I need someone to duel Rachk for his Army training.
You can use any weapon, but Rachk cannot use a lightsaber. He must survive for ten minutes, and after the ten minutes you may choose to end the duel.
It will take place on Bespin, on a floating platform owned by the Military.
Darth Rachk
I will use my scythes?
Supreme Commander Alor
It cannot be a lightsaber. That is the only rule on weapons.
Darth Rachk
Okay, then my weapons are settled.
High Mage Serratus
I would be delighted to duel Private Rachk.
Darth Rachk
[so are we starting now?]
High Mage Serratus
[[Assuming the Supreme Commander agrees and we have a GM.]]
Darth Rachk
[[Are we assuming?]]
High Mage Serratus
[[I'd rather wait for Lord Alor's approval. He may prefer if you took an opponent who has never served in the Military.]]
Supreme Commander Alor
[[It is fine. And I will GM. Thank you for waiting, High Mage.]]
High Mage Serratus
[[Forgive the inconvenience but I must finish up on the computer shortly and do not have the time to make long enough post to set the mood and scene. I shall do so tomorrow, at which point, the duel will commence.]]
Darth Rachk
Darth Rachk paced back and forth on the of the floating platform, scythe in each hand. His armor glistened in the light of the late Bespin day. His armor cast a wicked shadow upon the platform. He turned to see several ships fly bye. He walked over to the edge of the plat form and looked down as he awaited his opponent. He watched the thick, orange clouds below the habitable zone churn and swirl. It really was a beautiful sight to behold, a sight that far to many took for granted.
He heard a ship behind him, he figured it must have been Serratus. He turned around, and walked back to the center of the platform, readying himself for the battle that was soon to ensue.
High Mage Serratus
[[I do believe that I said that I was going to make the first post. But since you are so eager to begin, let us.]]
Serratus strolled up behind Rachk, who had his back turned to the High Mage, and threw a Force push at the Sith Warrior, sending the Zabrak sprawling across the platform.
"Vigilance, Darth, vigilance. Assume nothing, question everything. This is the way of the dark side."
With a wave of one hand, he dismissed the decoy ship, with the other, he lifted Rachk up on to his feet using the Force.
"Such laxness is unbecoming of a prospective Military man. From the second you stepped on this platform, my mission has been to defeat you. You should not have assumed I would wait for the duel proper to begin. Now, ready yourself. I am well-armed and -prepared. Though you may only see the lightsabers on my belt and the staves on my back, I have more weapons than you have spikes. Stand, Zabrak. On your guard."
Serratus was resplendent in shimmering-white spider silk robes, lightweight and comfortable but tougher than durasteel, for the High Mage wore them in place of armour, after being stuck in a suit for so many years, he was still not comfortable wearing even a couple of plates. His staff, Arbiter, and a gaderffii were crossed over his back and each of his many lightsabers was clipped to his belt. However, concealed within his clothing were many more tricks and, in some cases, the clothing was the trick.
Darth Rachk
[[Sorry, when I hit reply, you had not made that post]]
High Mage Serratus
[[It is of no further consequence. Reply.]]
Darth Rachk
Darth Rachk stood and faced Serratus, he twirled his scythes then lunged forward, using the force to propell him. He made several quick slashes towards his opponent, but to no avail. Rachk had to stay close to stay safe, and his weapons were useless for the most part at long range. This task was easier said than done, with each of Darth Rachk's attacks was redirected or he was pushed aside. He could tell the High Mage was holding back. Rachk was beginning to tire of this useless ordeal, although his physical stamina was yet to be affected. Rachk used his force travel to get behind Serratus, he made a slash to his back, but the blade failed to cut. Rachk cursed when he realized the danger he was still in. He darted to the left, only narrowly avoiding a counter attack. He flipped backward through the air, landing a few meters away. He then unleashed a large barrage of lightning arking towards Serratus from his finger tips.
High Mage Serratus
Rachk's games were amusing the High Mage. But while he was indeed holding back, Rachk was even more. Serratus himself was fully immersed in the dark side as he parried every attempt by the Sith Warrior to penetrate his defense, but Rachk was treading the waters of the Force, not plunging the depths of the darkness as Serratus himself was. When Rachk finally unleashed some Sith lightning, Serratus was only mildly pleased, the Zabrak was still holding back. It was time to force the anger to the surface.
Serratus caught the lighting in his hand, turning it into a crackling ball of energy with the Force before slamming it on the ground, the ensuing shockwave knocking his opponent off his feet. Serratus took Arbiter from his back and activated the discharger into the floor of the metal platform. His non-conductive boots causes Serratus to be completely immune but for the Zabrak sprawled across the platform floor, the pain would be intense as lightning surged through his body, disabling his limbs.
"You call yourself a Sith. Defy my lightning, defy the electromagnetic forces pinning you to the ground. Use the dark side and warp the very laws of physics. Rise, Zabrak, RISE!"
