Onderon's Child

Onderon's Child

This isn't the story of royalty losing power. Or the poorest boy having his wildest dreams come true. This is the story of your average everyday kid, who turns into a darkness to be reckoned with. Our story begins on Onderon one night.

Iziz, Onderon 50 ABY

-"Javan! Javan!"
-"Wha- What is it?"
-"The baby's coming, now."

These words were exchanged by Javan Saavo and his wife Artin Saavo late at night, about nine months after she found out she was pregnant.

They were your average couple. They lived in a nice house in Iziz Spaceport. They already had a daughter, Guna. She was 14 that night. Javan rushed Artin to the hospital. About four hours later, Tarna Javan Saavo had breathed his first breath.

They brought Tarna home to meet his older sister, Guna. She was overjoyed to have a little brother. Guna would tickle and do whatever she could to make her little brother laugh.

The years went by, and Tarna kept growing. He now had beautiful blond hair, and brown eyes.

Tarna would hang out with his friends at the spaceport. They heard stories their mothers would certainly dissapprove of. One day was no exception.

Iziz Spaceport, Onderon 63 ABY

Tarna and his two friends, Tylex and Freddy, were hanging out at the spaceport. They were leaning against the wall, hoping it would be an exciting day. Sure enough, when two pilots talked to each other, it became one of those stories Artin would greatly dissapprove of.

-"You heard the rumors going around?"
-"That depends. I've heard a Hutt's load of rumors today."
-"The ones about.." the man leaned in as if he didn't want to be heard. He wispered in the Twi'lek's ear. Lucky for the boys, the Twi'lek was anything but discreet
-"Oh. The ones about The Sith coming back. Those schutta wouldn't dare come back. That Skyrunner guy ain't dead yet, so them Sith ain't back yet." Tarna headed home, for he was sure his mother would be cooking dinner soon.

Saavo home, Onderon 63 ABY

He entered the home and indeed smelled his mother’s great cooking. The young boy wondered who the “sith” were. And who was Skyrunnner? Tarna sat down at the table at turned to his mother at the stove.

-“Mom?”
-“Yes Tarna?”
-“What’s a sith?”

And with those words, his mother shuddered. She whipped around and gave Tarna that look that meant he was in trouble. “Were you hanging out at the spaceport again?!” “Well…..” “Tarna Javan Saavo! How many times have I told you not to go there?” Tarna didn’t see why she cared, but he still wanted answers. “Sorry, mom. It won’t happen again. But, what’s a sith?” His mother put down her cooking utensils, removed her apron, and sat down across from her son.

“You know who the Jedi are, right?” Tarna nodded his head, knowing that he would get the answers he was looking for. “Well, the Jedi are defenders of peace and harmony. But the Jedi, just like everybody else, had enemies. Thousands of years ago, some Jedi went bad. They used their powers for bad, evil things. They left and called themselves The Sith Lords. The Sith attacked the Old Republic. But, the Jedi defeated them. The Sith came back every so often, destroying worlds and hurting billions of people. But then, they disappeared for a while. Everybody, including the Jedi, thought the Sith were gone for good. About seventy years ago, the Old Republic fought in The Clone Wars. The Jedi Knights led the Republic’s forces against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, or the Seperatists. At the end of the war, the Republic troops killed all the Jedi. They did that because Supreme Chancellor Palpatine lied and said he was attacked by Jedi. But, we learned not to long ago, that Palpatine was a Sith Lord.” At that, Tarna’s eyes became wide. “He declared himself Emperor, and the Galaxy was plunged into darkness. But, thirty years ago, the Rebel Alliance destroyed the evil Empire, and the Sith. And now, we are ruled by a senate again.”

