith and took a look at each of them carefully. They were all preparing themselves for the upcoming mission. They all had special skills and traits that would prove to be invaluble during their mission.
High Defender Adenn
"Ready and waiting Master." He said rising to his feet and bowing. "What would you have me do?"
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus could sense the eagerness of all gathered to be underway. He too felt he'd spent far too long in the Temple. He felt the weight of a datapad in his pocket - a direct link to the Temple computers, and all the Military files contained within them - and waited for Executor Duff to personally outline the mission they were all undoubtedly about to be involved in.
High Inquisitor Gra'tua
[would i be able to join this?]
Supreme Commander Alor
[Please post in the other forum/thread for this RP. It can be found in Saga Discussion]
Darth Relentless
This mission would be a new and dangerous experience for Relentless, but one he welcomed. He took a step forward to make his presence known and awaited further instruction.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna walked over to Darth Relentless. "How are you, my old apprentice?"
Darth Duff
"Attention" Duff commanded
"We shall be leaving for our mission tonight, gather all of your equipment and meet me in the hanger" Duff announced
Duff left the briefing room abruptly, as if something was troubling him already about the upcoming mission.
Isaah
Qel'Vos quickly followed after Duff, keeping up with his quick pace as his robes billowed in the breeze they created. Qel'Vos, hand on his hilt, which rested on his belt, walked directly beside Duff, and continued on, walking along with him, as if he were already prepared.
"I don't have anything else to do, my brother. All that I need is present. Do you mind if I tag along with you til we embark on our mission?"
Darth Duff
"Be my guest, I too am travelling light, no need to burden myself with material safeguards." Duff replied
As Duff and Qel'Vos walked towards the Hangar together they shared a conversation about past dealings with Mercenaries.
Supreme Commander Alor
walking out the door, he saw Acrimonus leaving after him. He slowed down and walked with the Commander. He was busy thinking of what he would need. So far he had compiled a list of weapons. He knew he would need a saber, and a blaster, but where ever he would be assigned would affect his descision. Turning to Acrimonus, he asked, "Where will I be stationed, does anyone know? I need to get equipment, but I want the right studd for the right job, not a bunch of things I won't even think about using."
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus drew the datapad from his pocket and activated the uplink to the Temple computer system. A readout of the current status location of all vessels in the First Fleet - the fleet assigned to him personally as Supreme Commander and Council Member - scrolled across the screen.
He took a moment to scan down the list as Marix spoke, another to consider his options. While most of the fleet were occupied with non-essential tasks, moving too much of any one fleet would certainly be noticed. He wasn't sure if such a move was appropriate at this time.
"Until the mission is underway I'd like to have you serving aboard the Bespin Sunset. You're more experienced with the duties of a naval officer than many others I saw gathered at the initial briefing, and it would be an ideal position. As for your duties once we're underway, I cannot say for certain."
Marix nodded, and waited for Acrimonus to answer his second question. Again, the Commander glanced at the datapad. "Equipment in another matter entirely. Every member is going to have their own ideas of what is necessary. Someone like Prophet Qel'Vos can get by with just the clothes on his back, others need to plan everything to the finest detail.
"At any rate, our vessels are kept well stocked with essential equipement. Accomidations can be made for your one of your personal craft, if you wish it. Otherwise, I'd suggest you take only what you think necessary if you had nothing else."
Offering Marix a polite gesture of parting, Acrimonus made his way into his office. He selected five vessels from the mission - the Empire-class Star Destroyer Bespin Sunset and an escort of one Dreadnaught-class and three Carrak-class cruisers. Overkill, he felt, but safer than a single Star Destroyer. If Executor Duff felt it unecessary, the crews of the unrequired vessels could use a couple of days on the Capital before returning to their routine duties.
Having the ships reassigned he made his way to the hanger to meet Executor Duff. He'd be commed as soon as the ships gathered in system, and it would take no time at all to shuttle the members aboard.
High Defender Adenn
Taki stood to his feet and walked out of the room. His face blank, his eyes closed. He was thinking about his paart he would play in the upcomming mission. He walked to his room and grabbed both his sabers, an extra face mask and goggles. He also grabbed the basic equipment he would need. He then walked out of his room and twords the hanger, where the ship was waiting.
Supreme Commander Alor
((It seems that this RP has died before it started. Come on, let's pump the life back into it!))
