The Mage's are the Empire's explorers and paranormal investigators. We also have the ability to terraform planets. The study of planets and species also fall under our portfolio.

Or put more simply, draw a line straight down from Ilum and one straight across from Selvaris and Aeron is roughly where they meet.
As for Kroprulu, it's roughly 6, 350, P, 450.