Darth Rachk
Darth Rachk convulsed in pain as the electricity coursed through his body. The electric current that was passing through the durasteel platform, acted as a magnet, and held his armor to the ground. He lifted up his left hand, and electricity arched from his gauntlet to the ground, it was then slammed back down to the ground. He then rolled to his stomach, using the force to push himself over. Darth Rachk tried to push himself up, but was pulled back to the torturous platform. He tried once more, then he brought his right knee up, as a support to keep him self from being pulled down again. He then brought up his left foot, and pushed his body upward. The blue-violet arks of electricity shot from plate to plate randomly on his body armor, and then to the ground and back. He turned around slowly, as he resisted being pulled back down to the ground. He took the pain and turned it in to power, he then released it in a force wave.
High Mage Serratus
[[A Sith Warrior releasing a Force pulse that can knock over a Sith Marauder? I excused the character control in your first post but I will not do so with the character control and powerplaying in this one.]]

High Mage Serratus
As the Force wave swept towards him, Serratus created a Force shield which absorbed most of the shock. However, some of the shock forced Serratus to stumble backwards a couple of steps before regaining his footing placing Arbiter across his back. With his staff safely stowed away, Serratus clapped his hands, activating the concealed collapsable blaster pistols on his wrists. He smiled at Rachk.
"Dance, boy."
Serratus started firing both pistols extremely rapidly at his Zabrak opponent's feet.
Darth Rachk
[[apologies for my deference]]
Darth Rachk easily dodged the first shot, then cart wheeled over the second, and spun to avoid another. The volley of shots continued, he was growing tired of this game. On the next shot, instead of dodging, he used the force to deflect the bolt back at Serratus. Hopefully this would give Rachk the time needed to draw close again, and get back on the offensive.
The clouds began to grow dark, and out of the corner of his eye, Rachk saw the glint of lightning and the thunder soon followed. It was a low rumbling roar, that shook the platform they stood upon. Another roll soon followed, this one from an unseen bolt.
High Mage Serratus
With a flick of his wrist, the blaster's collapsed and Serratus's rancor-tooth lightsaber flew from his belt to his hand. He caught it and deflected the blaster bolt with a flourish.
"Stop trying to defeat me, boy. You are here only to survive. Trying to best me will only result in your failure."
Serratus raised his hand and, with a killer stare in Rachk's direction, proceeded to Force choke him.
Darth Rachk
Rachk inhaled deeply before Serratus's clutch grew to tight. Were it only the inability to breathe that threatened him, Rachk would have been able to resist comfortably, but as Serratus's choke grew tighter, blood could not flow to or from his brain, and tunnel vision began to set in, and his central vision pulsed. He drew inward, he gathered all of his force energy that he could afford to spare, and released it, focusing it all on Serratus's raised hand in a hope to break free from the choke.

Serratus had not been expecting the push and though it was not enough to do more than knocking his hand aside and release Rachk, that was all the Warrior needed. Serratus drew Arbiter from his back.
"You have reached the halfway point. Things will only get more difficult from now on."
Serratus advanced on the Zabrak Sith, launching a Force push at him with each step. Slowly but surely, Serratus was pushing him towards the edge of the platform.
"The Sith do not tolerate weakness, Zabrak. Rise above your flaws. If you wish to survive the next five minutes, you must fight back. For I approach you not as Darth Serratus, but as Death."
Darth Rachk
"There comes a time in every mans life when it is wrong as well as useless to resist death, but now is not mine," Rachk replied as he drew his scythes. He put up various barriers around himself to protect himself, from the repetitive pushes coming from Serratus, he was not fully in the clear however. Although he was sheltered from most of the blasts, the energy was still powerful enough to hinder his movement. Rachk flourished his weapons before charging in to meet Serratus. In a hope to drive him back. He only had to last a little bit longer, Rachk tried to mentally recharge himself, as the second half of this battle ensued.
High Mage Serratus
Rather than be driven back, Serratus ran right at the blade-wielding Rachk and slide-kicked him at the last second, grabbing the Zabrak's leg as he fell through the air and using his own sliding momentum to toss him right back towards the edge of the platform. Once Rachk was sent flying, Serratus stood up again and dual-wielded his rancor-tooth lightsaber and his doublesaber in an incredibly unorthodox and incredibly deadly variant of Jar'Kai.
Darth Rachk
Rachk watched in amazement as Serratus wielded both the double bladed saber and the tooth hilted saber in unison. He had never seen such a thing done, in life, nor in the records. He had no idea how to defend against such a form, so he cleared his mind, and acted as the force guided him. He pulled himself up from the ledge. He ran towards Serratus, with one hand he swatted one side of the double blade away, protected by the cortosis gauntlet, and with the other parried the single blade with one of the scythes, he then leaned forward head butting Serratus. He used force travel to get to a safer distance from the High Mage.
Another bolt of lightning struck, much closer to the platform this time. The thunder violently shook the platform, unstableing it for a moment. The durasteel groaned in protest as the platform returned to a stead position.
High Mage Serratus
Serratus chuckled at Rachk's headbutt. The Zabrak had clearly not researched his opponent. The High Mage had spent his youth on Hoth wrestling full grown Wampa to the ground, he could take a headbutt from an upstart alien.
The High Mage threw his lightsabers with the Force, one curling toward's Rachk's left side, the other towards his right, then unleashed a torrent of Force lightning straight towards the Sith Warrior.
