Zanaku Dagana: Rise of a WarlordThe Kaleesh are a fearsome species, feared throughout the galaxy as one of the most violent races to ever exist. Zanaku cor Dagana was no exception to this. He was trained by his father starting at the age of 7, while most Kaleesh start at the age of 11. His father's name is not currently known, only that he was one of the warlords that became a god after his death.
While he was in intensive training with his father he easily grasped the concepts of combat and almost defeated his father several times. Zanaku was progressing at an incredible rate for a child of his age, and soon came to be noticed by the priests of the Kaleesh. The priests believed him to be an earthly incarnation of the gods of death, and removed him from his fathers tutelage. Instead they placed him in battle at the age of 12 and believed he would not die, being a god.
When in battle Zanaku believed all that the priests told him, including him being a god. With Zanaku believing that laser fire an vibro blades had no effect on him, he unknowingly used the force to protect himself from harm. Laser fire ricocheted off the force aura he created, and vibro blades could never penetrate his skin. After 5 years of battle he returned as a warlord to his people, who celebrated all the deaths that he had caused. He was welcomed into his village with open arms by his mother, but he wondered where his father was.
His father had been killed while he was away and he experienced pain for the first time. He did not understand it at first, but he asked about the feeling he was experiencing and was told that it was called pain. He would never feel this again, he would make sure of it. In his first act of rage and hatred, he went searching for the Huks who had killed his father in combat. When he arrived he noticed that the Huk had placed all their victims heads in a pile to celebrate their kills, after staring at the pile he noticed that one looked familiar. His father's head was at the top of the pile.
In a fit of rage rivalling Maul himself, he took up his two vibroblades and charged forward into the camp. Zanaku jumped over the heads of the three and decapitated them with his blades in the middle of his somersault. He then noticed that four more were charging from the right. In response, Zanaku ran on the wall of the mud hut and decapitated the two on the right, then kicked off of the wall he was on while spinning in midair. Using the momentum from the spin he planted a boot into the face of one Huk hard enough to break it's neck, while impaling the other in it's multifaceted eye. Zanaku felt the blood of his enemies coat his body like a second skin, giving him satisfaction and a surge of power that seemed to pulse through his body. Without knowing it, he let the dark side flow through him, he imagined himself bringing unimaginable pain to his enemies, and the force obeyed him. Through utter and complete hatred for the Huks, he conjured lightning from his fingertips and killed twenty Huks with several bursts of lightning. Zanaku wished he could choke the life out of the Huk, and once more the force obeyed him, levitating seven of the Huk into the air and strangling the life from them. Zanaku still feeling laced with adrenaline, noticed that there were four more coming from different directions, he threw his two blades in different directions, sending the two blades into what would be the face of a Huk. He then dodged one of the large claws of the other Huk and grabbed it by the neck, immediately pulling it to the left and breaking it. The Huk he had dodged came back for him and this time he sent his claw into Zanaku's head. Thick skin is all that saved him. With newfound fury Zanaku sent his fist crashing into the eye of the Huk and went straight through to the skull. Zanaku looked at what he had just done and was pleased, but amazed. "What is this Power?" he asked himself.
He then left the place covered in the blood of his enemies, knowing that it would serve as a reminder to those who would cross a Kaleesh. After returning home he simply told all those who asked that the Huk would not bother them again. Zanaku afterwards always had a problem with keeping his temper in check, which would later cause him to kill all the people in one of his hunting parties. This resulted in his banishment, and eventually to the way of the Sith.
