High Mage Serratus
Planet: Vjun
System: Vjun systen
Sector: Auril sector
Region: Outer Rim
Moff: Darth Cruiciatus
Plantlife: Vjun has only one detectable form of plant-life, a rather delicious vegetable known as the acid-beet which is customarily served with the traditional Vjunian dish, Crepes Malreaux.
Animal life: Vjun is home to very few animals. The only two detected by this Mage were the vjun fox, a white vulpine native to the planet, and the hssiss, also known as the dark side dragon, a large reptile known for its Force-sensitivity and darkside poison. A vjun fox was captured and brought in for examination. We have concluded that it is an excellent hunter and may be used as a Force Familiar but other than that it is a relatively unexceptional animal.
Civilisation: The population of Vjun is no longer considered civilised, due to the midichlorian induced madness that sweeps the planet. Most of the tiny population dwell in ruined buildings and wallow in their own insanity, occasionally attacking the few visitors to the planet.
Resources:
- Mineral; an assessment of the soils of Vjun have revealed that they are almost 98% pure silicon. While in a subterranean tunnel, this Mage briefly noted that the walls of the tunnel seemed to be made of a different substance to the surface but was unable to take a sample as he was dealing with an issue that will be discussed later on in the report. (This issue was discussed in one of the classified sections of this report. ~ High Mage Serratus)
- Political; Vjun has little to no political influence or importance, despite having a Moff.
- Military; Vjun's fallen capital, Bitter End, is noted as being easily defended by this Mage. If it were to be cleared of its decrepit inhabitants and rebuilt, it could serve as a useful refuge for the Emperor in times of danger. Vader's old fortress, Bast Castle, is also located on Vjun. To this Mage's knowledge, it is currently being reconstructed by the Supreme Commander, Darth Marix. It would also be useful as a refuge for the Emperor.
- Cultural/historical; Despite its bleakness, Vjun has rich cultural and historical merits. The aforemention former fortress of Darth Vader, Bast Castle, is located on the planet. It is also home to the ancient home of the House Malreaux, Chateau Malreaux. Although in a state of disrepair, the Chateau was the site of a duel between Darth Tyranus and Yoda in 19 BBY. Vjun's local delicacy, the Crepes Malreaux, is also worthy of mention in cultural terms.
- Force; (Some information has been classified in this section ~ High Mage Serratus) The planet is also home to a number of hssiss which have been noted as being efficient thralls of the dark side.
Paranormal/supernatural phenomena: CLASSIFIED.
Recommended category:0
Other notes: It is recommended by this Mage that Vjun's Moff be encouraged to develop what little resources it holds. The massive amounts of silicon available on the planet could be mined and exported to other planets. It is also recommended that the Moff rid the planet of its current population and rebuild the city of Bitter End. If the city was to be renamed and rebuilt, it is possible it could attract some considerably less insane people to the planet.
Lord Aequitas
Planet: Mon Calamari (Dac)
System: Calamari system
Sector: Calamari sector
Region: Outer Rim
Moff: Dark Lord Prognie
Plantlife: Various varieties of kelp and seaweed as well as marsh plants but little else.
Animal life: Mon Calamari is home to a number of fauna, all ocean-dwelling. Among the least dangerous are khasva and the graceful Dac dolphins, which often fall prey to giant squids and krakana, terrifying beasts which are closely related to the tamer and less vicious demonsquid and keelkana. Two crustacean species, the cowell and the titan kantrey also dwell on the planet. These animals worth will be further discussed later on in the report.
Civilisation: Mon Calamari is home to a number of sentient species, the most prominent being the Mon Calamari themselves. The Mon Calamari are extremely cultured and intelligent and some of the galaxy's finest scientists, artists, musicians, writers and explorers are part of the race, as is evident by their magnificent floating cities.
The Mon Cal's ancient rivals are the Quarren, who could be called their polar opposites. As the Mon Cals are ingenuitive and progressive, the Quarren are conservative and isolationist. The Quarren dwell in underwater cities, far beneath the ocean's surface and are distrustful of outsiders, as I noted.
Of the two other sentient species of Mon Calamari, I could only encounter one, the Moappa. Believed until recent times to be primative and unintelligent, these amorphous, blob-like creatures form a massive, super-intelligent group conciousness. The Moappa dwell not in cities but simply exist. The other species, the Whaladon, has become so hunted and endangered that I was unable to locate one.