Tarna was amazed. The Sith Lords had ruled the galaxy! But he still had questions “Mom, who is Skyrunner?” At that, Artin Saavo laughed. “I was waiting for you to ask that. I think you mean Luke Skywalker, currently the leader of the Jedi. He was the one who killed Emperor Palpatine. But, he had help. If you learn nothing from what I’m about to tell you, remember this Tarna: Nobody is above redemption.” Tarna nodded, and payed close attention. “The Emperor had an apprentice, who he taught all his evil Sith ways to. His name was Darth Vader. Vader helped destroy the Jedi at the end of The Clone Wars. But Darth Vader, the Sith Lord’s right hand man, was also Luke Skywalker’s father.” Tarna imagined his father being a Sith Lord. It didn’t seem to fit his personality. “Luke saved his father from The Emperor. Vader killed his old master. And after that, the New Republic was built, and the Sith were destroyed.”

Tarna let this all sink in as his mother got back to cooking. “But, the pilot said he heard rumors of The Sith coming back, and the other guy said as long as Skywalker’s around, they wouldn’t.” His mother turned to Tarna and said “If those Sith decide to come back while Luke Skywalker is alive, it’s their funeral.”

Javan Saavo walked in the door a few minutes later. He was very pale. He looked at Artin and said “Artin, can you come outside dear?” “What’s wrong?” asked his wife.

"We have to leave. Now."

Chapter II: Destiny's Way

Javan Saavo stood in the doorway, as pale as the snow on Rhen Var.

"What are you talking about?" asked a very confused Artin Saavo.

"I stopped at the cantina on the way home from the shop." Javan worked at the local hardware store. "I had a little too much Juma Juice. I bumped into this girl, spilling her drink all over her. The girl," Javan took a deep breath "was Jainia Zild."

Jainia Zild was the head of the local gang, The Iziz Immolaters. The Immolaters had their hands in drug dealings, prostitution, robbery, and the usual stuff. Messing with Zild made you a target in 3 seconds, dead in 30 minutes.

"And that is why we have to leave now, where's Guna?" And as if she had been waiting outside for him to ask, Guna Saavo walked into the house. Before anybody could speak she saw her father's worried face. "Dad? What is it?"

He turned to her and said "Get what you need, we're leaving." She looked like she was holding something in. She finally said "I think those Immolater guys were following me home."

Javan bolted to the window to see members of The Iziz Immolaters heading down the street. Citizens were heading to their homes. Seeing an Immolater walking around was not a good sign, let alone a dozen.

"Get out now! Go!" Javan screamed at his family. Tarna knew to run as fast as his legs could take him. He ducked out the door and turned down the street. He looked back hoping to see his family following him. Instead, he saw an Immolater boarding up his door. Tarna charged at the thug and tried to push him away, but the thug turned and punched Tarna square in the face. Tarna fell to the street, and hit his head on the stone road.

Javan Saavo was poundind on the door. Guna was crying in her mother's arms. Artin Saavo was sitting against the wall, tears streaming down her face. She knew she would die soon. Javan backed away from the door as it lit on fire. He went over and huddled with his daughter and wife. Artin said aloud "Let Tarna feel The Force. Let him be a Jedi, please." she begged. "Let him be a Jedi."

Tarna woke up to the smell of burnt wood. He was being lifted by a man. "Wh-Who are you?"

"Relax, kid. You're going to be fine. My name is Tred. I'm a Jedi."

Chapter III: Acolytes and Warriors

Sith Temple, Kroprulu 64 ABY

Tarna Saavo walked into the halls of the Sith Temple on Kroprulu. His former experience as a Jedi Padawan told him that the place was filled with darkness on an unimaginable scale. This was very good, for Tarna was tired of the Jedi's mindless ramblings. Besides; they would never let him back now.

He waited in a small line for a few minutes before having a droid shout "Next!". He walked over. "Name, sir?" the droid asked. "Tarna Saavo." "Homeworld?" "Onderon." Tarna answered various questions for a few minutes until the droid asked for a midi-chlorian count. Tarna, knowing the procedure, opened his hand for a quick blood sample. The droid did exactly as Tarna suspected and entered that into the file. "Okay, Mr. Saavo. Your dorm room is #1138 in the Northeast Corridor. You will meet your roommate there." the droid said as she handed him a room key.

