Supreme Commander Alor
Since you are a military man:
Task One:
Research Grand Admiral Thrawn and his exploits
100+ word essay
There is of course, no time limit, but i should expect it in before saturday.
Task Two:
Since you are interested in the military, I would like you to pick any battle in Star Wars and tell me what was good and what was bad. Advantages and disadvantages. ((This will prepare you for the military application))
Task Three:
Pick a patron, go to his/her altar and pledge yourself, then post a summary of his/her past here.
((I am throwing this all on now so you have the most time possible to complete it. I might not be able to get on a lot right now (packing and stuff) so beware.))

Essay:
"And please call me by my core name, Thrawn."
―Thrawn
thrawn was a brilliant military strategist and tactician. He was honored with of being a great military commander of the Galactic Empire.
He led the remnants of the Imperial Navy in a campaign of victories against the New Republic
but he was assassinated by his own bodyguard.
Command style:
Thrawn preferred to promote creativity in his crew, rather than merely punish their failures.
Thrawn encouraged his senior officers to express their own ideas and gave them reasoned consideration rather than ignore any outside ideas, as many an Imperial commander had done during the height of the Empire. The sharp contrast between Thrawn's style and that of megalomaniac and sadistic Imperial leaders heightened Thrawn's ability to lead.
Technique
The precise application of intelligence allowed Thrawn to win countless victories over numerically superior forces. Thrawn believed that one could understand the psychological and tactical limitations of one's adversaries through the examination of their art, and thus exploit their weaknesses.
An attention to small details also played a major role in Thrawn's technique. By scouring large collections of data and intelligence, Thrawn was able to piece together small details that alone were merely trivia, but together formed a powerful variable.
Thrawn laid out complex campaigns in advance of his attacks. By following a carefully planned campaign, Thrawn was able to keep his enemies guessing.
Thrawn was awsome gosh
The Battle:
First Battle of Coruscant (Great Sith War)
Background
The First Battle of Coruscant was a major offensive by the Krath to conquer the Republic during the Great Sith War. The attack force consisted of the Krath forces of Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma and the troops of Mandalore the Indomitable.
Good: it was a step in the right direction for the sith to conqure the republic
the republic was ambushed by Krath forces
Bad:
the opposite side had a a Jedi task force at their side
the republic got back in the game when the jedi started giving orders
the sith lost
Exar kun:
Exar Kun was a rash and talented youth: these qualities resulted in considerable arrogance, an unbecoming and dangerous quality in a Jedi. In his training, he frequently dueled with and defeated his fellow Padawans, Sylvar and Crado, his rage and confidence clearly visible. The temptation of power overwhelmed Kun when he briefly viewed his master's holocron.

contiuned:
Exar Kun was masterful at lightsaber combat specializing in Form II. He is also known to have been a double-bladed lightsaber combat master, and was also known to have fought with two blades on occasion, being adept at the Jar'Kai style of fighting. Exar's lightsaber, unlike nearly all Sith lightsabers that followed it, was also blue. He also was able to independently change the length and strength of the blades, causing confusion and over/under-compensation from his opponents in combat.
Before fully embracing the dark side, Exar Kun was directed to the jungle moon of Yavin 4, one of the few remaining Sith outposts; even after Freedon Nadd ransacked the treasures deposited there by Naga Sadow, there was much to attract Kun. There he encountered the primitive remnants of the experiment of the Sith Lord Naga Sadow, the fearsome Massassi race. Denied the powers of the light, but at the same time refusing to entirely accept the dark side, Kun was easily captured by these natives. As Kun, on the verge of death, was being crushed by a giant creature of alchemical origins, Freedon Nadd proceeded to interrupt another of his student's predicaments. In what would be Kun's final moments before being totally corrupted by the dark side, Nadd instructed his pupil that his only escape was to once again tap into the darkness within him. Taking the Sith amulet being displayed at his Massassi sacrifice in hand, Kun embraced its dark nature with absolute conviction.

We will continue your training while you seek a duel.
You have shown interest in the Military, and have proven that you understand combat and strategy.
While you may hold knowledge of such things, you lack a understanding of the force and in-character playing. From here on out your training will incorporate IC parts.
IC: Marix stood still, leaning onto his Sith Infiltrator. He was waiting for Navey to show up in the hangar. The small, but sleek ship, stood alone in the small, but suitable hangar. Silver in color, the small craft reflected the floor, ceiling, walls, and surrounding objects.
He waited, eyes closed, breathing slow, but ever aware...
