New Alliances

((I figure that this roleplay will do better if it is held over here rather than on the beta, so we don't have to go over to two different sites. Feel free to join when the quotes have finished. Remember this is COMPLETELY non-canon, but we are still in the realms of reality.))

Darth Celestial wrote:
The Sith had grown powerful over the past few years. Their economy a basic empire that was strong and probably everlasting. So many sith were in the empire, so many strong members, and all seemed to be well. Until a Sith went rogue.

Relak stood quietly in his chambers, reading a small novel. He slowly put the book down and stretched.  He yawned from the tiresome errands he had been doing. He sensed something was wrong though, a presence that was slowly rising. A sith of his own that was planning deception, and  the allies that followed the sith.

He didnt know that soon, sooner than expected, he would have to gather allies of his own. They would have to fight to protect the empire from an increasing threat. The deception was becoming strong within the force, and a small war may be on the rise.

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Lightyears away, Darth Crozeus stood on the bridge of a Guardian-class Star Destroyer, the Retaliator. He could feel the many subordinates scurrying about their business around him, but below in the vast hangar bay, a single freighter was docked and hundreds of elite troops were briefed on their mission. It would be very simple, but also completely shattering to the fools who dared to insult him. He grinned as a under officer approached him.

"My Lord, we are approaching the co-ordinates."

Crozeus allowed his smile to widen further. He was no Lord. But they didn't have to know that.

"Excellent. Tell the Unit they are to embark."

Those fools on Kashyyyk wouldn't know what hit them. He would remain like a shadow, until the time was right. He chuckled at his thought. An ironic title for the Emperor, when he would have to chase his own.

Crozeus returned his gaze to the forward viewport, which was suddenly blotted out by the large green Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk.

Lieutenant Anzar Fol, commannding the company of 300 men zooming rapidly towards Kashyyyk, was a very worried man. He knew he had to obey Darth Crozeus, or he would be executed, but at the same time he thought his mission was suicide.

The freighter lumbered over the treetops where the largest Imperial/Wookie liasion city was, and the pilot set the freighter down. He knew the plan off by heart, having been briefed by Crozeus himself, and by knowing exactly what was possible following the rise of Darth Caedus.

A squad of Imperial militia came out to meet the freighter, which was unscheduled. The door opened slowly and Fol stepped out, smiling. "Sorry about the un announced arrival lads, it's just..."

A volley of blaster fire ripped open the militia and the company disembarked, rapidly forming into squads and proceding to their various attack locations.

Jerina wrote:
Jerina hissed as she watched her troops falling before the Cereans. Not bearing to watch any longer, she signalled to the four men ouside and ignited her lightsaber, hurrying to the second defense line, which was already under attack.

Her arrival inspired the men and they fought on with courage, but the skill and determinatio of the Cereans was enough to break through. The defense line consisted of several raised platforms, joined by walkways. Several gun turrets were monted on each one. Behind them lay the fuel depot, and before them the landing pads. She jumped down and killed two men, before rallying the men to her and ordering a staged retreat.

Suddenly, the fuel depot exploded, tearing through her militia, and several Cereans ran into the breach. They deployed cover barriers and waited as more men came down. The anti-aircraft turbolasers also exploded, to a loud cheer. Jerina watched, helpless, as their commander signalled and a Star Destroyer came down from the atmosphere. It unleashed its huge array of guns on the forests, and bombers zipped around it, attacking any targets of oppurtunity.

Furious, Jerina hurried to a TIE Defender, booted it up and left the planet. She would need re-inforcements, and their communcations were jammed.

Crozeus laughed as he watched Kashyyyk burn. He stood an the bridge and laughed. It was so easy, he thought. If the Rebels knew how undefended some planets were...

That would all change, when HE became Emperor.

He was angry at the fact some had escaped, including Jerina, but her would deal with her later. He knew where she would go, and he would follow.