Tarna followed signs for the Northeast Corridor. Finally, he found room #1138. He slid the card and opened the door. When Tarna entered, he saw the room was fairly clean. It smelled of various inscenses, leading him to believe many rituals had been performed. But, right in the middle of the room was a red body, doing push-ups at a rate beyond Tarna could do. The red teenager stood up and revealed himself to be a Zabrak.

"Hello, human. My name is Kadrian Kolar." he said. Tarna shook his hand and said "Tarna Saavo." Before Tarna could do anything else, Kadrian went over and started doing pull ups on a bar on the wall. Not long after, he began to lift weights. Kadrian never seemed to stop working out. Tarna saw an empty mattress, so he put his stuff down.

Tarna sat and talked with Kadrian as he kept working out. Tarna learned that you had to be chosen by an Acolyte or Warrior or anything above to begin training. However, the Acolytes and Warriors had to be deemed worthy. But, Kadrian told him, the Acolytes and Warriors were desperate to take anybody to climb the ranks. Tarna suggested they go to lunch.

In the main cafeteria, Tarna felt very out of place. He had bleach white hair and a Jedi's robes. However, he rarely got a second glance at him. When he pointed this out to Kadrian, the Zabrak said "That's because very few here were never Jedi. I am one of the few who has never undergone Jedi training." Kadrian pointed out the Acolytes and Warriors table. He saw the group. One Sith, however, stood out. He, if it could be assumed to be a he, was barely a person. He looked like a skeleton more than anything. Kadrian noticed Tarna's fascination and laughed. "Another newcomer distracted by Lich." Tarna turned with a puzzled look on his face. "Darth Lich. He's the skeleton guy. He's an Acolyte who trained under Darth Vexen over there." Kadrian said pointing to a Sith. Tarna never bothered looking at Vexen. I want Lich as my master.

Tarna daydreamed Emperor Darth Tarna, former apprentice to Darth Lich. "Yoohoo, human!" shouted Kadrian to convert Tarna back to real time. Tarna turned and asked "What?" "The Acolytes and Warriors are leaving. They always walk by the Adept table to see if they're interested. Look...normal." whispered Kadrian at the last second. Tarna sat up straight as the group walked past. Lich suddenly stopped. Tarna turned and said "Hello, sir. How are you, sir?" Lich ignored the question. "Your name, human?" "Tarna Saavo, sir." Tarna answered. "What path do you wish to take in the Empire?" Lich asked as he Force-pushed some Adepts over so he could sit down. Tarna quickly responded "Acolyte, sir. I've always preferred The Force. I wished to be a Consular when I was a-" Lich cut Tarna off "Do you wish to be my apprentice, young Saavo?" Tarna smiled, then quickly controlled himself "Yes, sir. It would be an honor, sir." "I must get the approval of The Council first, though." Lich turned "Looks like I won't have to wait long." said Lich as he stood up.

A group of extrmely powerful Sith walked in. Everyone in the hall stood up and applauded. Tarna quickly joined in. "See the one on the left?" said Kadrian "That's Commander Minious, Head of the Armed Forces and Second-in-command of the Empire. I've been trying to get his attention for ages now." Tarna turned and laughed, "A Lord? You must be joking. A Lord wouldn't take an apprentice. And, no offense Kadrian, but I don't think he'll take you." laughed Tarna. "You'll see." said Kadrian back. Tarna suddenly tensed as he saw Master Lich approached another Lord. "That's Supreme Prophet Shadow." whispered Kadrian. Lich spoke to Lord Shadow. Lich turned and pointed at Tarna. Tarna sat up as straight as he could. Lord Shadow turned and nodded to Lich. Shadow waved for Tarna to come over. Tarna walked over as fast as he could.