Marix quickly went to his quarters, grabbed a few things, like clothes and power packs, and his extra sabers, comm, and data-pad. Walking down to the hangar, he commed his ship and told his men to get the suppkies that he then listed. After he was done, he walked over to Koon, Duff, Qel'Vos and Acrimonus and nodded at each. Moving to Acrimonus, he quietly spoke. "Sir, I am ready for your commands. My ship is ready and as soon as the ships get here, we can lift off to the ship you have assigned me and I'll follow your commands."
After he spoke with Acrimonus, he again nodded at Koon, and Qel'Vos and then moved toward Duff. When he got near him, he began to speak.
"My lord, are there any commands for me? Where would you desire me stationed? Right now I am serving Acrimonus on the Bespin Sunset."
He patiently waited for the Executor to speak...
Darth Duff
"Sith we are leaving now" Duff said as he walked up to a seemingly abandoned docking bay....
"Everyone on-board my ship, there is plenty of room..." Duff continued with a sharp glint in his eyes.
All the sith stared at Duff and looked at each other to ask if he had gone mad, there was no ship at the bay, completely clear...
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Duff asked, as he rasied his hand a silver glow appeared in front of them and a vessel was visible in the dark..
"This is my custom build infiltrator, based on early models with a few extra abilities including presence masking to all but very powerful sith." Duff explained as Acrimonus gave a sly wink to the Executor....
All the sith boarded the ship and were ready for take off, the journey would take a while so they talked about the upcoming challenge
Isaah
Qel'Vos, keeping to himself, stood several feet from any other Sith. He seemed entrenched in thoughts, both of the present and of the future, even going as far as to think about his past, and horrific, experiences with Mercenaries. Qel'Vos kept his hand safely on his lightwhip's grip, hidden under his vast armour-weave shouldercape. He stood at ease, resting comfortably as he filled himself with a false feeling of security, created by his weapon, which lay on hand, neatly in it's holster.
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus sat aboard Duff's personal Infiltrator. It was an impressive ship - utilizing technologies that were often too expensive or obscure for wide spread use - well suited to the Executor's line of work.
Shifting his position in his seat, Acrimonus leant closer to Duff. "What do you know of the mercenaries leaders? Surely - to have this many Sith sent after them they must be formidable - yet I've heard nothing about them."
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna walked slowly up the boarding ramp. He wasn't sure of what else Duff would have hiding. He took a seat in the corner. The Hand buckled his safety belt. He smiled at the other Sith and said, "Safety first."
Darth Duff
Duff smiled at Tarna's comment then turned back to the commander, who was still surveying the ship
"The Emperor has told me that they are experienced men, they only hire ex-military personnel, who have seen action" Duff explained
"Yet most have only been involved in minor skirmishes and civil wars on their systems, not like any grand battle" Duff continued
"As for their leader, little is known of him. He is a shady character, not necessarily deriving from the military himself. He is also xenophobic, he does not allow any alien species on-board his vessel" Duff pointed out
The two sith continued their conversation while the other sith chatted about the forthcoming mission
High Defender Adenn
Taki walked twords the Executor. He had many thought on his mind. "Master Duff, what will I be doing on his most important mission?" He asked as he stood on the Executo's right hand side.
Darth Duff
"Taki your job shall be securing the preliminary advance onto the mercenary ship and protecting our secure route off the ship." Duff said
"It should be a simple task" Duff said with an evil glint in his eye
Supreme Commander Alor
((Safety belt? I don't think that the ship has lifted off yet, so...))
Marix walked up the ramp. Seeing Acrimonus and Duff enthralled in conversation, he took a seat nearby and waited for the games to begin...
Lord Angmar
Angmar then motioned for Duff. "How may the inquisitors assist you in this mission?"
Darth Thrax
Thrax overheard the Grand Inquisitor and leaned over to hear the rest of the conversation. He wanted to get as much intel on the mission as he could before it started.
Darth Duff
Duff looked at the Grand Inquisitor, knowing he could hold nothing back from the Lord.
"You shall be doing what inquisitors do best," Duff replied
"Your objective shall be to retrieve the ships data, this contains the future path of the ship, and its past path" Duff said
Isaah
"And what of myself? How may a Prophet help in this mission?" Qel'Vos asked in a gentle, soft-spoken voice as he sat in a medium-sized chair across from Duff.
