High Prophet Crozeus
The Purges discussionSome time ago, I wrote a fanfic on another site to set out the canon for it. However, it was deleted when the site was deleted and I hadn't saved it all into Word (silly me, I know.)
So, I am intending to re-write it. Some of you have already read what was on the other site (Marix, Aequitas, Odin, Adenn, Gra'tua, Celestial, Praxeum) but what I am posting here is a request for your co-operation.
I want to use your characters in the fanfic. Chances are, your character will die in the fanfic (it is set around Shadow dieing), or they will have to do something in it they wouldn't do over here.
So if you don't want your character used, please say so here.
Will, if you have a problem with it, then just say and I won't re-write it.
Supreme Commander Alor
I liked where it was going, so by all means go ahead and rewrite it. It was a good fanfic. I wish now that I had saved a copy of it myself.
High Inquisitor Gra'tua
Go for it.
High Prophet Crozeus
You should probably know what happens to your people, Marix forms his own Empire centered around the MAZ, Bastion and Yaga Minor. Gra'tua is seen as a threat and Prognie sends people to kill him, but he escapes and goes into hiding.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
You can use me. Gra'tua the threat aye?! I never considered that.
High Prophet Crozeus
Thank you. You are a central figure, seeing as you kill Shadow and take power.
Supreme Commander Alor
Sweet. If you need info for my "empire" i have an actual empire for another site that is centered in the MAZ, Bastion, and Yaga Minor. So feel free to ask me questions if you need help getting that empire set up and stuff like that.
EDIT: I just thought of this. But this fanfic would make a great way for us to change the storyline around if we wanted to.
Lord Aequitas
I wouldn't like me used.
Well, I would as long as I'm present at Shadow's death. I wasn't at it in the original draft.
High Prophet Crozeus
Thing is, I'm only up to the battle of Bastion. Praxeum is dead, Vexen's SSD is blown up. So I would have to have the whole thing up first, and that's going to take a while. And then some.
High Mage Serratus
If this is the Purge one, keep using Serratus by all means.
High Prophet Crozeus
Yes it is, and thank you. You know what happens to him.
High Prophet Crozeus
Ok people, I posted the first chapter, rewritten tonight/this morning, here. Think of it as permenant storage.
Please please please let me know what you think. Any comments/complaints/criticisms would be greatly welcomed, even if all you are suggesting is the addition of a comma.
As I said, if you don't like what your character is doing, just say, and I won't do it.
Oh, and remember that this couldn't be more non-canon to TDSL if it tried.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
if you need help understanding what prognie would do in a situation, let me know.
High Mage Serratus
You mispelled Darth Nighthawk's name.
High Prophet Crozeus
Ok.
Oh, Chris I didn't see your post. You were there, I'll add a little thing in there.
Supreme Commander Alor
He's Chris II, btw I'm Chris I.
Lord Aequitas
"He" did not agree to anything.
I am in no way subserviant to you. You may call me "C", Ollie, or just use Aequitas.
Supreme Commander Alor
Emperor agreed to it.
Lord Aequitas
While he is Admin OOC, I do not believe he has the power to call me something OOC I do not like.
Well, he has the power, but it's against the rules.
Supreme Commander Alor
Eh. Oh well. I thought it was a good idea.
Lord Aequitas
Thank you for adding me Ollie. Continue the good work.
I like the way I go lol
Inquisitor Linex
You can use my character in the story if you want.
I ahve no problem with that.
Emperor Shadow
I read it, I'm somewhat disappointed. Shadow wouldn't die so easily... or pathetically.
However, since it's non-canon, feel free to continue. I like what I read. Seems like an interesting look into a parallel universe from our own.
High Inquisitor Gra'tua
I am a threat to Lord Prognie? Alright I guess that works haha, I wouldn't see it happening but hey its your fic.
High Prophet Crozeus
Yeah, I spent ages thinking about how to kill Shadow. What I ended up with is that he was slowly, and unknowingly, being poisoned, so that when he fell ill, his immune system was practically destroyed.
It was like killing God! But he had to die someway.
Gra'tua, Prognie becomes paranoid and thinks that EVERYONE is a threat. Nothing personal.