Resources:
- Mineral; the deep ocean floors of Mon Calamari are home to rich deposits of numerous metals, to numerous to mention. The ore is still in plentiful supply. Soils are also shown to be high in calcium.
- Political; Mon Colomari is a rather politically important as it is an important source of ships, from the galaxy-famous Mon Calamari Shipyards. It is also under the Moffship of a powerful member of Emperor Shadow's High Council, Dark Lord Prognie.
- Military; As mentioned, Mon Calamari is one of the galaxy's most important shipbuilding planets and this most certainly includes military vessels. The native keelkana are known to be trainable as steeds and the shells of the cowell and titan kantrey are used as armour, in both cases by the local Mon Calamari Knights.
- Cultural/historical; Mon Calamari is a planet with rich cultural and historical merits. As a site of a Clone Wars battle, its historical importance cannot be ignored. Also, the Mon Calamari have a fantastic culture, with a great deal of noted art, literature and music attributed to them.
- Force; Due to their natural telepathy, it is possible that the Moappa are inherently Force-sensitive though this has never been confirmed. The Quarren and Mon Calamari both show the normal Force-sensitivity frequencies of most races.
Paranormal/supernatural phenomena: CLASSIFIED.
Recommended category:3
Other notes: I am of the opinion that Mon Calamari, in it's present state, does not need as much attention from the Empire. While it should be high up in it's mandate, I am of the opinion and, as such will recommend, that the Moff of Mon Calamari, Moff Prognie be moved to a planet where there is much room for it to prosper. I believe he has done all he can with the planet. His careful and unique touch would be more useful and welcomed on a different planet to help it prosper to the same level as he has done to Mon Calamari.
High Mage Serratus
Planet: Aeron
System: Aeron system
Sector: Aeron Sector
Region: Unknown Regions
Moff: None as of yet.
Plantlife:*The low variety of plant life is to prevent later evolution of these species causing a Felucia-like development on Aeron whereby organisms of lower sentience could become dominant*
When planning Aeron's terraforming, it was decided to give the planet a "dominant" plant in certain categories, with some other species added for a sustainable ecosystem.
The dominant grass of Aeron is goatgrass due to its suitability for pastoral farming, with balmgrass being present in areas not devoted to agriculture.
The position of dominant tree is jointly shared by the cambylictus and oblio trees. Together they form most of the northern forests and southern jungles respectively. Both forest and jungle are also inhabited by muja fruit bushes and blumfruit trees.
In tillage farming, corn, wheat and cabbage form the main crops but this is expected to become more varied as companies and inhabitants start organising imports from their homeworlds.
The dominant algae is the bestrum algae, due to its ability to be processed into a wide variety of foods and drinks.
Animal life:*The low variety of animal life is to prevent later evolution of these species causing a Felucia-like development on Aeron whereby organisms of lower sentience could become dominant*
The dominant aerial predators are the three surviving species of thranta, imported from Bespin, and the Mandalorian shriek-hawk. Their prey include not only each other but also the vhe'viin, the forntarch and the haali.
A tribe of rancor have also been introduced to a northern mountain range.
Civilisation: As of yet, there are only four major outposts of civilisation on Aeron.
The first is the Emperor Shadow Institute of Exploration, Science and Cultural Studies/Headquarters of the Department of Training, which also serves as the sectoral headquarters of the Order of Sith Mages. It is located on Sector 001 island, relatively isolated from the rest of the planet.
The second is Sector 032 City, which has yet to be formally named. It was constructed and initially solely inhabited by Cerean refugees who were given a small settlement to help get themselves up and running after fleeing wartorn Cerea. It currently holds a population of approximately 380, 000, after some residents chose to move there from Trescendo City. It is located on the coast of the largest of the two continental landmasses, 029036, which has also yet to be formally named.
The third is Sector 027 City, which has yet to be formally named. It was constructed and is mainly inhabited by Coruscanti who decided to leave the polluted ecumenopolis for a more quaint life on Aeron and payed for it with their own considerable funds. It currently holds a population of approximately 260, 000.
The fourth is Trescendo City, formerly known as Sector 034 City. It was deliberately constructed by the Empire to be the capital of Aeron and was advertised as such to attract immigrants. As of this report, the population is approximately 1, 400, 000 and rising.