Darth Duff
"Ahhh, Qel'Vos, im surprised you have not foresaw your part in the upcoming mission, you shall serve as support for the teams and get a general feel for the mercenary vessel and the location of the mercs" Duff said
Isaah
Qel'Vos simply nodded, before turning his head to face out a small viewport, looking at the sleek metallic build of the hangar bay. Placing his hands on his lap, cupping them, right hand in left, Qel'Vos let a playful grin cross his lips as he sat, filled with eagerness.
Darth Duff
Duff looked towards the main deck, he could see a green light flashing.
"We are here" Duff exclaimed as he stood and walked towards a packet sitting on a near bye table
"We are here, i didn't realize we had taken off yet" Marix said in wonderment.
"This ship is more special than you know" Duff replied as he rallied the troops to head towards the docking hatch
Supreme Commander Alor
Maarix got up and followed the Sith out. They walked out into a huge hangar bay.
'This must be the Bespin Sunset', he thought to himself.
He sidled over to Acrimonus and followed him. He believed that since Acrimonus was the Commander on board, he would most likely be headed to the bridge, where Marix also believed that he was to be stationed.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
"Lord Qel'Vos," Tarna said to the Prophet, "should you discover the location of the lead mercanary - please inform me. My task is to eliminate him...or her."
Darth Duff
"Indeed Qel'Vos, i would also like to know of any developments" The sith said as he hung behind all the other sith
Duff stayed on his own vessel while the other sith advanced...
"I shall stay on-board, call if you need me." Duff shouted at the sith
The military group led by Commander Acrimonus headed towards the blast doors separating the hanger from the bridge. Marix and Taki followed, while the other sith waited for the path to be cleared....
[Ok This is it, the first bit of action, You can either chose the stealthy option and infiltrate the deck using the force and silently killing all the mercs through it, or the more physical option, using lightsabers to blast through the doors and slaughtering all the mercs]
Sovereign Defender Tarna
"How should we do this, gentlemen? I say we rush in and slaughter the scum. They don't know stealth, we should give them a taste of their own medicine." Tarna grinned a very evil grin.
High Defender Adenn
Taki stood at the blast doors, both of his sabers egnited. "Lets get this over with, my promotion is to be held as he return." He said looking to the Executor. "Lets kill them and be done with it." He said as he walked twords the blast doors.
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus was uneasy. Duff's ship was advanced, but to have no security in the hanger at all? He motioned for the other Sith to take positions either side each door. Tarna - lightsaber drawn and eager - stood closest by.
"First through once I've cut through the doors?"
Tarna nodded, and ignited the blade. Taki and Marix held theirs at the ready as well, prepared to move in to back up Tarna. Igniting his own blade, Acrimonus plunged his blade into the seal between the blast doors. The metal began to glow white hot, molten slag falling from the door. Once the blade was through he spun it counter clockwise, and gave a small force push, knocking the centre area from the door.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna jumped through what was once a door. As he ran, he screamed as loud as he could to intimidate the mercs. He slashed one's leg off, then turned and stabbed another through the forehead before they could grasp the situation. However, another two dozen mercenaries were better prepared and opened fire. Tarna had to use all his skill in blaster defense to deflect the beams. He screamed over the sounds of the blaster fire, "Move in!"
The other Sith all came into the room with sabers lit. The mercanaries all brandished vibroblades and put away their blasters. Tarna stood and laughed in the middle of the room. The mercanries simply stared at the laughing Sith. Tarna's eyes changed from brown to a bright glowing yellow as he stopped laughing. He said, in a very un-Tarna like voice, "Idiots." With those words, he charged the nearest merc and clashed blades.
Supreme Commander Alor
((wasn't i supposed to be on the bridge, oh Commander?))
Isaah
Qel'Vos, who had just entered through the molten-carved blast doors, had already dropped his shouldercape to the floor, pulled his saber from his belt, and let it's fiery blade cut through the air with brilliant white glory. With a slight nudge of his neck to the left, Qel'Vos avoided a vibroblade. Ducking under another, Qel'Vos launched himself into the air, flying over the countless dozens of mercenaries, and landing on the side opposite of his sith brotheren. With a flip of his blade, Qel'Vos sent his white saber into the nearest mercenary's torso, and, with an upward tug, ripped his saber through the being's chest, and out of his shoulder.
