Where did your user name/Darth title come from?

There are a lot of interesting names on here, from simple ones like Shadow to more complex ones like Iyezo 'Dur.

So I was wondering, where did the inspiration for your name come from? What does it mean?

I joined as "Souless one" just over a year ago, getting the name after listening to Muse's "New Born" which contains the line "Souless is everywhere."

How about you guys?

Lord Aequitas

I joined as Supremo. From Supreme. Meaning great, brilliant etc

Aequitas was because I was going to be Procurate and I decided to pick a latin name to do with that. Aequitas means justice.

Darth Thrax

My name comes from two different Zabrak. Eeth Koth + Bao'Dur = Eaoth'Dur.

My Darth name comes from Anthrax, which is a highly lethal disease.

Elric: My main reason of selecting this name is Elric of Melniboné. A weak and rotten king of a kingdom in ruins later becomes the most evil figure of universe by using an sword called Stormbringer which siphon's victims' soul to enpower its wielder. In the end, sword kills Elric's friends and Elric himself too. So twisted Very Happy

My second Elric source is from Fullmetal Alchemist Anime - Edward and Alphonse Elric brothers who unintenionally sacrificing their bodies to bring their dead mother from afterlife by alchemy. Lastly as a note, Elric means King in old English.

Jinko, prognie's real name, is the name of one of the fighters from Mortal Kombat.

Shadow because I'm stealthy.

Jeridan because it's one of my favorite male names.

Peverell because... didn't you read Harry Potter?

Shesh because it's a famous Kuati family, where my character is from (New Jedi Order).

Dilbrun because I think it's a sweet last name.

Supreme Commander Alor

I originally started here as "Dark Flame". Actually, my very first appearance was as "Darth Flame" but I forgot about that account and registered again in a few months as "Dark Flame". Dark Flame had been my call sign for a while, using it as my email, my website, my company name (yes, I planned out a company - Dark Flame Enterprises). I had gotten it from a friend who used "Dark Orbit" the same way I used Dark Flame.

It took me a while, but I eventually came up with a name that I liked, Markaro Vos. Vos because my character was Kiffar and Vos was the more famous family of Kiffar.

Markaro I came up with it on my own actually. I forget exactly how, but I believe it was one of those moments just before you fall asleep that you get this great idea, and that's where Markaro came from. It just sounded right to me.

Marix was like Markaro. I was playing a game called "Celtic Kings" and one of the characters name was simlar to Marix, but I didn't want to entirely copy it so I removed a few letters to get Marix.

So far they're all worked out for me Very Happy

As for my other characters, that comes from research of famous families from planets in Star Wars, random letter combinations to form weird yet well sounding names that fit my characters. Such as "Jarik Sol", "Sarona Vel", "Dradin Laxan Kilron", "Valence Geria Tonson Dooku", "Jeridan Kerath Shepard Durin Giles".

Al'ysa Khal was from a girl I liked who wanted to be in my story, so I made her a character. Her name was Alyssa, so to make it Star Warsish, I made it Al'ysa. And Khal I can't remember getting from anywhere, it just sounded right. Ranov'la is "secret" in Mandalorian, and Al'ysa is supposed to be my secret bodyguard and former apprentice, so it was fitting.

High Commander Vexen

I joined as Magnagrevious, a combination of General Grevious and his body guards. They were my favorite droids at the time and I thought, what the hell.

Vexen...taken from the word vex, added the suffix -en

Major General Celestial

Vexen is also a woman temptress.

Relak came from the combination of Revan and Malak, so did my last name, Maven.

Celestial was a good name becuase it sorts out the elegance of myself and it reminded me of the dark, when the stars are out.

Kindrid Nokah

Kindrid is very slose in spelling to "Kindred" as in the painting "Kindred Spirits". The painting shows nature and this reflects what my character truly loves although he was born on an icy planet.

Nokah is also very close to "Nokia" as in the type of phone, lol. I have a Nokia phone and I thought Nokah kinda sounded cool. Razz

Marius Praxeum

Just a well thought out name. "Trent" and "Praxeum" are two Pure Blood Familes from Corellia, my characters homeworld.

Marius Decimus is Roman, which I am a fan of, and sounds cool.

My Sith name isn't definite yet, but I am leaning towards: Caelestis. Which is Latin for "/adj// heavenly, celestial /noun// a god, dweller in heaven".

Not completely set on it yet though.
