Lord Aequitas

The Domain of the High Historian

-Office of the High Historian

Within the Office of the High Historian there is a door leading to the personal library of the High Historian.

The High Historian can be found here most of the time and is available to answer any questions or queries.
High Mage Serratus

Darth Serratus knocked on the door of the High Historian's office before entering.
"High Historian, may I have a moment of your time?"
Lord Aequitas

The High Historian was in his library when he heard his former apprentice call.

"Of course, I'm back here Gla- Darth Serratus. Come in, come in."

He strode out of the library and sat down in his seat and motioned for Serratus to do the same.
High Mage Serratus

Darth Serratus took a seat and noted the lack of comfort. Not because the chair itself was uncomfortable, but because his own sense of touch was being restricted by his inflamed pain sensors.
"As I mentioned during my apprenticeship, I have no knowledge of my past. Or I didn't. I have garnered information on my father. I was wondering if you may be able to cross-reference the information with your archives to discover his identity."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas nodded and took a holo-recorder. "Speak, please. Tell me what you have obtained." Before he pressed played he stared at Glathn. "You can be helped you know. But we'll discuss that another time, so, what do you know?"
High Mage Serratus

Serratus nodded.
"He is a Stennes Shifter, a Sith and a member of either House Dooku or House Tagge. Also, he may have some association with scythes or skeletons or something to that effect."
Lord Aequitas

The High Historian nodded and smiled. "You certainly narrowed it down for me. Thank you. Come, walk with me."

Aequitas placed the holo-recorder on a robotic tripod and pressed a button. He motioned for both the tripod and Darth Serratus to follow him as he stepped though the door to the library.

He walked in and relished in the scent of books and scrolls; new and old. "Serratus, do you kow what years he lived in?"
High Mage Serratus

Serratus rubbed his hair. Or rather the hair of the armour, but it was basically his hair now.
"Well, I know that I age nineteen. So he was definitely alive nineteen years ago, in 65 ABY, for me to have been concieved.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas nodded. "Ok then...well, it's hard to file a Stennes so I will look for Sith from House Dooku and Tagge who died after 65 ABY." Aequitas outstreched his hand and a huge leather bound book flew off of the top shelf. "This is House Dooku, published in....79ABY. Lets see...."

Aequitas flicked through the book..."Nope...nothing here. Your birth isnt even recorded. Don't worry, the next edition will include it."

He sighed." Where is the book on House Tagge.....and if I have one, it is at least 30 years old. Was your father in this Empire?"
High Mage Serratus

Serratus shrugged.
"I am unsure. It is possible."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas frowned. "Hmm...a Stennes...a Sith Stennes...if he was in this Empire...yes, there would be records!"

Trotting to a large case beside a window which opened out onto a balcony, Aequitas crouched down and plucked a book from it shelf. He flicked through it eagerly. Then he smiled.

"Darth Grim aka Nathaniel Tagge. Master 5th Degree and he was a Stennes. It says he has issue, but does not have a name. And the book is dated 66ABY. That is all that I have. I can root up more, if you wish?"
High Mage Serratus

Serratus chewed his cheek for a moment.
"Perhaps his Order? Or possibly known partners, as that could lead to my mother."
Lord Aequitas

The High Historian looked down. "It says issue but no partner. Sorry. Now, Darth Grim..Grim...where have I heard that..OH YES!!"

Aequitas strode over to a huge list that hang on the back wall. "Yes, yes, Darth Grim, died in 68ABY, he was a Vice-Admiral in the Navy." He looked at him. "You have Military blood in your veins."
High Mage Serratus

Serratus raised his eyebrows.
"Really, that's interesting. Vice-Admiral..."
He trailed off slightly.
"Anyway, thank you for your help. Is there anything else that may be of interest to me?"
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas shook his head as he led Serratus out of the library. "No, sorry. I'll look when I have time. I'll get in touch." Aequitas nodded ashe returned to his desk.
High Mage Serratus

Serratus bowed, as a sign of respect, not reverence.
"Thank you for your time High Historian. May we meet again in the future."
He turned and briskly exited, pondering on the curious statement that his old master had made earlier.
High Prophet Crozeus

Prophet Crozeus approached the door to the office of the High Historian. He wasn't wearing his white Prophet's robes, instead choosing a simple wollen jumper for the cold weather, and black combat trousers with polished leather boots. He stopped at the door and knocked twice, hoping the High Historian was in.

It was time he learnt about his past.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas heard the knocks at the door. He smiled slightly. Aequitas had kept 3 days a week asid for duties as High Historian and somehow people always knew to come to his office on those days. He looked up from his desk and shouted slightly "Enter". He knew who it was - he knew the Force signature.
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus entered carefully into the office, one he had not been in before. He saw the Grand Mage before him and stopped, a knot rising in his throat. He had barely even seen, let alone spoken to Aequitas since... the incident resulting in his leaving from the Church, and Crozeus didn't know if this was to do simply due to the new Grand Mage being busy, or simply because he was being avoided.

He dropped to one knee, showing the respect and courtesy any Sith Lord is worthy of, and waited permission to rise.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas looked at Crozeus before him. He had seen him a few times around the Empire, but Aequitas was either in his speeder or in the shadows. Aequitas rolled his eyes. "As much as I loved to be worshipped, Crozeus, get up you silly fool."

He got up from his desk. "I take it you want High Historian Aequitas and not Grand Mage Aequitas. Other-wise you'd have come to my other office."