Resources:
- Mineral; Aeron's minerals were heavily metamorphosed by its nuclear bombardment. We have been unable to deduce its previous composition but right now much of the crust is a unique variant of granite. The planet's soil was imported by the ton from Corellia and its sand by the ton from Vjun. Vjunian sand was previously noted to be high in silicon.
A rick pocket of damind crystals were recently found to have formed on Sector 001 Island.
- Political; Aeron has no political significance whatsoever at this time.
- Military; Aeron has yet to receive a military presence.
- Cultural/historical; Aeron is known to have contained ruins of an ancient civilisation but they appear to have been lost during the nuclear bombardment. As of this report, searches are ongoing for subterranean catacombs or other ruins that may have been buried over time.
It's current culture is mainly that of its immigrants. Sector 032 City is largely in tune with local flora and fauna and the local Cereans have imported aryx as the main transport. Sector 027 City is a more cosmopolitan area, showing a fusion of Coruscanti high class with a more quaint suburban feel. Trescendo City could arguably be compared to a pocket Coronet City, a bustling outpost of metropolitan civilsation in the middle of a natual plain.
- Force; Aeron has no Force-related resources as of yet.
Paranormal/supernatural phenomena: No paranormal or supernatural phenomena has been detected on Aeron and any preceding paranormal or supernatural phenomena was likely destroyed or at least buried by the nuclear bombardment.
Recommended category:1
Other notes: As of this report, the Order of Sith Mages officially opens Aeron to its fellow Orders, the Inquisitorius, the Church of the Dark Side, the Sith Imperial Armed Forces and the Royal Guard.
Lord Aequitas
Planet: Coruscant
System: Coruscant System
Sector: Coruscant Sector
Region: Core Worlds
Moff: Darth Acrimonus
Plantlife: Because of the urban expansion, this Mage found very little plantlife on the planet. This Mage did notice grassland around the Manarai Mountains and some weed-like flora in the slums of the city.
Animal life: Coruscant is home to a number of animals native to the planet. These include the Hawk-bat, the Spider-roach, the Duracrete worm, and the sewer-rat. Cthon were also detected in the Undercity by High Mage Serratus.
Civilisation: The population of Coruscant is extremely civilised, due to the high education, health and living standards. The population, estimated to be around one trillion, live in the various cities, each massive in size, in high rise buildings and, in some slum areas like The Works, live in small house-like structures.
Resources:
- Mineral; after assessing the soils of Coruscant that were accessible, this Mage can revealed that they the majority of its content is silica. Due to urban expansion on the planet, there is little more than 5% of surface water with approximately 29% located in polar ice caps.
- Political; Coruscant has major political influence. Every Imperial Order has a major chapter here as well as there being many Imperial Palaces. Its history as a Political hub has carried through to its position in the Eternal Empire with the Moff and High back-up Council buildings being located here.
- Military; Coruscant is heavily defended by the Imperial Armed Forces with ship orbiting the planet at every hour. All Imperial Institutions have guards and anti-air equipment in the event of an aerial attack. The Coruscant police force is well equipped to deal with domestic problems. Some of the areas of the planet, however, like The Works, are breeding grounds for criminal organisations and this Moff noticed the lack of both Police and Military personnel.
- Cultural/historical; Historically, Coruscant is full of major landmarks from previous times dating from pre-Clone War era and beyond. These landmarks include the Galactic Museum, the former Senate Deliberation Chambers, the former Jedi Temple, Monument Plaza and the University of Coruscant. Culturally, Coruscant is full of diverse cultures that can be seen by walking through the streets. Coruscant is also home to the the Museum of Galactic Cultures which documents the cultures of the many species on the planet.
- Force; This Mage was able to detect a strong Force presence in the area of the Jedi Temple. This Mage has come to believe that this is because of the history of Force-Users in the area. The planet itself has a strong Force presence due to the abundance of Sith and/or Force Potentials on the planet.
Paranormal/supernatural phenomena: None was detected on this Moffs inspection of the planet however it may be possible that there have been some occurrences in the past and there may be some in the future.
Recommended category:3
Other notes: It is recommended by this Mage that Coruscant’s Moff look to re-introducing more flora to the planet as its numbers are dwindling. This Moff also recommends that the Coruscant Police Force look to increasing their patrols in the slum areas of the planet. Otherwise, this Moff would like to note that Coruscant is continuing it’s stance in the Empire as an important and noteworthy planet.
