Training for Jinko

Report in Jinko
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Reporting in, sir.
Darth Thrax

Okay. What is your lightsaber style and what are you planning to be, Acolyte or Warrior?
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

When in need, Makashi is the form to use. And the path that I shall follow is that of the acolyte.
Darth Thrax

Ok. Now I want you to go to the Hall of Dark Patronage and pledge yourself under their altar. Once you have pledged yourself, I want you to write a 300 word essay on that Dark Lord/Lady. Report back when you are finished.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

I have chosen Darth Traya as my patron.

There are many questions as to or what Darth Traya was before her ascension as a Dark Lord of the Sith. Though none of it really matters, what is important is the ideas and the accomplishments that she made in her time. Darth Traya trained two of the deadliest Sith Lords that the Galaxy has had the displeasure of seeing as well as training one of the greatest force users, Revan. She taught of betrayal to only be betrayed in turn by her own two students. Cast out by both orders she gave to, she sought out a new purpose and found that purpose in revenge, but her revenge was not towards those that cast her out but towards the very tool they manipulated.

Her chance--her moment of glory came in the form of a exiled Jedi just like herself. Manipulating the Exile she formed a bond with her, one she hoped would help her get closer to her ‘purpose.’ She taught the Exile much, from the lurking of betrayal to important survival feats. She protected the Exile from the Jedi Masters who wished to cast her out once more. She brought a new idea to the Galaxy--death to the very thing that betrayed her. Once Traya was at her peak, she turned on the Exile hoping she would come after her on Malachor, though not before unleashing Darth Nihilus upon Telos that would erupt in a large space battle. Preparing herself back on Malachor she once again tricked her former student, Sion, to rejoin her and fight off the Exile in case she braved the trial. Traya awaited her former student in the center of the Trayus Academy, stationed on Malachor. Luring the Exile, Darth Traya hoped to use the Exile as her wound in the force, to send an echo so mighty that it would end the force and would seal her revenge.

The Exile arrived on Malachor, but not without a challenge. Traya had a large amount of Sith Assassins as well as Sith Masters awaiting her to challenge her and insure that she was truly ready for the final trial. The Exile found Sion, and fought him trying to reach through him to give up as Traya had used him too for her own benefit. Finally killing him, the Exile entered the center of the Trayus academy for the final confrontation with her former master. Traya did not hold back, she fought against the Exile as the final test to her. When the Exile had finally bested Traya, she used her remaining power to give her a vision of the galaxy and it’s future. Before dying Traya understood her former teachings to be true, and saw that the Exile was her greatest student.
Darth Thrax

Excellent essay, Jinko. Now if you will, I would like you to duel someone Master or higher. Once you are finished I will have more training for you.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

I shall get started on this.
Darth Thrax

You are finished are you not?
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Well, the initial part is done but the actual duel is not done yet.
Darth Thrax

Very well, complete the duel and as I stated before I will have more training for you.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Well, the battle is going to take longer than this training so I guess we're moving on.
Darth Thrax

Okay that is fine Jinko. What Order do you plan to join such as the Hands, Inquisitors, etc.?
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

The Church, I am no value to any other order.
Darth Thrax

Fine answer. I believe that you would be an excellent addition to the Church. Ok now why do you think you could help the Church and what could you do that would benefit the Church?
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Seeing as these two questions will really go hand in hand, I shall answer them as such.