"Tarna Saavo, I hereby state you as a Sith Apprentice under Darth Lich. Darth Lich, I hereby state you as a Sith Master over Tarna Saavo." said Lord Shadow fairly quickly. Lich leaned over and whispered "Now for the fun part." Before Tarna could ask, Lord Shadow turned to the Hall and said "Let it be known by approval of myself, Supreme Prophet Shadow, that Darth Lich and Tarna Saavo are Master and Apprentice. May The Dark Side Be With You Both!" he rang out. The Hall erupted into applause. Some of the Adepts were whistling. "Does everybody get that?" Tarna asked his master, Lich. "Standard procedure. Looks like we'll have two in one day."

"Let it also be known that by approval of myself, Commander Minious, that myself and Kadrian Kolar are Master and Apprentice. May The Dark Side Be With Us Both!" shouted Commander Minious. Tarna applauded for Kadrian more than Lord Minious. Tarna returned to the table. Kadrian simply looked at him with a large grin on his face that clearly said "I told you so."

"Oh, shut up Kolar."

Chapter IV: Way of the Jedi

Jedi Temple, Bakura 63 ABY

"Hello? What-? Where am I?" Tarna Saavo's eyes were dazed and blurry.
"Relax, young one. Try and sit up." a woman's voice said.
Tarna moved himself up in the hospital-type bed. His eyes cleared. He saw a woman with brown hair in front of him. She had robes that were a light shade of tan, and a brown robe around them. Another sat in the corner. This one had black hair, and his robes were slightly darker.
"I am Jedi Master Kudo Grendi," she said, "And this is my padawan learner Tred Rednoot." she said, gesturing to the one in the corner.
"Hello there. I'm the one who found you on Onderon out side your house." he said.
The memories suddenly flooded back into Tarna's head. His father's worried face as he told of the incident in the bar, the Immolaters shoving him out of the way, and the burnt smell when he woke up.
"They burned my home. They burned my fami-" Tarna's voice stopped as the tear's flowed. Gone. Forever. He would never see his mother's face again. Gone.
"Do not dwell on the past, young one. Tell me, what is your name?" Kudo said as she wiped away Tarna's tears.
"Tarna Saavo." he whispered. He suddenly realized he had no idea where he was, so he inquired the Jedi Master.
"You're at the Jedi Temple on Bakura. You will be safe here. Few can defeat Masters Nightsaber or Shatterpoint. It would take many to take down Masters Vikro or Aldamar. And it is impossible to kill Masters Abba or Caedo." she said proudly.
"Masters who?" said a confused Tarna
"Never mind, get some sleep." she said as she and Tred moved to the door.

Jedi Council Chambers, Bakura 3 weeks later

"...and now for the matter of the young boy from Onderon." said Koras.
"He has more than sufficient midi-chlorians to be trained." the usually quiet Shatterpoint added.
"But who? Who would train him?" inquired Rive.
"What about the one who found him? The recently-Knighted Rednook, it would be fitting." said Abba.
"Rednook is not ready to take on a Padawan yet. The fact that he has been Knighted already is disturbing." added Vikro from his seat.
As Abba gave Vikro a reprimanding look, she said "Perhaps Master Grendi?"
"That would be good." said Master Caedo.
"Aye." the rest said.
"Then it is settled. Call them both to the Chambers."

"I am to train Tarna?" Kudo asked Rive just for confirmation. It was only three weeks since her last Padawan was knighted.
"Yes, is there a problem?" he responded.
"No, not at all." Kudo said as she winked at Tarna from the corner of her eye.
Tarna was very happy his Master was to be Master Grendi. He greatly enjoyed talking to her the past few weeks and looked forward to his training. His Jedi training. It began to sink in. I'm going to be a Jedi! Tarna thought.
"May The Force Be With You both!" said Master Nightsaber with a grin.
Tarna and Kudo bowed and left the room.
"Why I feel like I just damned us all?" Vikro said with the slightest hint of fear in his voice.
"Don't get your robes in a knot, Vikro. It'll be fine." said Jaden with a grin
"On that note, Council adjourned!" Abba said.