With a spiral to his right, Qel'Vos tapped his saber onto an oncoming vibroblade, and sent his opponent's blade right into one of his comrade's chest. Sending his foot into this man's knee, the mercenarie fell to the ground, resting on one knee. Brining his saber about, while rotating his body, Qel'Vos let his blade cut through the mercenary's neck with utter joy. As the wreckless slaughter continued, Qel'Vos disengaged his saber, and slipped out of the battlezone. Sliding himself through a small corridor, Qel'Vos quietly, and confidently, made his way into the ship, heading away, by himself, from the large party of Sith.
Darth Duff
Duff glanced at the onlooking battle, he noticed Qel'Vos slicing through the mercenaries like waiter droids in the Cantina.
"Leave some for others, Mil'Lord" Duff sniggered as he look position at the foot of the ships loading bay.
"I shall stay and protect the ship, I doubt any mercenaries will survive your onslaught" Duff laughed
Duff stayed with the ship coordinating the attack with a small number of sith from orders.
"These shall protect me" Duff joked as he downloaded the ships schematics
[The direct attack turned out correct, if stealth was used the sith would loose vital data on where the mercenaries stored their explosives....
Next Qel'Vos must follow the mercenary running towards the explosives locker, stealthily. The military must enter the barracks and slaughter the mercenaries there. Tarna must search for the lead mercenary and the inquisitors must start there task of finding the ships data....
Some more slaughtering of mercs can be done before and during this]
Isaah
With a keen eye, and a stealthy figure, Qel'Vos snuck his way through the corridors of the mercenary cruiser. His simple leather robes made him nearly invisible in the dimly lit confines of the ship. A group of mercenaries, seemingly in their early thirties, late twenties, ran, ravenously, across Qel'Vos' path. Pressing himself against the wall, his body became enshrawled in shadow as the some-five mercenaries darted past the Sith Lord, and off into a corridor to the left. Qel'Vos, who dropped himself onto the catwalk beneath him, landed with a light thud, and proceeded to follow after the young mercenaries with the upmost haste.
Chasing after the killers for hire like a cat after a pack of mice, Qel'Vos kept a fix on them through the force as they rushed from left to right, taking corridors and hidden passageways through the ship to reach their destination. Whatever they were going to was obviously important, as they'd fled the battle with the Sith to get there. As Qel'Vos rounded a corner, he heard the electronic hum of a door shooting open, then closed. He followed them in, slowly, and as the door shot open, the nimble Sith Lord launched himself into the shadows, landing with a silent roll, and kept himself crouched as he scowered the area for his targets.
Looking around the area, Qel'Vos noticed munitions: blaster rifles, fragmentation grenades, ion grenades, large cannons, boxes with various many writings and languages, battle armours, clothing, as well as large crates which seemed like they were filled with savage beasts, as they were guarded by many mercenaries, who were armed heavily. Lurking through the shadows, Qel'Vos managed to leap onto an overhead catwalk, and, keeping himself low to the railings, Qel'Vos encircled the room, overlooking the guards, mercenaries, weapons, etc., which inhabited the room's confines.
"What's that?!?!" A mercenary shouted as he came around a bend on the catwalk, standing several meters before Qel'Vos. Raising his blaster, the mercenary shot off a round towards Qel'Vos. Using the force to aid his movement, the Sith Lord bent his body around the blast, and, while grabbing onto a rail, spun himself over said rail, and descended towards the mercenaries down below, his blade, ignited, on-hand.
Darth Acrimonus
((Marix, see the discussion thread. Ships are hanging back.))
Acrimonus had watched the carnage inflicted by the other Sith - mostly Tarna and Qel'Vos - with a sense of detachment. He worked with Taki and Marix to clear a path to the main computer terminal.
"Darth Marix, see if you can get a schematic of the ship from the computer," Acrimonus ordered. "We need to locate the barracks, and eliminate anyone we find there."
Isaah
Qel'Vos flipped himself through the air, dodging a flurry of blaster bolts with his fiery white saber. As he hit the metallic framing on the ground with his feet, Qel'Vos tucked his blade in, and cut clean through a mercenary's torso. Crouching himself, as to absorb the impact of the landing, Qel'Vos tossed his saber into the mess of mercenaries, unleashing a violent tornado of white flame. As his blade was off-hand, twirling about the dozen-some mercenaries, Qel'Vos was rushed from the opposite direction.
