Actually, its called Belichick is a professional and has better things to do than sit around for the press to get an image of him shaking someone's hand. He has the post-game to prepare for, as well as his own analysis of the game for the next week of practice and discussion.

You've never actually seen the end of a game, have you? They get hounded by reporters and cameramen. The faster he gets off the field, the less of a chance there is of reporters getting in his way.

Yes, he could have. But he didn't have to. The only requirement is to shake hands. Its not like the other coach tried to say anything or keep Bill there any longer.
