Darth Acrimonus stood in one on the large training halls in the Sith Temple. The room was relatively empty, only a few crates and other obsticals stacked against the far wall. The rooms layout could be quickly and easily rearranged to suit a number of training scenarios.

The Sith Master stood in silence, awaiting the arrival of his Apprentice.

Phobos

His footsteps could be heard before he was seen, from the shadows the huge bulk of Phobos appeared from the shadows, his cloak billowing out behind him, he walked straight to Darth Acrimonus he bowed on one knee, took his hood down, looked up and said "What is thy bidding my Master?"

Darth Acrimonus

"I have your next mission prepared," Acrimonus said, gesturing for Phobos to rise. In his hands Acrimonus held a small droid caller. Depressing the small key on the device, three training droids ((think Greivous' bodyguards)) entered the room. The central most droid held a dual bladed training lightsaber, the droid to the right a pair of training blasters, and the final droid a single standard training lightsaber.

"I wish to see how skilled you are at lightsaber combat. Engage each of these droids, one at a time, and defeat them."

Phobos

"Yes Master"

*Phobos turned to face the first droid holding a double bladed lightsaber, Phobos dropped his cloak to the floor and took his helt from his belt, he walked forward to meet the droid, he held his hilt in both hands and bringing it down he pressed the button and the crimson blade emitted its deadly hum as it emerged from the ornate hilt, Phobos continued to drive it down towards the droid, the droid blocked with the left side of its lightsaber and spun to slash at Phobos with the right hand side, Phobos brought his blade in a horizontal swipe to meet the droids blade, the droid shudders slightly due to the force of Phobos' blow, Phobos kicked at the droids abdominal section ccausing it go backwards a few feet, Phobos continued with his assault on the droid performing a Jung into a lunge at the droid, the droid side stepped and knocked Phobos' blade away he again slashed at Phobos, but Phobos brought his saber sharply to his side and cut the droids legs off, the droid fell backwards and his lightsaber slash went harmlessly over Phobos' head, Phobos feigned a strike to the droids stomach causing it to bring its lightsaber to that area to defend itself, when it did that, Phobos jumped into the air and landed on the droids face, his weight crushed it, a faint buzzing sound came from the droid and it stopped moving.*

*Phobos walked forward some more, when a blaster bolt just missed his head, he searched for the droid with the blasters, he found him slightly to his right, Phobos started to twirl his lightsaber in great circles in front of his body deflecting the bolts back to the droid, the bolts chipped away at the droids mteal chasis, Phobos was almost right at the droid when he performed a Sai tok and cut it in half, as the top half of the droid was falling Phobos stabbed at its skull impaling it to the floor before bringing his blade back up *

*Phobos circled on the spot and saw the final droid with a single saber, it stormed forward to meet Phobos in the middle of the room, Phobos also walked forward and met the droid head on both lightsabers clashing in a fierce saber lock, Phobos was a lot stronger than this droid pushed it away easily, he moved forward slashing at the droid as he went the droid managed to keep Phobos at bay though and with a perfectly executed move the droid rolled forwrd underneath Phobos' lightsaber and slashed at his legs leaving a burn on Phobos' leg, Phobos stabbed behind hi at the droid but the droid moved away, Phobos turned on the spot to see the droid coming back at him, so Phobos held his blade tight and waited for the droid to meet him in another saber lock, which it did, Phobos let got of his lightsaber with one of his hands to grab the droids arms, holding tightly to the droids arms, Phobos bent them back slighty to move the lightsaber away from his own then with his own blade he cut off the droids arms at the elbow, the droid staggered back wards and Phobos dropped its arms onto the floor, he threw his lightsaber at the droids head, it impaled it and the droid fell to the floor, Phobos walked forward and took his blade from the droid, deactivating it he placed it back onto his belt*

Darth Acrimonus

"Very well done. Your skill with a lightsaber is far greater than I'd expected. I grant you some time to rest, while I prepare the room for your next mission."

Phobos bowed, and left, leaving Acrimonus to alter the rooms layout for the next task the Sith Master planned to set his Apprentice. When Phobos returned, the room had been reorganised into a two-story maze. Small tubes formed tunnels, and gaps between crates and platforms other holes increasing the intracacy of the rooms new layout.

Behind Acrimonus were two waste-high cages. The contents continually growled and rattled the edges of the cage, trying to escape.

"What are they?" Phobos asked curiously.

"Vornskr, from Myrkr," Acrimonus replied, "They hunt their prey using the Force. To them a Force-user appears to be their favoured prey. But these are only one small part of the task I have in mind for you."

Acrimonus handed Phobos a datapad, it's screen showing an account of a new Force technique.

Phobos

OOC:Sorry it took so long, my PC crashed with an absolute shed load of viruses, its all good though.

Phobos sat and meditated, he concentrated on the Force, he used all his will to use the Force Cloak power, he thought of nothing else but to become invisible

Darth Acrimonus

((Fair enough. Good to see it's working again))

Darth Acrimonus felt his Apprentices presence in the Force diminish to a state even he found difficult to focus on.