"Set course for Kuat." He ordered, still chuckling. It was time the apprentice became the master.

Jerina's Defender and a few other ships docked by the Academy on Kuat. Their un-announced arrival sparked security alerts, and she was met by armed troops, but when they saw her, they were ordered to stand down. She ignored them, leaving her men to deal with the paperwork. She had a much more important mission.

Crozeus had found some power source which made him almost unstoppable. She had to find out his weaknesses, and not even she knew of them. But she knew who did. She came to her destination in the Academy quarters and looked up at the door, thick and strong. She knocked, before projecting her voice with the Force.

"Darth Celestial, are you there?"

The Retaliator came out of hyperspace just on the outskirts of Commenor. Seconds later, the other elements of Crozeus' fleet arrived. "Captain!" Crozeus called. "Set watch patrols. Any who question us - tell them they are under the jurusdiction of a Sith Lord. I have an errand to run."

Crozeus sprinted to the hangar bay, and climbed into his personalised snubfighter, the Masar's Revenge . He zoomed towards the urban planet of Commenor, already seeking out the presence he felt.

Following purely his senses, Crozeus found himself in the cold night air of the Commenori suburbs. He looked up at the apartment buliding. This was definately the place. He entered, shivering at the cold. A receptionist, reading a datapad, stopped him.

"You can't go in, sir. Restricted access. Only twenty odd people live up here, and you sure ain't one of 'em."

Crozeus reached out and crushed the man's skull with the Force. It made a horrible splintering sound as his brain came out through cracks in his head. Crozeus walked on, into a turbolift. He felt with the Force and chose the 21st floor.

He came out, moving to room 2103. He opened it with the Force and came face to face with a Nautolan, who held a pink saber glowing in his hand.

Crozeus grinned. "Samuel. It's been a while."

Darth Celestial wrote:
Relak recieved the urgent call on his comlink. It seemed as if Jerina was in trouble, or was going to be. What had lead her to be in such a rushed modd, because her tone was rushed. "Jerina? Yes?"

He already knew what it was, but the apprentice had to answer, just so he could be sure. The war was about to begin, his own apprentice, Crozeus the head.

Jerina wrote:
"Oh Relak, thank Shadow!" Jerina had been waiting for about 20 minutes outside Celestial's chambers. "He's done it. He's snapped and attacked Kashyyyk. We couldn't hold them." Jerina fought back a sob. "The trees were burning Relak. The Wookiees were burning too. It was so... awful. And..." Jerina thought for a moment. The Inquisitors would obviously be listening in to the communication. But maybe that was a good thing. They could help. "I need to know..." She took a deep, shuddering breath. "I need to know how to kill Darth Crozeus."

With the words out she felt light, and sick inside. Unable to control herslef, she leaned over and retched, but there was nothing. "Please," she sobbed. "Come to your quarters." She clicked her com-link off and slumped down, her head between her knees, her hair spilling out around her arms, weeping quietly.

Samuel wrote:
Samuel grinned as he looked at his friend. "It's been far to long. Please, come in. Would you like anything to drink? Sam asked.

"No, I need to talk to you about the operation." Crozeus replied.

"Ah, and how is that going? I've heard a few things about Kashyyyk." Sam said, grinning as he thought about the destruction taking place as he spoke.

Darth Crozeus wrote:
"Well, Jerina escaped. I sent a few after her but she was in a Defender and..."

Sam nodded knowingly.

"She's gone to Kuat. To Relak. So, I need your help. I can't take it with what I have at the moment."
Crozeus rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands. "So, who do you know who could... be persuaded to... lend me their fleet?" Crozeus grinned wickedly as he spoke. "But anyway, I want you to come with me. I'm sure I could fit you in as Grand Vizier or Darkest Knight, perhaps?"

Crozeus stood. "Talk with me on the way to the docks. I left a dead receptionist down there and I couldn't be bothered with the security cameras. I assume you have a ship?"

