High Inquisitor Gra'tua
|
Poseanye KamariaThe High Inquisitor had been sitting in his office for sometime before a small droid had entered and given him a letter. It was a formality that Gra'tua liked to use.
As the amphibian unfolded the parchement he could see a name appearing, the name of his new apprentice. He folded the letter and threw it to the flame of his small fire place that kept his office slightly warmer than the outside hall.
He rose quickly and left the office, his long black cloak dragging behind him. As he exited the room he made sure it was secure and continued down the hall.
Soon he found himself in front of the training grounds where his apprentice should have been waiting. He looked around for a moment before feeling her presence in the force. As he detected her whereabouts he simply stood within the grounds awaiting her approach.

Poseanye quietly entered the training ground. High Inquisitor Gra'tua was waiting for her. She approached him and stood a distance away. Master I have come as you called. She bowed her head with respect, awaiting his response.

Gra'tua nodded, his tendrils falling slightly forward in the motion. "Before we begin I would like to know where your strengths lay. Whether they be in force or lightsaber combat. Also what are your goals within this Empire?"
He asked these questions in short clean verses, a slight amphibious tone came to his voice as well. He stared into his Apprentices eyes coldly, trying to peer into her soul, figuring her out. His gaze was as dark as the spheres that peered into her.

Poseanye looked back at her Master, then spoke. "I am better at using the force than I am at combat. I like combat though. Using the force to kill is sterile. You don't get to feel the life leaving them. But in combat you do. I enjoy feeling my opponent die, the last gasps coming in shudders."
"I am interested in several things. The Inquisitorius for one. I would like to learn stealth and interrogation. My second choice would be the Church."
She iinished speaking in her usual clipped tones and stood silently awaiting for his response.

Gra'tua looked her up and down quickly, his head-tails falling to the front of his chest. "Then we shall train you to be more proficient in your weapon combat, we shall touch on the force, but not a great deal. If you are as you say better with it, then you may learn the rest as you raise in rank."
His attention was then caught again when she told her interest in the Inquisitorius, the part about the church kind of faded away in its wake. "The Inquisitorius is a difficult faction, but it is rewarding all the same. It has been a while since their has been one interested in it. If you do choose to follow the path, I will let you know now, the training is difficult and mind bending, but if you succeed you will be an asset to the Empire."
Gra'tua then turned and entered the training ground, they would begin immediately. Any time that could be used would be.

Poseanye followed the High Inquisitor at a respectful distance. She spoke as she walked behind him. "I have heard that the way of the Inquisitorisu is difficult to master and harder to endure. I hope to learn the way and be the asset you speak of. Would you tell me a bit about the Order Master?"
Her step had a spring to it, and her words were full of entusiasm.

Gra'tua nodded as they walked. She was interested in the Order, that was good. "What do you wish to know?" Gra'tua only told what needed to be told. Nothing more nothing less. It was a learned habit, the less you said the less chance you had of giving something away.

I am interested in knowing what the training involves. Exactly what work the Inquisitors are involved in? How long does it take to become a fully trained Inquisitor? How difficult is it to rise in the ranks? Those are just a few of my questions.

Gra'tua nodded, this time taking his tendrils and pulling them back and binded them together like a big pony tail. He had wrapped them with a bantha leather strap. As he finished he lowered his arms and looked her in the eyes, this black spheres piercing her again. "The training consists of stealth, interrogation, and intelligence gathering. The training you reiceve in your apprenticeship should be sufficient for battle."
The green being took a moment for the apprentice to retrieve the information and process it before continuing. "The Inquisitors are a group of Intelligence agents. We are also known as truth officers. We gather information and complete assassination on vital targets that are deemed to dangerous to be kept alive. We also interrogate any prisoner that is brought into the Empire."
Gra'tua, again took another moment for the information to be processed before continuing. He speech was short, clean, and crisp. "Becoming a fully trained Inquisitor depends on the body attempting to make it within the Inquisitorius. Rising in the ranks is the same. One that puts forth more effort is likely to exceed over those who has little faith in themselves. Is there anything else you wish to know?"
At the end his gazed had not shifted once. His attention was with her, not those who may have entered around him.