Jedi Training Rooms, 64 ABY
The blue and purple blades pierced through the air. Tarna brought his green lightsaber up to block. The Jedi Master locked her twin blades with her Padawan's single blade. She pulled her blue saber away and swept it low. Tarna jumped to avoid the blade. As he jumped, he kicked his Master right in the chest. Kudo flew back and fell to the floor.
"Master!" screamed Tarna as she lay on the ground.
"I'm alright, I'm alright." she assured the boy, "Where did you learn to do that?" she asked, her voice regaining strength.
"It just came to me now." he said as he helped her get to her feet.
"Promise me that you will never use that in combat. It is, frankly, a barbaric and cheap move." she said with worry in her voice.
"I'm sorry, Master. And I promise." Tarna said with a bowed head.
"Good. You did well for your first lightsaber duel with your new lightsaber. I noticed you seem to be using Ataru. A good form, lacking in defense, but good." she said with an approving tone.
"Master, will I ever have to fight a Sith?" Tarna suddenly asked.
"Possibly, it is the duty of a Jedi to fight evil and injustice. Since the Sith stand for those things, you will most likely meet a Sith in combat." Kudo said.
"But, what if the Sith aren't actually evil? What if the Sith just look at The Force differently? I think the Jedi need to really look at the Sith and the Dark Side. I think they, we, should try to understand the Sith. What if the Dark Side can help? What if the Dark Side can save? As you said, there are many powers the Dark Side can do and not The Light. What if one of them can aid the galaxy?" Tarna said, trying to prove his point.
"Sith helping? The Dark Side saving? These are foolish thoughts, Tarna. Never think of this again. It is pointless." Kudo said angrily
Tarna stood up and said "You're beliefs are pointless! How are the Jedi ever going to learn if they don't look around!? How will you ever serve if you don't learn?"

"I'm leaving...for Kroprulu."

Chapter V: Books, Orders, and a Dead Sith Lord

Sith Temple, Kroprulu 64 ABY

"Tarna, The Force is a wondeful and mysterious creature." Darth Lich said. Tarna stared at the powder on the ground that used to be a rock. His Master had crushed it only moments before with a slight movement of his hand.
"I see, my Master."
They both sat in the gardens of the Sith Temple. Other masters were teaching their apprentices in the garden. Other Sith were discussing events of late, others simply were meditating.
"Now, you have already told me that you wish to be an Acolyte. Which Sith Order do you wish to join?" Lich asked in his gravelly voice.
"I haven't given it much thought, Master. I thought I would have to worry about that after my training." Tarna replied.
"It helps to know so I can train you to best suit the needs of that Order." Lich said. "I think we've been here long enough. Enough training for today, I think. Head over to the library and research the Orders." Lich ordered as they both stood up.
In unison, they both bowed and said "May The Dark Side Be With You."

Sith Library, Kroprulu

Tarna entered the library. He had never been in the library before, and took a minute to look around. Tarna had always loved books, and so the shelves lined with holobooks seemed massive. He wanted to read them all. The room was lined with statues of Sith Lords, Sith Ladies, and even notorious Dark Jedi.

He saw one statue that caught his eye. A hood covered the staues head, even though the statue had a mask. On the front were belts and buckles of sorts. The Sith wore a cloak, and boots. In the hands, two lightsaber hilts. They were ornate, yet very basic.

"Darth Revan." a voice said behind him. Tarna jumped, then turned around to see a dark-skinned male in a hooded robe. "My name is Sith Researcher Basidyus, I am the caretaker of the Library. I'm assuming you didn't come just to look at statues." Basidyus said.
"I was looking for information on the Orders." Tarna said, still a bit flustered from Basidyus' sudden appearance.

Basidyus pointed him to a shelf and bid him farewell. Tarna walked over and took out a book on each of the Orders. He decided to look at the Military first. After watching a holo, he decided military work wasn't for him. Next was the Hands. The hands didn't really do much except guard the Empress, so he crossed them off his mental list. After seeing a holo made by Sith Alchemist Seti, he knew he definitly not work with potions and elixers.