Oh, and | Quote: | | Chris I didn't see your post | meant Chris, I didn't see your post. Not Chris 1. Sorry for the confusion.
Yeah, Aequitas' death was one of my favourite bits too. No offense
Emperor Shadow
Shadow willing himself to die seems more in-character.
Force users are hypersensitive to poisons, remember?
High Prophet Crozeus
I know! That's why it was so difficult! I was going for the Darth Bane arrogance type. He was poisoned and didn't care, I assumed that Shadow would probably be poisoned a lot and simply resist it.
I don't really know about Shadow, you see. What I could deduce from the posts I could find, your bio and your holocron wasn't enough to build up enough of a death scene. So I made it short and quick. Praxeum's death, and Praxeum is a character I know a lot about, lasts for a whole page.
Since I put Shadow as being annoyed he couldn't finish what he wanted to, willing himself to die would be a bit over the top
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
If anything, Shadow would let himself die only if he knew there was a victory still for someone else of his choosing. Assuming there was no other way for him to win.
Emperor Shadow
Logical point, Mario.
High Prophet Crozeus
And he chose Prognie. Prognie just didn't want to wait.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Let me tell ya, I don't enjoy the prospect of Tarna dying...but if it would happen, that right there is EXACTLY how I would want it to go.
So, if in fact you did just kill Tarna,
a) I'm sad it happened so soon and I don't do anything else.
b) I'm content with his death, sacrificing himself to let Praxeum live. Perfect.
High Prophet Crozeus
Yeah, I'm sorry it had to be you Tarna, but I had to kill one Dark Lord at first, sort of to show Prognie means business. Since Praxeum is pretty influential later on, it had to be Tarna.
Don't worry, his legacy will live on.
Lord Aequitas
Yeah
I love the way he kills Aequitas it shows:
a) His loyalty to Shadow even after his death
b) His character traits
Supreme Commander Alor
Perhaps you can have Marix name a Star Destroyer after Tarna.
Tarna's Sacrifice
Tarna's Power
Steel of Bastion
Tarna Time ( )
Or even all of those. How's that Tarna? Go die to save Praxeum and get a fleet named after you.
Aequitas: Thanks for ruining the ending. jkjk It is a good death though. Seems just like Aequitas. Quiet, but powerful in its own way.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Loyalty is dumb, you sith know nothing about gaining power.
Emperor Shadow
... You needed to kill a DL after killing the most powerful Sith in the room. I'm going to dub you the Butcher of the Empire.
Supreme Commander Alor
Doesn't have a ring to it. Perhaps something a wee bit more catchy.
Emperor Shadow
Butcher of Bespin and B-lanets Beyond. Yes. That's it.
Supreme Commander Alor
Perfect!
Sovereign Defender Tarna
Crozeus, the Demon Butcher of Fleet Street?
Emperor Shadow
Too close to Sweeney.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
| Emperor Shadow wrote: | | Too close to Sweeney. |
Noticed, did you?
Emperor Shadow
A little bit.
High Prophet Crozeus
Would it be inappropriate to request a name change?
I'll write the next bit later today. I was meaning to ask, would you prefer if Aequitas didn't draw his saber at all?
Lord Aequitas
I'd prefer to show his power with the force, yes.
High Prophet Crozeus
Ok.
High Prophet Crozeus
New chapter is up. We say farewell to the Mages.
High Mage Serratus
*sniff* I'm glad to say I died a hero.
EDIT: Also, I just remembered, I'm being restored to human form in the Truth of Things RP, so strictly speaking, I shouldn't be armoured in Purges.
High Prophet Crozeus
You're just wearing body armour.
High Mage Serratus
Little out of style for Serratus but sure, I'll roll with it.
High Prophet Crozeus
Really? I would have thought he would be always wearing some kind of intricate armour of cortosis or something.
High Mage Serratus
Serratus never wore any armour until he got sealed inside a suit of it. Also, it does seem kind of odd that he'd be wearing armour at a waiting session for the Emperor's death.
High Prophet Crozeus
I'll edit that out then.