I can help the Church because I have the will and the wisdom to do it, I can understand things and analyze them as well. The Church is meant to secure the future of the Empire but seeing, analyzing, and understanding the possible outcomes. That is what I do, I read into things that people don't. So what will I do for the Church? I will aid them, as any other person joining an order would.
Darth Thrax

Excellent. Now I will test your powers once you reply to this. Note that it will all be IC.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

okay
Darth Thrax

"Okay young Jinko. Here we will test your knowledge of the Force and how to use it." High Inquisitor Thrax implied. He walked around Jinko and studied his body. Thrax stopped and looked at Jinko's face. "Okay. Before you are objects both large and small. Now I want you to start with the smallest and work your way up. Focus on the object only and you will succeed."
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

( Jinko is forty -cough- )

Jinko nodded and turned to the objects before him, each had its own size and shape and would challenge him undoubtedly if he did not concentrate. Focusing on the smallest object first he closed his eyes and thought of his surrounding but then removed those objects and left himself with the one he wanted to move. Touching the farthest reaches of his mind he felt his power, the all encompassing power that drove his strength. Pushing himself towards it he felt the power surge through him and before long the small object levitated from the floor into the air. He could not see it floating there, but he knew it was no longer on the ground, he had just taken his first steps into completing his task.

Dropping the object he focused on the room once again, and then began to pick out objects he did not want and left himself with the largest, it was a jump from large to small, but if he was to tackle his weakness now then he wouldn't have much to hinder him later. Tapping into the force he put it into his entire being, connecting himself with the power and concentrated on the object. He could feel a tingle with it, the object moved, rocking against the floor before it slowly but surely flew into the air. Keeping it steady he let the object sway back and forth before that was disconnected from him.

Finding it necessary, Jinko removed all the objects from the room as he did, but kept only the objects that were laid before him as a task. Grabbing each of them with his mind he once again opened himself to his power, the surge of strength running through his blood. Each object began to join another object and what felt like a difficult task become only one: lifting one object. As he did earlier, jinko began to raise the objects but was only exerting the small energy it took to do one. A smile upon his face he moved the rocks in a circular motion, surrounding himself in the ring formation. Pleased with himself, Jinko released the rocks and then turned back to Thrax, unaware of his expression, he reached out through the force to sense any feeling he may be letting out. "I hope this is satisfactory?"
Darth Thrax

((Sorry. I'm just used to having apprentices that are younger than me.))

The High Inquisitor looked from the objects to Jinko. "Yes it is indeed." Thrax said with a slight smile. He turned and walked over to the opposite side of the room where a square object was placed. He put his palm next to the object and looked at it. Seconds later, the square object crumbled into nothing. He turned and looked at Jinko. "There is another object next to me. Once you get over here, I want you to do what I did." Inquisitor Thrax implied.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

He eyed the object that his master had crushed so easily, staring back at his master he was slightly amused by such strength and mostly interested in the power. Nodding he made his way over to the object that was laid before him, he would have to repeat the feat.

Looking at the object he eyed it carefully, wrapping his mind around the artifact he thought about the power he used to lift it and once again tapped into his strength. But this time instead of lifting it he wanted to crush it as his master did, so focusing the power around the object he could feel it begin to wrap itself around it like a snake. Constricting it, pulling it inward, as it to implode. Finally the object gave in within itself and began to crumbled, pieces of it spreading across the surface. Turning to look at his master he grinned, his second task was complete.
Darth Thrax

The Inquisitor looked at the bits and pieces on the ground then turned toward his apprentice. "Well done Jinko." Inquisitor Thrax remarked. Thrax pushed off his robe and brought out his lightsabers. "Now....fight me." Thrax implied to Jinko. He brought his sabers infront of him to make a defensive position.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Jinko was surprised by the sudden change of mood, Thrax went from approving to battle ready. Clenching his cane in his right hand Jinko did not move, nor did he stand down. "If it is necessary.." Jinko stood his place and did not move, his senses were prepared for any and all changes. When Thrax would make his move, Jinko would be fully prepared for it.
Darth Thrax

A feeling of astonishment went through Thrax's body but he didn't show it. He walked over to Jinko steadily and halted when he stood a few feet apart from him. He then lifted his sabers over his head and slashed downward. As his lightsabers came crashing down, he didn't know how Jinko would react.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

While Thrax prepared his attack, Jinko was subtly tapping the ground with this cane, the vibrations he was sending out were returning to him letting him know where THrax was at that very moment. Using the rest of his senses he could use those to know his actions and movements. The amount of time it took the vibrations to come back was thinning and Jinko understood this to mean Thrax was on the move.