While crouched, Qel'Vos extended his arms to their full length at his sides, at a downward angle. Instantly, twin navy-blue coloured blades shot forth from his gauntlets. Standing upright, and spinning on his heels quickly, Qel'Vos met a vibroblade with his left-handed gauntlet saber. Spinning himself inwards, and going back into a crouching position, Qel'Vos spun his right blade through the mercenary's right knee, sending him sprawling to the floor with unimaginable pain. With a quick thrust forward, Qel'Vos impaled his left blade into another's gut, before violently ripping it out, and standing to face the group who was just subject to his saber, which was comparable to a ravenous dance of deadly white light.
Disengaging his gauntlet sabers, Qel'Vos caught his spinning blade with ease, as it's grip fit perfectly in his hand. With a gentle grin, followed by a brief, maniacal chuckle, Qel'Vos proceeded to look about the room. Reaching for his COMLINK, Qel'Vos tried contacting Duff:
"What exactly am I looking for in here?" Qel'Vos questioned, his words being slightly distorted with static.
High Defender Adenn
"I will stay here with you, Executor." He said both his sabers batting away blaster fire as it came in. It was soon cut short by one of the many sith killing the mercs. "So what do we do now?" He said looking around, most of the mercs now killed.
Supreme Commander Alor
MArix walked over to the terminal and began to slice his way through the many security codes. Using the Force to help him along, he was quickly inside the data. He digested every bit of data he could, but kept a look out for the requested. HE found a schematic of the ship and memorized it. Looking for the barracks, he quickly found it. Turning back to Acrimonus, he nodded in the direction of the room and then ran off toward it. He knew Acrimonus would catch up sooner or later, so he didn't bother to slow it down.
Darth Duff
Duff turned to Taki, I should be OK here Taki. You can aid Tarna in finding the lead mercenary, sources tell me he will be holed in his quarters." Duff explained
Duff received the COMLINK message from Qel'Vos
"It should be a small detonation pack, chrome with two handles. It is not very small in size and so could easily be carried by one person. Take care however because it is highly dangerous." Duff replied
Darth Thrax
The High Inquisitor looked at the others who were already working on their task and shrugged. He strode over to the computer terminal and looked through the schematics. He kept looking for the information hardrive but it didn't seem to be there. "Commander, there doesn't seem to be an information hardrive stored on this terminal. Shall I have to use brute force for the information?" Thrax asked.
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus raised an Inquisitive eyebrow. "We can ensure that a few mercenaries are left alive - for a little while longer - should you feel it would be more efficient to question them. Would you care to accompany me to the ships barracks?"
He waited, knowing Thrax could easily obtain the ship schematic as Marix had - after all, it was one of many skills he'd been trained in - to locate the computer core. But perhaps the questioning proved more challenging.
Upon hearing Thrax's reply Acrimonus nodded in acknowledgement, then jogged off to catch up with Darth Marix.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna crept along the main hall. Whenever a mercenary tried to alert others of the Hand's prescense, Tarna simply used the Force to grasp onto their brain...and squeeze. After using this tactic on the fourth mercenary in a row, Tarna stepped over the twitching body. As he started to walk away, he got an idea.
Hand Tarna turned around and bent low over the merc. He eventually found the Rodian's datapad. Tarna skimmed through it's contents until he found a simple floor plan. Some of the areas were labeled. Then Tarna saw exactly what he was looking for. A large room was labeled, "Boss."
Tarna took out his comlink and said, "Executor. I've got the location of the leader's quarters. I'm going to go after him now. Anything last minute?"
Darth Duff
"Yes Tarna, be careful" Duff replied
"The leader is very experienced and so if assistance is required please do not hesitate to call me or any other sith for assistance" Duff explained
Sovereign Defender Tarna
"Sir, I would like to request some aid. Is it possible for Inqusitor Thrax to join me?" Tarna asked into the comlink.
Isaah
His eyes ablaze with fiery intent, Qel'Vos scowered through the room briefly, turning over crates and shelves, snickering at an occassional mercenary he found, not fully realizing how harshly he had cut them down previously. Finally, after about five or so minutes of searching, Qel'Vos found his target: a detonation pack. The chrome-plated device held two handlebars on it's sides, and a small cord hanging from the top, using this, the Sith Lord dropped it over his shoulder, and began hauling it back to the Sith.
