The Official Sith Naval Training of Darth Walker

Darth Walker wrote:
Darth Walker stood in the middle of a dark room surrounded by numerous monitors blinking and showing readouts of the different ships of the Empire. She had been told to report to the Central Communicatios Platform to begin her training with the Sith Navy. A vast and empressive armada this Sith fleet is. She would be honoured to pilot a fighter or Something of the sort and lead these ships into battle. Hearing footsteps from behind her she turned around.

Commander Sol, Chief-Aide and Bodyguard to the Supreme Commander, sat in the Admiral's Chair in the CCP. Turning it, he let his gaze fall upon the young Sith before him. He watched as she turned to look upon the Lieutenant who marched in with a data-pad.
Lieutenant Garn was the Chief Training Aide to the Home Fleet, in charge of planning training sessions and running them for the Main Battle Fleet.

"Ensign Walker. I see you are intrigued by what is before you. What do you not understand about it? What instruments confuses you?" Commander Sol said in his deep voice; which seemed to fill up the entire room, drowning out the soft beeps and hums that the instruments gave off, while Lieutenant Garn passed the data-pad of the Supreme Commander's training orders to him.

Turning round once more, she looked at the man that just spoken. "Its a pleasure to meet you, sir.". He asked her if she had any questions about any of the instruments that were in the room and she began to study them. A quirky machine in the corner of the room caught her eye. She pointed as the machine gave off a loud series of beeps. "That one I'm not sure what it does but it looks like a positioning system though its nothing I have ever seen before.".

Commander Sol turned to look where she pointed and then told her what it was. "That, Ensign Walker, is the CCP Security and Power Directive. In case the base ever lost its main power, the CCPSPD keeps this room going, turns the security up to a higher setting, and also sends out a MayDay to the High Command and nearby Quick-Response Teams."

Commander Sol looked at the first item on the data-pad, then spoke again.
"Have you had any pilot training?" He asked.

Taking in what Commander Sol told her, she made a mental note of it. It was basically a genarator in case the base ever lost power. She touched the tatoo of a rose on her left arm..a reminder of her love from long ago. Darth Lithium had dissapeared shortly after her and had never returned. A hinged of sadness enveloped her but she quickly shook it off.

"Yes i have some experiance flying but that was a long time ago and it wasnt anything compared to the starships here." Her heart started to pound as she figured that she was going to be able to fly soon. That one time along time ago that she flown the getaway ship from a hiest was exillerating. She was eager to fly once more.

Commander Sol nodded at Ensign Walker's response. It was as expected from their file on her. He rose from his chair and walked over to her, placing a guiding arm behind her back, he motioned for her to exit through the doorway.

"There is someone you need to meet first. Then we will begin your pilot training. Follow me, Ensign."

Then Commander Sol, followed by Lieutenant Garn, guided Ensign Walker out of the CCP and in the general direction of the Shuttle Hangar Bay.

Tanya let the commander guide her down the hall and towards the hanger. Butterflys danced in her stomach as she inticipated flying. Wondering who and how her pilot instructor would be and act she strode with a purpose down the hall listening to the Commander spew forth random tidbits about the station.

Arriving at the Hanger bay she gasped at how huge it was. Tie Fighters, Tie Bombers littered the floors of the hanger with various workers scrambling about doing repairs.

Commander Sol let her take in the view of the Main Hangar Bay, and then continued onward towards the Shuttle Bay. When they arrived, he brought her to the correct shuttle and took the pilots chair himself, with Ensign Walker as the Co-Pilot. Making sure Ensign Walker was strapped in, Commander Sol continued the Pre-Flight Procedures where the Ready Crew had left off.

Soon the Sentinel-Class Shuttle lifted off into the darkness of space, with a heading unknown to Ensign Walker. As they continued to move out of Bastion's AirSpace, Commander Sol turned to Walker and said,

"Take the controls for a little bit, to get rid of the rust that has built up since your last time piloting. Your instructor may not be so forgiving when we arrive. Just keep to this heading," Here he paused to point at the number of the NavComp, and then continued, "And I'll take over when it is time to enter HyperSpace. Good Luck."
Darth Walker

As Commander Sol switched the controls of the shuttler to her, her heart skipped a beat. As she took the yoke in her hands she felt the vibration of the ships thrusters as she slowly banked the shuttle to the right. Letting a rare grin escape from her lips she proceded to go through the basic piloting skills. The left and right turns, braking and accelerating in and out of banked urns and what not.