Opening his potential, Jinko felt the sudden change as the heat increased meaning that two sabers were now ignited. Feeling the movements in the force, he quickly kicked his cane so that it spun on his hand and the pointed tip was now unleashing a bright blade that ignited in time to halt the two blades. With two hands occupied, Jinko capitalized on this by lifting his left foot and pushing his boot into Thrax's stomach in hopes of creating some space between them.
Darth Thrax

Inquisitor Thrax felt the foot dig into his stomach and reached out for Jinko's ankle. He ended up missing his target and slamming into the ground. As he touched the surface he pushed off with his fingers and landed back on his feet. Once this was done, he ran at Jinko and tried to trip him. When this failed he brought up his sabers down onto Jinko. They were caught in a saber lock once more. The Inquisitor sneered wickedly as he brought out one of his sabers from the saber lock and smashed the hilt of the lightsaber into Jinko's stomach.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

(( some of that seemed kind of un believable with two sabers in your hand... but whatever. ))

The hilt hit his stomach, staggering back a bit having a bit of air taking out. Taking a few big breaths he regained his composure, his cane clenched tightly still. Taking a step back he searched around the room for the objects that he was told to levitate. Finding them he quickly latched onto them with his mind and grabbed them from their places. The objects began to move toward him, engulfing himself in their spinning motion. He ran towards Thrax, the objects spinning around him. When he came to a close enough range he launched the objects at thrax before he too began to swing his cane's blade at him.
Darth Thrax

((Not really if you read my post correctly.))

As Jinko came closer the objects also came closer. Inquisitor Thrax took a step away and then lunged forward knocking down two of the objects. As Thrax lunged, Jinko took a swing and scorched a part of Thrax's skin as well as his robe. He scringed but ignored the pain as he tried to counter the move with a Force push.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Jinko's moves were quick but he was unprepared for the power of the force as it shoved him back causing him to stagger backwards. Deactivating his cane he put behind him with his right hand to catch his balance and regain posture. A slight grin upon his face, jinko stood his place and looked at his master. "As much as I enjoy a friendly spar, I an reluctant to continue fighting if it means I will eventually be at your mercy." he began to tap the ground again searching the room with his vibrations for Thrax's place, he wouldn't give him any time to move without being prepared. Being sightless did not mean he was unaware.
Darth Thrax

The Inquisitor walked slowly over to where Jinko stood. He knew how Jinko would react. He would try to catch him off guard then attack. It wouldn't happen twice. Once Thrax stood a few feet away from his Apprentice, he threw one of his lightsabers at Jinko. He blocked the saber and it flopped to the floor. Thrax immediately called his saber back to his hand a grinned a bit in fascination. He took a step closer to Jinko and then put him into a Force Choke. He lifted him into the air for a few seconds then hurled him at the wall. Although it seemed as though he was in immense pain, Inquisitor Thrax knew that Jinko could manage.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

His back banged against the wall, sliding down he shook his head trying to regain thought. He had also banged his head against the wall, which caused his bandanna around his eyes to loosen and fall off. Standing up he revealed his colorless orbs, void of life and of sight. Summoning his cane to him he stood his place once more.

Did his master want to impress him with mere parlor tricks or was there reasoning behind his usage of such a mediocre force power? "Nice display of power master, though I would hope that someone of your caliber would not waste time on parlor tricks." Jinko was not a great swordsman, especially with a cane, but he was capable of entering the minds of others with his words. Slicing through their defenses without difficulty. Stepping forward he let Thrax stare at his eyes, even if Jinko could not stare back. "If you wanted to play a game, I would have brought sabacc." Jinko grinned, the small taps on the ground were did not cease, he was quite aware of Thrax's movements wherever he went.
Darth Thrax

The Inquisitor remained expressionless as he glared into Jinko's blank eyes. "Do you wish to feel pain, Jinko, my apprentice?" Inquisitor Thrax asked in response. He lifted up a hand and lifted Jinko up with the Force once more. He clenched his palm into a fist and twisted that fist. "Do you think that I am toying with you? I could do much more, Jinko, believe me. I know pain and now so will you."

