The Lyricism of SerratusI'm the lyricist of my band Underwater Cemetery but I've been writing for years and I haven't shared my words that much. So I thought it'd be nice to post some, starting with my latest work, finished under five minutes ago.

NO its not. Scat is a type of jazz, no where near hiphop or rap.

I implied that his lyrics seemed rap-ish and compared them to being the same. It wasn't literal, i know the difference. Calm down.

The song is a fusion of scat and rock, the whole song is sung melodically, whereas rap is spoken word.

I have a YouTube but I've yet to do any recording, mainly because I can only play one instrument semi-decently, another just barely and nothing but root notes on the third. However, my band is planning on recording soon.

Modern Rap is spoken. Original rap was methodical, moreso than modern. Still not Rock or Jazz, but it had a melody.

I don't know why but it reminds me of under pressure by David Bowie and Queen, not the song itself just the bee boppedys.

Gah, I just sang The Clouds to my girlfriend and now my throat is messed up from the death growls.

Yeah, she liked it. I sang her a few of my songs. Mainly because she's the lead singer of my band and I was teaching her them. I cover the death growling and bass vocals of course.

neither do I, there really isn't much point in being drunk either. Seriously I mean why would you drink that much alchohol at one time. It's not like you drink that much soda or water all at once.