Samuel wrote:
"Grand Vizier? Darkest Knight? While ambition may be the ways of the Sith, I just wish to be a Sith Master. Nothing more, nothing less."

"Jerina may prove to be a problem." Sam continued "We must stop her from informing Relak. The Emperor must not find out about this! Can you give me an estimate on how powerful she is. I have some Mandalorian contacts that might "take care" of her, if you catch my drift."

As they neared the hangar bay, Sam motioned towards two ships.

"Which one would you like to travel with. The one on the right is a Firespray-31-class patrol and attack ship. Modified, of course, with enhanced cannons and a hyperdrive that makes .5 past lightspeed. The tractor beam is also enhanced." Sam continued on, bragging about his favorite ship. "I'd rather not use it, as it is my pride and joy, and any chance of it being destroyed would be very dreadful."

"And the one on the left?" Crozeus inquired.

"A Scimitar. Not the original, though. Only the force knows where that is." Sam laughed. "It is identical though, in almost every way, except for the paint job, as you can see. I had it painted completely black, except for a couple of lines of bright yellow. Now, which would you like to travel with?" Sam asked.

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Crozeus grinned. "I have my own ship. Just follow me out. Jerina will have already reached Kuat - its not too far from Kashyyyk. Tell your Mandalorians to try to bring her to me alive - her swordsmanship will be crucial to our success. If they can't, kill her." Crozeus didn't like the words, but they were necessary.  "Your ship won't get blown up. Trust me. It's up to you."

Crozeus went to his own ship, climbed in and keyed the com-link. "I'll send you the codes for my Star Destroyer - the Guardian class one."

With that he slowly arced his ship out of the atmosphere and away from Commenor, leaving Sam to follow him, just like the others did.

Samuel wrote:
Well this ought to be interesting Sam thought aloud. He chose the infiltrator. Walking up the landing ramp and into the cockpit, he sat down in the pilot's chair. He flew out beyond the atmosphere, and then keyed in the coordinates for Crozeus' Star Destroyer. After he made the jump, he brought up some of his Mandalorian friends on his holoprojector.

"I have a job for you, Cassus."

"What is it, Sam?" The Mandalorian replied.

"A girl. Jerina. In her teens or twenties. Wields a red lightsaber."

"So she's a sith." Cassus interrupted.

"No. She's a Jedi." Sam spat out the word. Sam knew it was a lie, but it would fire them up more if the target was a jedi. "She claims to be a sith, and may attack you with sith powers, but she is a phony. Disregard whatever she says. She must be captured at all costs. How many men can you gather for this?"

"30-45 of my finest men." Cassus replied proudly.

"Good. Remember though, she is powerful. I need her alive, however. Knock her unconscious, and then capture her. Use all possible restraints. Make sure there is no way she could escape. She is on Kuat right now. Oh, and kill every bystander, sith or not. I want no news of this getting out!" Sam shouted.

"As you wish. That will be 500,000 credits." Cassus smiled.

"Very well. 100,000 now, and the rest when it is done." Sam stated.

"Very well. Pleasure doing business with you." Cassus replied.

"Any day." Sam relaxed.

We may need to dispose of Relak
Sam thought to himself. If he could be turned to our side, however, he would be a very powerful ally. If we can get BOTH Jerina and Relak, than this rebellion might just succeed.

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Crozeus and Sam stood on the observation deck on the top of the Retaliator . They watched is silence as smaller Victory and Acclamator class Star Destroyers slowly manouvered into position. Crozeus' fleet numbered more than double a standard Imperial fleet. However, they were without a Super Star Destroyer, which would be vital for success. For now, they would need more allies. What would matter for now, would be to remain in secret. Sam's Mandalorians, who he trusts completely, as long as they have enough credits, would have to succeed in their mission.