He turned to a shelf behind his desk and opened a bottle of Chandrilan Bandy. "I'd offer you some but you're to young and you don't want to develop a nasty habit. I'm not addicted just....busy. I need my comforts. And, I finished about 5 minutes ago officially. So speak."
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus rose, a small smile creeping across his face. "Oh, the things I've seen... it's hard not to get through it without brandy."

He came forward, peering at the hundreds of files behind the High Historian. "Well, I came here to learn about... who I was. I want to see if there are any matches, either through facial recognition or DNA, forensics... whatever, in the years before I came here, of who I used to be. All I know is that I was a Jedi youngling at the temple on Coruscant. Can you help?"
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas relaxed in his chair. "All Jedi records would have been kept yes. However, DNA records would have been destroyed by the Jedi." He put the Brandy away. He sighed. It was a long day and he knew his apprentice would begin bothering him when he finished.

"What can you remember??"
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus sighed. "Very little. I can't remember my name. I know I was training as a Jedi Consular. I also know that the WeaponMaster, Kwai-Jin Shii, was an active council member at the time I trained there. Perhaps you can find her, find the Masters of Coruscant at the time I would have been around 10, and find the one who trained me?"
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas smiled. "Ah, it's been a long time since I heard that name." Aequitas had often met with Kwah-Jin-Shii. "Tell me Crozeus, how old are you now? Forgive me, I should know."
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus nodded, pleased that Aequitas at least knew who he was talking about. Prognie had never heard of her.

"I am 26, milord."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas stood up and scratched his head. "Hmm...as far as I know all Jedi files are classified. However, the Jedi High Council is always public knowledge and you said that she was on it...I should find this easily", he said.

He opened a book he took from the third shelf behind him. Ah yes...she served on the High Council until...8 years ago I believe. Would have made you 18, I think. And what age were you when you arrived here?"
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus nodded along, fascinated by all the information Aequitas had access to. No wonder he held so much power in the Empire.

"16, milord."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas smiled. "I do apologise with all the questions, but they are quite necessary. Can you remember anything before coming here?" Aequitas hated asking questions, but he often got people coming in asking who they were. It seemed animosity was common among Sith.
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus closed his eyes, racking his mind. He thought back to when he arrived here, the application, the offers... Aequitas himself had offered to train him. The duel with Darth Malice...

Crozeus shook his head. "I'm sorry milord, but I can't remember for the life of me. That... scum Shii wiped almost all of my memories. I can only remember when I see."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas nodded. "But you remember you were a Jedi..you are 26. You would have been brought to the Temple at..4, if Jedi custom serves me right. So, all entrants 22 years ago."

He smiled. "But then we have the problem of actually knowing which one is you. Species and Homeworld, please."
High Prophet Crozeus

"Human... and another I can't tell. Can you, like from accent or something?"

Crozeus frowned. He knew he wasn't helping the High Historian much.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas laughed. "I'm the Grand Mage. If I couldn't I should be shot. Well...let's not dwell on that matter"

He paced around the room. "Well, let's get the book of Jedi first, eh?"
High Prophet Crozeus

With a smile Crozeus followed, taking the time to browse the many titles. Aequitas had a huge variety of works. "Quite a collection," he said, half to himself.

"How you could ever find one thing amongst so many is beyond me. It must have taken years to catalogue them all."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas smiled. "Thank you, some were left from Lady Arden, others, well most, are mine. And when I was in the em...Military for that brief period, I had a lot of time."

Aequitas flicked his wrist and a book came flying into his hand. "Aha. Here we are."
High Prophet Crozeus

Ah. That period. Crozeus kept such thoughts to himself as he crossed to Aequitas to peer down at the book he had uncovered.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas suddenly remembered something and stopped himself from opening the book. He looked up and, using the force, rose Crozeus off the ground and twirled him around before placing him back on the ground. "Yes. As I expected. You're from Coruscant. I can tell from your features. Those from Coruscant, I've noticed, are slightly taller and just a wee bit darker than others. It's due to the pollution." He smiled.
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus blinked, startled. "Really? Wow. I would never have thought myself a Coruscanti. Like you, I believe."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas nodded quickly before looking away. "Coruscant was nothing to me. I was born and worked there. That's it. Nothing more."

He sat down to look at the book. "What else can you tell me."
High Prophet Crozeus

"I've pretty much told you all I know, I'm afraid..." Crozeus said, thinking. "But Coruscant... brings back some memories... I can barely tell, but I'm fairly certain I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I often wondered why so much money was in the account I stole. What families would have resided on Coruscant at the time?"
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas looked at the Prophet dryly before chuckling. "I'm sorry, did I hear that correctly? You're asking me to tell you what families lived on Coruscant 22 years ago? My dear boy, do you know the population of Coruscant?" He continued laughing as he flicked through the book.

"Well Crozeus, the year you arrived, which was when you were 4 I presume, was a slow year for the Jedi. They recieved 423 and a half people from Coruscant." He smiled for a moment before pulling a face and looking back down, "and a half? Jedi...idiots."

He stopped and leaned back in his chair. "I would have known if a Senator's son was admitted into the Temple. I'm guessing merchants, if you come from a rich family. 22 years ago there were 3 major merchants, all massive and galaxy wide. The families who owned them were very secretive and I can't remember any off hand."

He got up. "Is it possible they were merchants?"
High Prophet Crozeus

Crozeus smiled briefly. "I meant notable families. Noble bloodlines. Rich ones."

He thought to the question. "It's possible, yes, but I wouldn't know. I have little memories of my parents."
