Lord Aequitas

((Apologies for the delay, I was moving))

Aequitas sat alone in his warm office on a cold day. The massive Greyglass Towers loomed over many of the other buildings in the area surrounding it. This was his Moff Office, Penthouse and general Complex on Coruscant, former capital of the Galaxy. It was also here where he instructed his new apprentice to meet him. He had, of course, arranged transport from Kuat to Coruscant for his apprentice, as he doubted he would have been able to get here otherwise.

Atop Greyglass Towers was a docking bay and it was here where his apprentice would be arriving. He had arranged for his butler to bring his new apprentice to his Office. Aequitas had heard the ship docking and made his way to his Office along with his apprentice’s new file. However, at this moment in time, Aequitas was staring out a window waiting for his apprentice to arrive and to begin a new life as a Sith.
Collificus Drake

Collificus had never been to Coruscant. He had hardly been to but two planets, the colonies he called his homeworld homeworld and Kuat. He lavished the inner beauty of the higher class city as his ship, arranged by his new master, arrived.

He was greeted gratefully by the few greeters his master had arranged for him, a lot different from the odd culture of his people, or at least the few able to continue breeding like gizka.

The greeters made sure to check him for all of his possessions, and quickly took his lightsaber, and telling him a brief,"You will get it back." They led him to the door of the so- called to him palace, and in the door-way stood a white haired man awaiting him.
Lord Aequitas

The white-haired butler lead the young Neti to the office where the Moff of Coruscant and Lord of the Sith, Grand Mage Aequitas was sitting. Aequitas looked up and smiled slightly. " Ah", he said flicking his eyes down at the file on his desk, "you must be Collificus. Please, take a seat", he said, motioning to the seat on front of his desk.
Collificus Drake

Collificus felt the sense of hate directed at him in the room. It seemed that every single person in the building glared at him with evil eyes. On Kuat, he had searched the files on important figures in the empire, and came across his soon-to-be-masters file. He had read and discovered that the Grand Mage himself did not like other raced sentients, but he did not have the initial thought of a malice so deep.

He took a seat in the ovular chair in front of the Grand Mage's desk. He looked up, intimidated at the man who could withstand four-hundred blows from his force powers, whilst only one could take him down. Yet, that was what he was here for, to train and get better at everything related to the force and the empire.

A panicked voice came from within the large Neti's body,"How do you do m'lord?"
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas smiled slightly. “How I am is of no concern to you. All that you need know is that I am capable of unleashing your wildest dreams, making you become one of the most feared people in this galaxy. But, I am also capable of taking away those dreams and taking away your life – which will not be missed”. He looked at the young Neti. Aequitas, as Chairperson of the Traditional Party, had the air of someone who did not take to species other than Humans very well. Although this was partially true, Aequitas did not take much interest in the affairs of non-humans, he would not go so far as to say he was racist – he was just quite conservative. He decided, however, to take a special interest in this non-human.

“I sense fear, anticipation, exhaustion and intimidation, among others, from you. Why? Are you afraid? Are you intimidated?” he asked slowly.
Collificus Drake

The Neti glared at the man. He was intimidating, yes, but not enough for the small quiver that the Neti let show. He was afraid, yes of the things to come, and he seemed to have trouble hiding it at one o the most important time he could.

"As you must know, all sith, including you, must have been in my position at one point. Some handle it well and some don't. I am fearful, yes, of the things to come and the things you may do, as you described in your lst sentence."The Neti's voice cut out on him for a moment before he began talking.

"That is why I have come here, for you to teach me how to use this fear to my advantage, and for me to become powerful, just like you and your master before you."
Lord Aequitas

The eyes of the Coruscanti native lit up at the mention of his former Master. “And tell me, apprentice, what do you know of my past that you are able to identify my former Master”. He leaned back in his chair slightly, resting his joined hands upon his breastbone. He continued to look at the apprentice with a slight smile upon his face. “Furthermore, what do you know of my former Master and his teaching methods which had made me who I am today, sitting here before you”. Not many new apprentices knew of the actual hierarchy of the Empire and it would be interesting to see how this Neti would answer.

“And”, he began, “in response to your statement – yes, we, that is the hierarchy, were in positions similar to that of you today. But now we have been graced with power and wisdom. And, importantly, the ability to know how to use both”.
Collificus Drake

The Neti studied his answer closely before going on. He knew one wrong word could bring his demise, and another could give him power. He had already knew an assumption of what he would say, and what he would at least try to get out.

"Then that is what I am doing, Lord Aequitas. I am using my skills in finding infromation and utilizing its functions. When I first found that you were to at least consider me for apprenticeship I went to the Hall of Citizenship and looked up your profile, or at least what was not hidden. It detailed that you had been in the church, and your earlier progress, such as the Emperor being your master."

The shapeshifter had a intelligent dialect to him, one that could be mistaken for sarcasm.

"As for your master, it is easy to assume he was powerful, and that he had a gift of teaching, or not would he be the Emperor? Furthermore, I do not know of the teachings that he bestowed upon you, for the information was classified, and I know nothing of."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas nodded his head in approval. “Researching was a very wise decision. One must always know their opponent. For of course, I am your opponent. You, over the course of your apprenticeship will be battling to impress me, to gain approval from me and to prove your prowess among the other apprentices, whom I will constantly be comparing you with”. He tapped his fingers on his desk slowly. He swung his chair around looking out the great, glass windows.

“Welcome to Coruscant, my apprentice, the former galactic capital and my current Moffdom. The planet is massively important to the Empire and to be entrusted with its well-being is a great honour. Now, this leads me to my first question. As a Sith, what will you be striving for, loyalty or honour?” It was a simple question.
Collificus Drake

Collificus never even thought of the question. It was very easy and simple, a question that seemed too easy.

"If you had asked me what I am stiving for, it would have to be power, but that wasn't the question. It would have to be honour, because a sith isn't trustworthy, and sith shouldn't trust. Honour is a better alternative for the glory and power that comes with your name."

Collificus felt like he gave the correct answer, but this question could be tricky either way he could have made it out to be.
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas laughed. “That would be an acceptable answer if I asked about trust. I, however, asked about loyalty. Two very different subjects, I assure you.” He tapped his hands on his desk staring at the Neti. Perhaps his Basic was not very good. If this were the case, Aequitas would have to rely on the 10 other languages he knew.

“So, I ask you once again. Loyalty or honour?” Aequitas stared at the Neti, breaking through his minds barriers easily.
Collificus Drake

Collificus knew the older human was getting irritated by him. He was apparently doing so by his comments and actions, and the Grand Mage's actions led him to his assumption as well.

"Very simply honour. I would rather be the strongest being in the galaxy with my name at the top pedastal of the eternal empire. I would rather be a so-called "hero" or "villain" in these peoples eyes and be remembered forever, and to have the beliefs in my actions carried out by the self-explanatory respect I wish to recieve for my "integrity" or "fairness" in what I think is the right thing for me and myself alone."
Lord Aequitas

Aequitas leaned back in his chair. “So you wouldn’t choose loyalty? You’re telling me right here and right now, you are not going to be loyal to the Throne of the Eternal Empire and its occupier. Now that’s a very funny thing to be admitting to a Sith Lord, is it not?”

“You are, at least, honest. Or stupid. Or both”, he stated clearly.
Collificus Drake

The Neti smirked, it seemed he had caught himself in a tight spot.

"As long as I am in the empire I will be loyal to the emperor, but as so many sith before me, I strive for power."