Crozeus pulled his com. "Captain Farn. Prepare to jump on my command." Sam looked up inquisitively. Crozeus grinned. "I have one more stop to make. Jump in three, two..." The deckhands strapped themselves into crash chairs. Sam and Crozeus remained standing. "...one." En masse, the massive fleet jumped into hyperspace. The crewmen were slammed back into their seats, while Sam and Crozeus stood perfectly, an amused expression in their eyes.

Samuel wrote:
On the cruiser, in Crozeus' private chamber, The two discussed strategy, politics, the force and other trivial matters.

"So, I hear you were once a Jedi. Is this true?" Crozeus finally asked.

"Yes. I was right before my trials to become a Knight before I turned. As such, some of my actions are still influenced by my Jedi Training. Some would think this would make me a weak sith, but it strengthens me. I call upon both sides. You could call me grey, but I lean more towards the Sith. Dark Jedi, maybe, but I have Sith Training, so it rules that out. Anyway, what's your story? I vaguely remember you being at the Jedi Temple around the same time I left. Or something like that."

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Crozeus paused. "Yes. I was once a Jedi. I came just before you left. I was one of the best apprentices, and I was fascinated by Sith history... maybe too fascinated. I used to sneak into the archives to read about ancient Jedi and Sith. It was my one relief from all the rules and regulations. One day, my master found me. What I hated was that he didn't get angry. He confined me to my quarters. I couldn't take that. So I killed him. I don't really know how. I blacked out and when I woke his neck was broken.  The other Masters tried to clear the anger that had powered me from my mind, but it failed. They just removed my memories. I even forgot my own name. The Jedi were too "kind" to let me roam free, but no-one would train me. The others picked on me... most of them. When I got my 1 hours leave, I was, in secret, being trained by a Sith Assassin. He gave me a lightsaber and I killed him with it. Then, I left to find the Sith. I learnt all I could from them, and just as back then, I am going to kill them.

Darth Celestial wrote:
Relak, in his small militarial office on Kuat stood up. The guard walked into the room, with a blaster rifle aiming at him. Relak drew his lightsaber as the guard fired, but Relak blocked the attack and killed him with his own shot. He pulled off the helmet. This isn't my guard, and what is he? He pulled through the door to see his secretary lying dead.

He noticed a paper in her hand, a crumpled up paper that lookd as if it had been burnt, but quit shortly. He picked it up, it said Jerina is coming to see you. He thought over the name Jerina several times. He had heard of her blade skills, but never had the chance to meet her.

He pulled out his comm, he was ready to contact his old apprentice Crozeus, to see what he thought about it. For they had been reported seen together numerous times."Crozeus, how are you my old apprentice? Do you know anything about a Jerina?"

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Crozeus stopped talking. All the soldiers, Sam as well, fell silent. Crozeus slowly pulled his comm. Sam mouthed at him "how did he get the frequency?" Crozeus shrugged. "Jerina? She's my best friend. Why? What's happened?"

He slowly ran a hand through his hair. What did Relak know? Was this a genuine communication? Or was he trying to hide something? This was a dilemma. Crozeus leaned over to Sam. "Tell your Mandalorians to double time. We need to get her out of the picture." Crozeus pressed the comm to his ear, trying to drown out the sound of the massive hyperdrive engine, as he waited for Relak's response.

Darth Celestial wrote:
"Because I can feel her presence going to fade through the force, and for some reason my mind keeps coming to you. As for how I have got your frequency, a master always has his students frequency. And yes, the force told me you said that. I dont know what you are planning, but trhink it over, because I feel you may be a target. The reason I contacted you is because I was almost attacked."

He looked down into the comm. He sensed deception even that far away. He sensed the worry, and another presence far off. Jerina was coming, but with what, and what is distressing her.

Darth Crozeus wrote:
One of the officers broke into laughter and he was taken outside. Crozeus grinned, yet forced his mind to be blocked.

"Understood, I'll be careful."