You know how supersticious Sith can be. Marix and I aren't the only Sith wearing armour.
High Mage Serratus
I guess you have a point. Either way, after being sealed inside a suit of it for over a year, I don't think Serratus will be that fond of armour.
High Prophet Crozeus
That's true.
High Mage Serratus
I already have a sig made for after the Truth of Things. I have a very nice robe. I really live up to the name "Mage" in it.
Lord Aequitas
Yeah.
I die well
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
Hey! I resent the idea that prognie isn't a tactical genius. Have you seen how I play him?
High Prophet Crozeus
I had to make Marix feel good, so he's the tactical genius. At this point, Prognie's in a state of euphoria - he's taken down pretty much anyone who would be a threat, save for Marix, and he outnumbers Marix significantly.
Supreme Commander Alor
Even though it does make me feel good, it is true.
I am the Supreme Commander. I didn't get there by being a horrible tactician, strategist, and commander.
"Size matters not"
Grand Inquisitor Prognie
It's fine, Marix assuming that anyone outside of the military cannot dare challenge his tactical mind only opens him up for a brutal beating later.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
| Grand Mage Aequitas wrote: | Yeah.
I die well |
Welcome to the club. Mine was more poetic frankly (jumping into a torrent of my own trained men including my deputy to save the life of my cousin and the last hope), but yours was pretty awesome (ungodly huge explosion).
High Defender Adenn
The fact that he has be being 'controlled' is kinda agitating, but I'll live.
High Prophet Crozeus
He does break out of it, don't worry.
It wasn't an explosion, Aequitas was shot by a firing squad with Gauss Rifles (lightsabers can't deflect). The noise was drowned out by a firework.
Heh, you could put Tarna to death to the tunes of some heroic music quite easily. In slow motion.
Emperor Shadow
I don't want to hear anybody complaining. My death sucked.
Sovereign Defender Tarna
| Emperor Shadow wrote: | I don't want to hear anybody complaining. My death sucked. |
Your death had to suck a little, you were old and weak, and it showed Prognie's power and bastard-ness that you couldn't even resist.
Lord Aequitas
I love the way that word aint sensored.
High Prophet Crozeus
There is no censor, is there?
Supreme Commander Alor
There is, at least there was.
Testing:
frack
Edit: Yes, there is a censor. It turns the f-bomb into frack.
Lord Aequitas
There is.
High Prophet Crozeus
And there I was, thinking there would be freedom of speech in the Sith Empire...
Supreme Commander Alor
You crack me up.
High Prophet Crozeus
Why are cat scratching posts the google ads...
Supreme Commander Alor
Mine says "Hot Jedi Aayla Secura"
Superior Nighthawk
I got teeth to look at. >_< I don't want to be looking at teeth. O_o
Emperor Shadow
Does any of this relate to the story?
High Prophet Crozeus
Perhaps...
High Prophet Crozeus
Due largely to me working on other things, I fell behind on this. Oddly, chapters 5 and 6 are on my PC... but I still need to re-write 3 and 4. I will be doing so soon, seeing as it's the summer, I'm bored, and I have finished the 7000 word essay I did for the Church
Supreme Commander Alor
Only 7,000 words?
High Prophet Crozeus
I don't even wanna know what you make your guys get up to
Darth Thrax
I'm looking forward to the rest of this.
I am upset that Thrax was still an Inquisitor at the time of Prognie's defection though. Oh well.
High Prophet Crozeus
Well, if you were a Private you would probably just defect anyway but become a footsoldier. Prognie would have influence over you considering you were High Inquisitor before.
Darth Thrax
All is fine and well.
I just noticed something odd. The story takes place in 88 ABY, which is the same year that you say Aequitas was killed, and yet in the Imperial Timeline, it says that Aequitas became the first Grand Mage in 92 ABY.
Lord Aequitas
This is a fanfic.
It's not canon.
Darth Thrax
Ahh, I see. Well, that makes much more sense. Thank you.
High Prophet Crozeus
Oh god no. It's completely non-canon. The date was based on the site date we had before the new timeline.
Lord Aequitas
Dear god that reminds me. We're in a new year - 98 ABY.