"Very good, Phobos," his voice echoed down from the observation booth. "I'm releasing the Vornskr."

Acrimonus watched what he was certain was his Apprentice disappearing into the maze. Pressing a key on a small remote, the Vornskr cages opened, and the pair of animals stalked out into the maze. Their heads darted back and forth, searching to pick up the 'scent' of Phobos.

"Try and evade them for as long as possible."

Phobos

*Phobos heard the clicking of the cage doors being opened, he listened as the Vornskr ploughed out.*

"Probably best I dont stay here" Phobos thought to himself

*Not breaking his concentration, Phobos got to his feet and as quietly as he could. He moved towards the nearest tube, he hid beside it while scouting the room for the Vornskr, and more effective places to stay*

*It didnt take long for Phobos to see one of the creatures, it was plodding along near to where he was. Phobos had never seen such a creature in all his years, "Foul" he thought to himself "Doesn't describe such a beast"*

*Phobos held his breath while it walked past him. For one heart stopping moment he was sure it knew he was there, it stopped and looked straight at where Phobos was sat, but it just carried on walking, Phobos let out his breath quietly, he had one more look for the other one, before moving towards the stairs for the second floor*

*Phobos walked as quickly as he could without making a sound, always looking to see where the Vornskr were, he saw one, but not the other.
He reached the stairs and climbed them still looking for the Vornskr, where was the other one?*

*Phobos reached the top and looked around again but he still couldnt find the last Vornskr, his head jerked to the left as he thought he heard something, he saw nothing but moved onwards anyway.*

*Phobos found the largest tube that he could and taking one last look, around the Vornskr he had already seen was still on the first floor, still no sign of the other one, he crawled into the tube with his head down.*

*He was fully concealed in the tube, when he brought his head up, and found himself staring straight into the eyes of the last Vornskr, he opened his mouth but stopped the cry of shock before it came out.
He stared straight into the eyes of the Vornskr, he couldnt see his own reflection which was good, that meant the Vornskr couldnt see him either.
Phobos backed out of the tube as quietly as possible, the Vornskr walked forward towards him, so Phobos backed out even more quickly*

*He managed to get out he straightened up and took a step backwards, panicing as his foot hit something behind him, he realised he was falling, he hit the floor with a loud bang, the Vornskr roared and jumped at Phobos. The Vornskr could see him, Phobos rolled to the side and took a swipe at the Vornskr with one of his massive fists knocking it out cold.
The other Vornskr roared as well and Phobos could hear it searching for him*

*Phobos concentrated on concealing himself again, he thought harder than before.
The Vornskr came pounding up the stairs and looked at his knocked out companion on the floor right next to Phobos. But he didnt see Phobos, so Phobos moved slightly to the side and waited.*

*The Vornskr slowly walked over to his companion, unware of Phobos' presence. Phobos watched as it got closer to him, it bent its head slightly and sniffed at the Vornskr lying on the floor.
Phobos took his chance and lashed out at the Vornskr with his fists, it fell to the floor knocked out cold like its companion*

Darth Acrimonus

((A big improvement with the post. The gaps and punctuation made it that much easier to read. Events flow nicely, and it is easy to 'witness' events as they're happening.))

"Excellent." Darth Acrimonus stepped through the doorway into the training hall, having left the observation booth as soon as he had witness Phobos rendering the second Vornskr unconcious.

"You maintained a good deal of control over the illusion even in the face of your enemy. In time the technique will become easier, and you'll be able to devote less of your concentration to creating the illusion. Your fall could have been a costly mistake, but you compensated for it well.

"The restraint you showed by knocking the Vornskr unconcious, rather than killing them, is to be applauded. Any fool with a blaster or a vibroblade can kill, but a Sith must know when it is appropriate to kill. After all, there are a number of fates far worse than death."

Darth Acrimonus looked over the two unconcious Vornskr, then back to his Apprentice. "You've done well with your training. I have one final mission for you. I would like for you to duel with another Sith of equal or higher rank than yourself. You needn't win, simply see the duel through to completion and report back to me."

Acrimonus waited to see if Phobos had any questions, before proceeding to move the unconcious Vornskr back into their cages.

Phobos

*Phobos walked back in to the room, by now it was conmpletley cleared of the cages and obstacles from earlier, he looked around for a moment.*

*There shrouded in darkness was Darth Acrimonious, Phobos walked over to his master and bowed on one knee*

"Master I have dueled with High Prophet Divious, as you requested I am reporting back"

Darth Acrimonus

"Rise, Phobos," Acrimonus said softly. "You've done well. Your duel was a testament to your skill with a lightsaber, I feel you will become a great Sith."

Acrimonus bowed his head before Phobos. "If there is anything you feel I have not covered, or any additional training you require, speak now. Otherwise I think you're ready to face the trials to Knighthood."

Phobos

"Thank you Master, if you feel I am ready to undergo the trials, then I believe Iam too."

Darth Acrimonus

"Very well. Report to the Promotion's hall to begin your trial."