Jumping back up to the catwalk, Qel'Vos ran swiftly, like a rabbid beast, twisting right and left with the bends of the metallic frame, then finally, jumped through a small doorway, and found himself back in the ship's corridors. Listening for the lightsabers, which had slowly begun to die off, Qel'Vos darted from one end of the catwalk to another, turned, and dashed from his position to the far end of the new catwalk. He found himself nearly going in circles, before stopping, and reaching for his COMLINK:
"What am I going to do with this thing?" Qel'Vos asked in a quiet tone over his COMLINK, hoping for a quick response from Duff.
Darth Thrax
The High Inquisitor heard Tarna over his COMLINK and picked it up. "Yes, Tarna, I will assist you. Tell me your position and I will be there shortly." Thrax replied.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
"I'm in Hallway 2699." he said into his comlink. "Get here ASAP." Tarna said crisply.
Darth Thrax
Thrax headed down a long corridor as Tarna spoke the numbers. The halls twisted and turned as Thrax tried to find Tarna. Suddenly, he halted and looked at two of the halls. "2699." Thrax read aloud. He looked back down the left corridor and got to Tarna shortly. He stopped abruptly, as he met up with Tarna. "Where to?" Thrax asked.
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus' boots squeaked softly as he came to an abrupt halt outside the barracks. Marix's left hand hovered over the door control, his right held his ignited lightsaber. Acrimonus drew his own weapon.
"What do you sense?" he asked at the emerald blade shimmered to life.
Marix closed his eyes for a moment. "Only a few minds are fully aware. The others seem to be in a light sleep. Ready to respond to their duties at a moments notice."
Marix went to open the door, then paused. "It is odd that no one has sounded any alarms yet, Commander."
"I agree," Acrimonus responded. "But we have our task. Proceed."
Marix hit the door control, and the two Sith stepped confidently into the barracks with their weapons held in high defensive positions.
Darth Duff
Duff responded to Qel'Vos over the COMLINK
"Take it to the engine room, it should not be well guarded itself but to get to it you must pass the escape pods, this route may become busy if and when the alarms are raised"
As Duff finished this sentence a loud roaring came from above, the alarms had been raised, Mercenaries everywhere were taking arms....
A voice came over the tannoy system "Good to see you Sith, earlier than expected. Hope you enjoy your stay on our ship, it may be a long one."
[All mercenaries on the ship are now prepared and heavily armed, they will all be more than a challenge. The lead mercenary is as skilled as any in the galaxy at hand to hand combat, there is also the mercenary Capitan. He is located in the barracks, he is also well skilled and will present a challenge.]
Supreme Commander Alor
As they walked into the barracks, the alarm went off. The mercs scrambled to gather their wepaons. They began to fire as the voice came across the ship. Acrimonus and MArix were blocking the shots, but there were to many. Pushed back, they now only had to defend those that came near the door. They went on killing, but once again they were overwhelmed.
They moved further out into the hallway. The mercs followed. Marix sent a thought to Acrimonus: Cover me, I am going to give them a little surprise...
As he said this, Acrimonus moved in to cover the both of them from the blaster fire. Marix levitated his saber with the force, then reached into himself. Looking outward, he created a protective coccoon around himself and Acrimonus. Right after, he created a Force reverbation and sent it flying outward to the mercs. Quickly following that was a Force lighting along the floor and middle height.
The mercs fell to the floor from the sound wave and then were shocked by the lightning. Those that survived the attack were unconcious.
"Easy enough..." he said as he turned to Acrimonus. "What now?"
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna and Thrax looked at eachother and swore. They took off down the hall. A group of eight mercenaries came out from a room. They were all heavily armed with repeating blaster rifles. Tarna said, "I'll take these four. You take those four." nodding towards four mercs on the left and right. He whipped out both yellow lightsabers and dove.
He tackled merc number One onto the ground. Merc Two tried to stab Tarna, but the Sith rolled away, causing Two to stab One.
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus marvelled at what he sensed. The alarms had gone off, but there was no sense of panic. The mercenaries were determined and confident - perhaps foolishly so - that they could repel the Sith invaders. Discipline was obviously not an issue amongst the ranks.
"I sense more heading our way, many more." Acrimonus focussed his thoughts on the more immediate area, and felt a presence stronger than all others. "Someone is still alive in there."
He stepped over the bodies into the barracks. At the other end stood the mercenary Captain. Two modified blaster pistols were strapped to his hips. On his back he carried a vibroblade - undoubtedly a cortosis alloy, or any other lightsaber resistant material - and a blaster rifle was slung over one shoulder.