Then, the two orders he was seriously considering came next. Up first, the Inquisitorius. He saw they were led by Lady Actir. Tarna read how they were the secret agents of the Empire, and how few had actually discovered them. This looked like the Order he wanted to join...until he found the Holo disc.

Tarna picked the disc up and put it into a player nearby. The picture of a man shot up. "Scion," a voice said, "the first High Inquisitor. He turned to a Grey Jedi shortly after." The holo changed to a hallway security camera. Tarna heard yelling, but could see nothing. Then, three figures came into view. Two were dragging the third one by the arms. The one being dragged kept screaming, "You can't do this! I'm more powerful than you! I am the Dark Lord Amor!! DAMN YOU ALL!!!!!!" The other voice returned "High Inquisitor Amor went insane shortly after gaining that title."

The holo switched to a hooded female. She looked around, as if checking that nobody was near. "Don't join them! You'll go insane!" The holo closed, and Tarna was left sittting there. Right...... was the only thing he could think of. He opened the book about the Prophets next. They seemed mysterious, wise, and powerful. Not to mention they all had their sanity to some degree. Tarna went into one of his many day-dreaming sequences Prophet Darth Tarna he thought.

Sith Temple- Masters Wing

Tarna knocked on the door. After some rustling inside, the door opened. Darth Lich stood in the doorway. "Yes, Tarna?" he asked. Tarna took a deep breath, then said "I'm going to join the Church of the Dark Side." Lich smiled, if he could smile it would have been called a smile "Excellent! That is the Order I plan on entering." Tarna grinned.

"I've just come to tell you that." Tarna said. Lich thought for a second, then said "No training tomorrow. Take a break. However, our meeting spot at nine the day after." Tarna bowed, then left. He walked down the halls. He noticed how much nicer, cleaner, and quieter these halls were than the Apprentice's halls.

He made a right, then another left. He walked for some time. Then, he made a left down the stairs in the main Entrance Hall. At the bottom of the stairs, he made a right into a small corridor with glass windows. At the end of the hall, he walked in. He had been in the Library only a few minutes earlier. Priest Basidyus noticed, "Back already?" he asked. "Yes. Can you show me where to find more on Darth Revan?" Tarna asked eagerly. Basidyus pointed towards the right, "Over there. Look on that fourth shelf and towards the top."

Tarna walked over. He saw the dusty cover saying "Darth Revan~ Dark Lord of the Sith 3,959 BBY-3,957 BBY" Tarna used The Force and lowered it into his hands. He walked back over towards the tables. As he walked past the desk, he showed the book to Basidyus and nodded, "Thanks." Basidyus nodded back.

Tarna sat down and began to read. He poured over information on the Star Forge. He read about the Mandalorian Wars and Revan defying the Jedi Council. He read of the Mass Shadow Generator, and the weapon's devastating effect on the world of Malachor V.

Off in the distance, the lunch bell rang. Tarna picked up his belongings, then checked the book out. Tarna read as he walked. Making his way across the Entrance Hall, he went down into the Apprentice's Wing to drop off his things before he went for lunch. As he was reading, he nearly tripped when he read about Revan's droid. He laughed hysterically. Kadrian Kolar asked what he was laughing about, so he decided to use the line.

"None of your business...meatbag."

Chapter VI:

Jedi Temple, 64 ABY
"Tarna, you're not thinking this through!" Kudo screamed. "You're just acting on impulse. Focus on what your senses tell you." she said, trying to calm her Padawan down. Tarna marched right on, heading for the roof of the Bakuran Temple.
"My senses tell me that the Jedi way is not mine. They tell me to leave you and this prison." he said defiantly. He walked up the staircase, his master in tow.
"Come on, now. We were there to save you when those people destroyed your family and your life! If you go to the Sith, you will only find pain and descruction." she said, protesting his descision. Tarna just walked on, ignoring her.

