What would make movies better SPOILER WARNING
This thread is mainly about what you would think would make a certain movie better.
Sweeney Todd: What would make this better.
It would be better if he lived and it showed how the daughter and sailor ended up.

I have a couple of thoughts...
X-Men 3 and Spiderman 3.
Both seemed to have too much crammed into the film. For X-men, they could've done 1 movie about the 'cure' and 1 about Dark Phoenix and done them both justice. Similiarly, Spiderman 3 could've been broken up into a revenge film about the New Goblin, and introduced Venom to have the symbiote be the main villain for a 4th movie.

This goes for all movies in which people do not possess incredible abilities or powers: They should make the movies much more realistic. I'm not talking about the setting or any of that. I'm talking about the situations and how the people would react to them. For those of you that have or even have not seen The Haunting in Connecticut, would you honestly walk into a room that the door wouldn't open to before, but suddenly just creaked wide open without anyone touching it? I mean, come on. No one in their right mind would to that. I'm sure most, if not everybody, would bolt up the stairs and lock the door behind them. Am I right?

Master Thrax, perhaps you are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Because you are watching the movie, you know it's a horror i.e. it's going to be scary or shock inducing. Therefore, you know that the door opening by itself is a sign that something bad, gruesome or fatal is about to happen.
However, put yourself in that situation. The door one was unable to open suddenly opened by itself. One would not, at once, think that there is a monster or some other "bad" thing behind the door. No, naturally, one would wonder why the door opened by itself. One would investigate this strange occurence.
As such, in my opinion, it is quite realistic. The human being is naturally curious.

Really? I don't know about anyone else, but I would be up and out of that room in a matter of probably 3 seconds.

lol wuss.

Oh, no no. I am not a wuss, although you are entitled to your opinion. The reason I would be out of there that quick is because there is no way that a seemingly bolted down door, would just creak wide open.

Maybe the amount of people who tried and the amount of times they tried it, wore it down. And maybe in it's worn down state, the lock just gave way and voila, the door is open.

There was no lock on the door. I said seemingly, but I understand how you could be confused by what I said.

I would shut it back and then run, i don't know about you but i like living and i wouldn't take my chances with a door opened by some sort of epiphany.

I'd investigate.

You'd Die!
Honestly, what compels the human mind to try and figure out things that happen by "accident?"

The answer to that can be found in Delora's post. Humans are naturally curious. They're not going to think "OMFG something evil opened that door", they're going to think "Hmm, I wonder how that door opened".
We're taught that evil things like ghosts and monsters and stuff like that don't exsist. Axe-wielding murderers do yes, but not in the numbers the movies make out.

Very true, but i was referring to the stupid "horror" movies.

Care to explain "horror"?
I, personally, find most it not all horror films boring or, "stupid".

Well the reason i put horror in quotation marks, is because i find them funny and amusing. I have yet to be scared from a "horror" movie.
