OCC: The New Republic has began a fierce campaign against the growing Sith Empire by attacking key planets of the Sith, both strategic and iconic worlds. This campaign has brought war to even the darkest of the Sith planets and solders on both sides have seen horrors that will haunt them forever. The latest intelligence report states that there is to be an attack on the historic planet of Dromund Kaas. The most likely targets for the assaults will be Dark Force Temple , The Communications and Relay Tower, and the Dromund Kaas Military Outpost. The Dark Force is a extremely iconic building that the Prophets of the Dark Side have set up as a Church of the Dark Side chapter in the system. The Communications and Relay Tower control all the specialized comlinks on the planet and in atmosphere. The Dark Side of the Force is so present on this planet that most weapons and technology malfunction and do not work, so the Sith Empire created a specialized comlink that is controlled by the Tower to keep all the Sith in communication. A loss of that Tower would cripple the Sith defense forces organization. The large Military Outpost on Dromund Kaas is the center for the defense effort against the oncoming attack.

The Sith Empire has sent a attachment of its members to reinforce the defense force. It has sent members of all the orders, even apprentices to attack. The Sith reinforcements should be arriving very shortly after the Republic forces come out of hyperspace. All have their reasons to defend, and even die for their Emperor, and now the Sith Empire has asked you possibly make that sacrifice and join up with the reinforcements and protect Dromund Kaas. Will you?

For the most part you hardly ever know what size fleet someone is bringing in until they bring it in, especially when they are the attacker.

And I think my color is fine, just everyone realize that I am not on your side but on the opposing side. I am not RPing as Prognie, I will only RP as the opposing forces.

Prognie: I meant an estimate of their fleet. I don't want to show up with 10 ships and have them sporting a whole fleet or vice versa. To make the Rp interesting, it should n't an all out victory for one side. There should be a challenge to it...

-shrug- Ten ships would still be considered a fleet and ten capital ships would be pretty strong. The rebels aren't carrying a huge fleet especially now since this sith empire is a united empire (which means all systems and planets) so the rebels are only going to have a small armada and one of which they can't give too many ships up for. Realistically this empire would have tons and tons of ships, having ten ships as a fleet wouldn't dent the entire armada's number.

Plus, you have the ground which is easily going to be the hardest battle if you play your environment right.

I am going to say that the Empire's estimate would be 8 capital ships, but since you are in charge of the fleet, you can change that in the role-play if you like.

Vexen, that is why I am doing this. I am trying to rebuild the role-play system we used to have.

If they call for reinforcements, it depends on what system they come from. It's possible to call for reinforcements, but they wouldn't pop in quickly.

I suppose that is correct. I guess what I read did not match what is happening or what is going to happen. I thought they had already called for the rienforcements, so I though we would already be ready, but It seems it is going to start earlier in the battle than I anticipated. I guess we will have to wait until we arrive.

You are coming from Kuat to Dromund Kaas? The battle will be way over by the time any fleet would arrive from Kuat. There's no ship that could travel that distance in a day, muchless a week or more. Kuat is in the core and Dromund Kaas is in the outer rim territories, it just wouldn't work.

Sorry, I only just had enough time to get on the site for a prolonged amount.

Someone decided to do something to my comp again, so i have another virus. It is more of a nuisance than a threat though. Everytime a little window pops up saying, "you have a virus". It takes you to that a site to help you "get rid of it".

Prognie, if you could list the ships that you have i can reference them a little easier than making it up and hoping it's right. Aslo, try not to completely obliterate my fleet before reinforcements arrive. We have 30 minutes to fill up, lets keep it interesting, but not completely dominating.

Prognie and Malice's posts point us in the direction that we (Sith) outnumber the rebels. Right now, they have 15 capital ships while we have 4 capitals, a dreadnaught, and frigates.

When our main reinforcements arrive, the fleet will total 9 capital, 3 dreadnaught, and 10 frigates.

I will post and continue as normal, but even when our reinforcements arrive in 25 minutes or so, we will still be slightly outnumbered.

No superlasers malice, marix wasn't even bringing anything that large and originally what he posted was a couple of capital ships. If you have superlasers, I might as well shut off those ships now and pave your victory road myself.

I say that we call it 20 minutes are gone, and that leaves us ten minutes for a small engagement until the rest of our forces arrive.

since you are the man in charge of mission and the Church has put its faith in you for the completion of this mission, as the Highest ranking officer here, i officially place you in command of the ground forces. Matas will be your second in command, but he will take command of the troops. You will tell him where and what and he will get it done