They came to the top of the Temple. Kudo stood in front of Tarna. She looked at him, then said,
"Stop. I am your Master, that means you listen to me. I say you go back downstairs and get back in that training room!" Kudo looked at him, angry. Tarna just stared at her until he heard a voice behind him.
"Master Grendi! Let him go!" said a man. Tarna and Kudo whipped around. Standing there was Tred Rednoot, formerly Kudo Grendi's Jedi Padawan. The same person who found Tarna lying outside what had been his home.

"Tred...what are you talking about?" she asked, her voice was very confused.
"He'll come back. After a few days of Sith teachings, he'll come back. If not," he started with a slight grin, "justice will catch up with him on some world."
"Tred Rednoot, I taught you better! How dare you even think of allowing a promising pupil to turn to the Sith!" she screamed angrily.
"Let his destiny unravel! You can't force him to stay here. He has to follow his own path." Tred argued.
"I refuse to believe that! I will not let him go! Tarna-?" her voice was cut short. She looked at a small black dot getting smaller and smaller in the distance. Kudo slowly turned to see Tarna's father's freighter gone.

Tred looked up at the sky, where the small freighter had just dissapeared. "I hope that you will return to us some day, young Saavo."

Bastion, 64 ABY

Tarna stepped out of Saavo's Luck. He looked around, taking in his surroundings. He walked through the streets. Tarna didn't actually know where Kroprulu was. The Jedi Masters didn't allow students to know for this exact reason. They don't want anyone to escape their grasp. Tarna thought angrily to himself.

He did not regret leaving the Jedi. Their dumb pacifist ways were weak, and foolish. Besides, the Jedi had no freedom or liberty to do what you wanted. It was always 'Follow our code, save these people, stop this fight'. It was disgusting. They might as well call themselves the 'Fairy Police'. Tarna thought to himself with a laugh.

Suddenly, a hand grabbed his shoulder. Tarna turned to see a young man, just about his age. "You, Jedi!" the teenager said.
"No, I'm not a Jedi. I used to be. But, I left their foolish ways yesterday evening." Tarna explained.
"Really?" the man said. "Good. You wouldn't happen to want to be a Sith, would you?" he said in a sales-man type voice.
"Actually, I was hoping to find Kroprulu. I'm assuming you're a Sith." Tarna said.
"My name is Praxeum." he said proudly.
"Tarna Saavo is mine." Tarna said with a grin. "Would you give me the coordinates to Kroprulu?"

Praxeum looked at him, than said "Why should I? You're nothing special. Just a Jedi run-away." he said in a mocking tone.
Tarna unclipped his lightsaber. Praxeum just took it away with The Force. Tarna bowed his head.
"I wish to learn all the power you wield. I am hard working and do not give up easily. I am strong in The Force and know some powers. However, I need to complete my training." he said.
Praxeum thought it over. Then, he took out his datapad.
"Here. Take these coordinates and put them in Saavo's Blade." Praxeum said.

Tarna looked up in astonishment. "How did you know the name of my ship?" he asked with wonder, and confusion.
"The Dark Side of The force is a powerful thing, Tarna. I look forward to seeing you on Kroprulu."
"Thank you, sir." Tarna said. He bowed, then turned around.
As Tarna was walking to his ship, he thought to himself.

This is it. I'm going to join the ranks of the Sith Lords. I will wield power that will be the bane of lives. I will learn of the Dark Side from the most feared of beings. I will bask in the same power as the greatest Lords of Darkness. What destroyed the Jedi years ago, what the Emperor used to dominate all, what every single Jedi fears...will be under my command. Tarna punched in the coordinates. His ship lifted off from Bastion, and the stars became starlines as he hurtled towards the headquarters of evil in the universe.

Kroprulu Space

He meditated on thought on his descision the entire way there. Finally, his ship pulled out of Hyperspace. Tarna contacted Space Control to see if he could land. "Freightor, you have clearance to land." Tarna hesitated. Is this really for me? Should I go back to Master Grendi? he asked himself. "Freightor, you have clearance. Take it or leave it."

Tarna stared at the planet below him. He tightened his jaw, and whispered "I'm taking it." He max-ed the throttle, and headed for the Sith Temple.