Almost attacked? By whom? The Mandalorians weren't anywhere near Kuat yet. Crozeus shut off his comm. He turned to the other men with him. Momentarily, he was distracted by how funny it was for someone who was up to forty years their younger to be giving them orders. He shook it away and gave the order.

"Change course to Kuat. Send the proper codes. We are doing this right."
High Prophet Crozeus

Jerina wrote:
Jerina burst into Darth Celestial's office without knocking, ignoring the bodies of a secretary and a guard, both with blaster holes in their chests. A rather surprised guard followed her in, hand on his weapon. Jerina had been crying, and it was obvious from the streaks under her eyes where her make-up had run. She wiped her eyes and took a deep breath. Relak looked at her, his eyes showing shock, yet some measure of sympathy. She saw that he had just put his com-link away, and she recognised the frequency. She shuddered slightly.

"Don't listen to him. Please, he's gone mad. We need to stop him. You were his master, tell me how he fights. If we don't stop him... then no-one will."

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Darth Crozeus laughed as he looked at the hundreds of Star Destroyers joining his fleet. His contact had indeed kept his word. It took an hour for them to manouver into formation and Crozeus prepared to give the order.

"Sir! Look at this!"

Crozeus marched to the shouting orderly, who was pointing in shock to the RADAR screen. Hundreds, no, thousands of red blips had appeared. "What is that. Who are they!" Crozeus screamed.

"The Humbarine Sector Defense Force, sir."

"Why are they there? Humbarine was destroyed! There is no need for them!"

The orderly shrugged. "I guess Shadow anticipated something like this. I have a visual feed, if you want to see."

Crozeus breathed deeply. "Show me." The fleet was made up primarily of Imperial destroyers, and led by an Empire class one. Smaller Valiant and Keldabe cruisers moved around them. As he watched, TIE interceptors boiled out en masse and formed a protective screen. His communications officers looked to him and Crozeus sighed.

"All units. Heavy attack formation. We are going in hard. Isolate them, take out the flagship. Fight well, fight hard, and we will see Kuat."

The two fleets now faced each other. On the bridge of the Retaliator , Crozeus watched as he prepared to fight the first major engagement of his life. He wondered if the enemy had been ordered to intercept him, or if they were just doing their job. "Deploy all wings. Draw the torpedo boats away from our capital ships!" Crozeus wished he was down there with them, but he would have to command from here.

The calm of space was disrupted by the rapid explosions and flashes as the fighters enaged each other, the neat formations breaking into seperate dogfights. Crozeus would use what little of the talent of Battle Meditation he knew to inspire his men, but he would have to direct the capital ships himself.

Samuel wrote:
Sam saw the battle occurring, and decided to help.

"May I join the battle? My Sith Infiltrator should be enough to take down any fighters they send out."

Darth Crozeus wrote:
Crozeus looked to Sam.

"Of course you can. Take out that Empire class."

Crozeus watched as his destroyers slowly annhiliated the front lines of the enemy. He saw an enemy Imperial class begin firing on him and he decided to have some fun. He looked around.

"Charge?"

His weapons officer looked up. "Maximum, sir." Excellent.

"Fire the superlaser!"

The massive appendage attatched to his Destroyer slowly glowed green, then blue, then red. A green ball of energy slowly expanded at the front and the noise could be heard on the bridge. It then unleashed a green stream of energy, like a mini Death Star, wich tore through the enemy Destroyer's armour like it was paper, ignoring the shields completely. A huge gash opened and it vented atmosphere, bodies and equipment until it was torn in two. The pieces began to break down and they drifted in space, Crozeus grinned as he felt the simultaneous death of thousands.

"Move the Interdictors around them. Block off their escape. Give them escort - a lot of it. Call in the reserves, and lead me into the thick of it."

The Retaliator slowly moved into the head of the spear that was forming, consisting of about 20 other Imperial or higher class destroyers, and many more smaller ones. His own wing of TIE defenders, interceptors and bombers had given their green lights. Sam was leading them.

"Give 'em hell, lads."