The Captain's face lit up as Marix entered the room. "The legendary Sith warriors are afraid to face me alone!"
The man raised the rifle and prepared to fire. Acrimonus leapt forward, cutting through the barrel, then spinning out of reach to stand on the opposite side of the Captain.
"Impressive," the Captain commented. He drew his vibroblade. "But I have been taught to fight as well as any Sith. Certainly more than a match for both of you."
The Captain fainted towards Acrimonus, then spun on his heel and lunged at Marix...
Supreme Commander Alor
Marix was already moving by the time the Captain switched directions. He held out his hand and caught the man in a Force grip. Holding him in midair, he held his saber in the other hand, ready to block any fire. Spinning the man around, he dropped him and stood on the opposite side of Acrimonus.
The Captain got up and held his blade out in front, ready to turn off a saber that came near. Regaining his balance and sense of direction, he lunged once again at Acrimonus, while firing at Marix with a pistol he had pulled from his hip strap...
Darth Acrimonus
Acrimonus spaced his feet evenly and brought his blade up in a high guard. The Captain brought his blade down forcefully, but Acrimonus held his ground. For a long moment the pair put their weight behind their blades, trying to over power the other.
Acrimonus suddenly sidestepped out of the struggle, retreating a few paces and bringing his blade back up in a defensive position. The Captain let a few shots fire in his direction from one of his pistols, before charging again at the Commander. Acrimonus run to meet the challenge, while Marix too joined the melee...
Darth Thrax
Thrax rolled at a Merc and stabbed him through his chest. He leapt up and looked at the three other Mercs. The Mercs were keeping their distance from Thrax but also wanted to halt the threat before them. Thrax stepped over to one of the Mercs and slashed at his chest. As Thrax did this, the two other Mercs charged at him. The mercenary fell to the ground, dead, while the other ones slashed at Thrax. Thrax picked up and threw the dead Merc at one of the running Mercs, causing him to crash to the floor, while he ducked and stabbed at the other running Merc.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna did a roundhouse kick, knocking Three over. Four managed to punch Tarna in the gut. Still in pain, Tarna swung back and punched Four in the face. He then grabbed Four's head, and brought it down. At the same time, he brought his knee up as fast and hard as he could. Four's face and Tarna's knee crashed together with a deafening crack. As Four backed away with a bloody nose, Tarna took out his vibro-knife stabbed him through the back of his head.
Three and Two charged Tarna. Tarna ducked low and threw Two over his body, while kicking Three's feet out from under him. As Three was getting up, Tarna sliced his neck open with the vibro-knife. Two was running fullspeed at Tarna. Tarna threw the knife through the air, stabbing Merc Two straight in the forehead.
Darth Thrax
Thrax put his lightsabers away and walked over to Tarna. "Well, where to now?" Thrax asked. He looked at the Mercs lying on the ground and the pain that the two Sith had delivered. The rest of the Mercs would learn of their demise soon enough.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Tarna took a second to admire their work, then came back to attention. "Down this hall." he said, pointing to a wide corridor on their left. The Hand and High Inquisitor ran down the halls until they came outside a high-security door. Suddenly, the door next to them flew open as four mercs opened fire at the two Sith. Tarna shouted, "Figure out a way to open that door! I'll take care of these guys."
Darth Duff
"Clunk"
A stange noise came from the High Security door, then suddenly it just fell apart
Over the comlink duff anounced "Ive got your back from here"
Duff then disabled the security system through the system and left the ship under the guard of some left over military...
"I must get there quickly" Duff thought
Darth Thrax
Thrax nodded to Tarna and jumped over the Mercs. He slid under their blaster fire and stuck his lightsabers in the door. A Merc shot at Thrax, so he pulled one of his lightsabers out of the door and deflected the shot. He stuck his saber back in the door and turned them clockwise. He heard a click and the door blasted open. "Tarna, it's open." Thrax told Tarna over the blaster fire.
Supreme Commander Alor
Marix ran toward the Captain from behind, but the merc fired over his shoulder, forcing Marix to slow down a bit to cover himself. The merc pulled out a sound grenade, activated it and threw it near the Commander and another at Marix. He popped ear protectors into his ears and awaited the denotation. They blew up, sending out a high pitched wave of impenetrable sound. Knocking all three off their feet, Marix and Acrimonus were dazed.