After she was satisfied with how the shuttle handled she turned and said to Commander Sol, Commander, this has been a very rare oppertunity to come and learn to fly. Hopefully i can get by all the tests set foward by my instructer and prove my worth to this empire many times over. She still had control of the shuttle but she kept it on course with the coordinates that had been programed into the ships main computer.
Supreme Commander Alor

"You seem to be calmed behind the stick." Was all Commander Sol observed.
It was not he task, this time, to assess the Ensign's piloting skill. That was claimed by another. In time, he took the controls and brought the craft into HyperSpace. Exactly 4 hours later, the craft left HyperSpace, and was immediately picked up by an escort of TIE-Interceptors 2nd Generation. These fighters were equipped with shields and a slave-hyperdrive, unlike their predecessors.

Opening up the CommLink, he sent off the proper codes to gain access to the entrance lanes. Turning the craft, he began the tedious task of getting to the Shuttle Bay of the Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer.
Darth Walker

Yes i enjoy piloting very much, but rarely get the oppertunity to do so. They soon arrived at their destination to immediatly become surrounded by an escort of tie fighters. She was intrigued and amazed to see these mighty fighters in action, even if it was just escort duty. She watched Commander Sol guide the shuttle into the docking bays with effortless experiance. Jumping from her seat she was out the hatch before the shuttle had properly landed.
Supreme Commander Alor

Commander Sol brought the shuttle to a perfect landing in the Shuttle Bay. As the ramp eased down to the hangar floor, a Squad of 8 Marines with a Squad Commander. With 4 Marines on either side of the ramp, creating an aisle between them, and the Squad Commander at the end to greet them, Commander Sol and Ensign Walker made their way out of the Sentinel-Class Shuttle, and into the massive hangar-bay. They formed a protective escort and began marching in time towards the turbo-lift. Commander Sol fell right in with them as habit and training kicked in.

The lift brought them up to a lower level, from where they marched again to another lift that would take them all the way to the bridge. They exited into the bridge where at once Commander Sol stood to attention, with the entire escort.

The Admiral's Chair turned slowly, until facing them was the Supreme Commander of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces, Darth Marix. It was Darth Marix who had found Commander Sol and recognized his talent and usefullness as a former Mandalorian Warrior, and had taken him in.
"Welcome to The Darkest Night, Ensign Walker." Were his words as he nodded at Ensign Walker. Then he turned to Commander Sol,

"Well?" he asked.

"Sir, as you expected, maybe moreso, Sir."

"I see, Commander, good work. Now Ensign, tell me what you have learned so far?"
Darth Walker

As they marched through the hanger bay she gazed in marvel at its size. A hanger bay this large must mean that they were on some type of capital ship. As they reach the bridge she straightend her cloak self consiously. One of the escorts palmed the hatch and they stepped through. Standing at attention she listen to the short exchange between Commander Sol and the Supreme Commander. The Supreme Commander sked her what she has learned thus far and she replied, I belive that we are on a captial class ship and that piloting comes natural to me every time i get behind the stick Sir.
Supreme Commander Alor

"We are indeed on a Capital Ship. An Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer, the largest Capital ship. As for your piloting skills and ease, that will be seen to shortly. We will be jumping to hyperspace shortly, and heading out to a designated operations area. During that time, I suggest you ask all the questions you can think of to refresh your memory. Because once we re-enter Real Space, you are a pilot in the Sith Imperial Navy, and perfection will be expected of you. Can you give perfection?"

Was what Supreme Commander Marix said in reply. He turned to the Navigation Officer and gave the sign to begin readying for Hyper-Space travel.

"On my mark, Lieutenant. 3...2...1...Mark."

And with that, the Super star Destroyer jumped into HyperSpace. Its HyperDrive capable escorts and fighter following. Those that could not were sheltered in the giant hangar bay. They would arrive in 14 hours, at the exact same time. Precision was a great thing.
