Surely, Lord Legacy.
The Order of the Royal Guard's primary function is protection. We protect the Imperial Facilities around the universe, many of whom are often high-profile targets for Jedi insurrection and other rebellious factions. The most trusted and ready Guardsmen defend the Emperor, his family, and other high-profile personnel.
A less public purpose is to occasionally do some secretive work for the Emperor personally, which I cannot reveal much about.

How, does the Royal Guard gather its members, train them, and transport them to their needed locations? Also, in a time of war, exactly how would your role change or expand?

All training takes place here on Kuat. When training is complete, officers are sent by shuttle to their new stations.
In time of war, we would obviously boost our security measures. Tighter security, heavier manpower, things like that. As for the battlefield, some officers may be deployed but I find that highly unlikely unless the situation called for it.

I have a question. Is the title of the head of the Royal Guard a reflection of the current Emperor/Empress? For example, will it be changed to Prognie Protector when he comes to power or will it remain Shadow Protector?

The Requirements are that you be a graduated apprentice, And it would help if you have trained an Apprentice but that's about it.

The Royal Guard does protect the Emperor, in addition to other important Imperial figures, and also Imperial facilities. Once you complete training, we'd love for you to apply.

Your training is only going as slow as you take it. I post, and then you take your time to reply. If you are comparing your training to that of Phoenix or other apprentices, who have 3 pages, it is because they also reply promptly.
But since you feel that way, I will try to pick up the pace. The longer your training, the more you can learn, take advantage of it.

The "Moff Guards" are there to protect the chambers of the Moff Council, or sometimes members of the Moff Council. The "Shadow Guards" are agents of the Covert Operations office.