Taking advantage of this, the merc pulled out a communication device and hurridly talked into it. MArix and ACrimonus rose to their respective feet and, clearing their minds, rushed at him again. As they did so, throught the door came ten more mercs, rushing to their captain's call.
Laughing, Marix said, "Look who's afraid to face us alone now..."
Turning, he began to parry the shots coming his way from the newfound targets, he only hoped that Acrimonus could do likewise...
Darth Thrax
((BUMP))
Supreme Commander Alor
((WHAT?))
Sovereign Defender Tarna
(( When you want someone to reply, you could "bump" them to bring them to attention. Thrax, I was away on vacation as I posted in Temporary Absences. ))
Tarna Force-lightning-ed the four mercs at the same time. Their screams were barely audible over the hissing and crackling of the lightning. Eventually, four smoking bodies fell to the ground. Tarna turned to Thrax. "This is it. Are you ready?" Thrax didn't answer Tarna, but kicked the door open.
Tarna took out his lightsabers. The Chief Mercenary stood up and drew a blaster pistol. Tarna shouted, "In the name of Emperor Shadow of the Fourth Sith Empire, you are under arrest!" The merc slowly put away his blaster. Just as Tarna was about to walk forward and kill him, the Merc whipped out a double-bladed sword and charged at Thrax.
Darth Thrax
((Although I meant it to everyone, I am sorry. Oh and is the Chief Merc charging at me or some other merc?))
Thrax saw the oncoming charge and ignited his sabers. The emerald and red blades clashed with the vibroblade and kept it at a safe distance. Thrax's face was unchanging as he push harder and harder onto the merc's blade, causing him to stumble backwards. Thrax de-ignited his sabers and knelt next to the merc. He grabbed him by the throat and glared into the horrified eyes of his enemy. "Tarna, what do you want me to do to this pathetic excuse for a mercenary?" Thrax asked wickedly.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
(( Chief Merc ))
Tarna bent low over the mercenary. "High Inquisitor Thrax - are you experienced in the art of...how do I say...forceful interviews?" the Hand said with a malicious grin.
Darth Duff
Duff scuttled through the corridors of the ship, passing dead mercenaries as he hunted his prey....
"I have waited a long time for this" He thought as he reached his destination
Infront of him stood Tarna, Thrax and the Chief Mercenary on his knees.
Duff slid towards him, "Where is your leader" Duff asked, knowing he would not get an answer
The mercenary simply put his head between his knees
"Then i believe my two peers here may have use for you" Duff said
Duff then proceeded to hunt the room for some sign of communication with the leader, while Tarna and Thrax moved towards the mercenary
Darth Thrax
(It's been awhile but I believe that we can revive this thread.)
Thrax nodded and looked at the Chief with a painful smile upon his face. The Chief looked down at the ground and said, "I will tell you nothing.""Or so you believe", Thrax replied forcefully. He grabbed the Mercenary by his throat and brought his face close to his. The fierce Inquisitor smirked and threw the Chief at the wall, breaking his spine. He laid on the ground in both pain and anguish and looked at the Inquisitor. Thrax kneeled next to the ground next to the dying mercenary and said, "Tell me and you will live."
Thrax could see the blood coming out of the merc's mouth as he gasped for air. "The oth- are- on the mai- de-ck." He managed to tell the Inquisitor. Thrax stood up, ignited his lightsaber, and jabbed it into the merc's chest. The Chief choked and gasped for air as Thrax twisted his saber into his chest and finally deactivated his lightsaber. He turned around and walked out into the hallway of the vessel. This is too easy, Thrax thought as he heard the Senior Mercs last gasps for air.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
(( I feel like I've been demoted. ))
Hand Tarna looked at Shadow Protector Duff who simply nodded, reading Tarna's thoughts. The Sith took out his comlink and said, "All Sith: Report to my current position for regrouping."
Darth Thrax
(I was going to wait for someone else to post, but whatever.)
Thrax waited in the narrow corridor for his Sith brethren. Moments later, he heard the shuffling of feet coming from both entrances. He saw Marix's figure appear at the end of the hallway and he checked his gear. As Marix approached, Thrax nodded and told him about what had happened. "The rest of the senior officers are on the main deck." Thrax said, his eyes turning black once again. He saw the others approach aswell as he had finished his sentence. He smiled then, as he knew the downfall of the mercenaries was at hand.