He walked over to Jinko and halted before him, clenching and twisting his fist. He finally let go and Jinko dropped to the floor. Thrax stepped next to him and kicked him in the side. He rolled to his side once he got kicked and struggled to get up. Thrax saw him struggle and lifted him up again, this time with his bare hand, by the throat. He glared into the unblinking eyes of his apprentice and threw him to the ground. "Why do you not fight, Jinko?" The Inquisitor asked again.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

He laughed, but he stopped quickly to try and conserve whatever last breath he had within him trying to regain a normal breathing pattern. Standing up Jinko smacked Thrax's hand away with his cane and pushed him back with the force, just as he was doing to him. "I do not fight because of ignorance, if I am to fight it will be for a purpose worth dying, not for the mere enjoyment of someone beating me." Stepping back he could feel THrax's power building, he wanted to demonstrate his strength to Jinko, almost as if he was the one afraid of being taught something here.
Darth Thrax

((Sorry for the absence. I was gone for awhile.))

The Inquisitor hung his sabers at his sides and de-ignited them. He turned and walked away from his apprentice. He shook his head slightly and continued to look ahead. "Come, Jinko. We will finish this later. " Thrax implied. He pushed the door open and strode out the opening.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Jinko cocked his head, Thrax's presence faded and he knew that his master had wasted no time with leaving the room. Standing here in the room alone, he made his way out following behind thrax's fading presence.
Darth Thrax

He felt Jinko's presence behind him and stopped before he reached a door. He turned slowly and opened the door with a flick of his hand. He walked through the doorway and waited for Jinko to enter.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Jinko made his way through the threshold, he wasn't sure why he was being brought to a new room nor was he aware of thrax's intentions by transferring into a new room. Not concerned with the change he continued on and awaited Thrax to explain the change.
Darth Thrax

The High Inquisitor knew that Jinko was confused about him switching rooms but that didn't bother him. In reality, there was really no reason why he had left one room and went into another. Just another confusing thing that Thrax had taught his apprentice. Thrax was brought back into reality when he heard the door shut when Jinko stepped through. Thrax turned and looked at Jinko. "I want you to use the powers I have taught you on me, Jinko."
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

He stood still, he didn't bother to search for thrax, just listened to his next task. He wanted him to display the powers he taught him? Did he not display such powers earlier, perhaps not well enough? "What do you mean, use them? You want me to fight you again or lift things again or..."
Darth Thrax

"Just use anything at your disposal. Whether it be Force powers or physical combat." Thrax replied. He knew Jinko's confusion was well placed and Thrax was sure of Jinko's power.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

Searching around the room with the force he tried to feel out objects that he could grab onto, it was a bit more difficult for him to use his other senses and the force to find objects as opposed to just seeing them. Resting on the walls were swords, there were two for each wall. Grabbing onto them with his mind he stood in place, each sword required a certain amount of energy and because he was not just lifting one object but eight of them. The swords began to jingle against each other as his mind was fighting to show them he was in control. The jingling became more frantic as if the swords were now in a frenzy, and soon they shot off from their place and met dead center, each pointing across from another. Holding them in midair he turned to Thrax awaiting his next task.
Darth Thrax

Thrax smiled a bit and walked towards Jinko. "You have shown me your strength and your knowledge. I now believe that you are ready for Knighting, Jinko." Thrax implied.
Grand Inquisitor Prognie

He looked at Thrax and gave him a nod. "Thank you, master."
