Zanaku DaganaGabriel sat motionless. The cool breeze swept over his broad, bare shoulders as he continued to meditate. The light had faded from the sky only moments ago, but the brisk air of the night had already made it's presence known. The large Sith's breaths were even and drawn. He was completely engulfed in the Force while also completely aware of everything around him.
"Use me as a tool to carry out Your Will. Guide my words and provide me with the strength to further Our Cause."
The words were uttered to no one and they seemed to be swept away with the wind the moment they left Bane's lips. Slowly, his eyes opened and he rose to his feet. A fire flickered deep within his stare as he brought himself back to the now. There was much work that needed to be done. An apprentice that needed to be shaped and molded in the ways of the Force.
As he stood there, Bane sent a message out through the Force to his new apprentice.
"It is time. Ready yourself for Hell."

Zanaku heard his master calling for him through the force and began his path to Malice...and power. He arrived and kneeled before his Master, "What is it that you wish of me, my master?". He remained kneeling as he awaited a reply.

Darth Malice
|
As his new apprentice kneeled before him, Malice sized up the young adept. He could sense the stength within him, but could also feel the void of true knowledge. This was something he would remedy.
"First I simply wish to know why you have come to this place." Bane's voice was stolid and even. His face revealed nothing, but inside the Force swirled with the power of the grandest hurricane.
|
Zanaku_Dagana

"I have come to this place because I wish to achieve power. I wish to show the galaxy that the name of Zanaku cor Dagana is one to be feared, my master." Zanaku replied to his master while remaining kneeled to show respect. He could feel the maelstrom of power his master possessed just by standing in front of him. He looked up, but remained kneeling, as he awaited a response.
|
Darth Malice
|
"Power......this is a word that does not have a sole definition. It is something that differs from one being to the next, from one civilization to the next, from one species to the next, from one galaxy to the next." Malice strode slowly around one side of his kneeled apprentice.
"You are Kaleesh and I've heard your people believe 'true' power is only acheived in the afterlife." Bane stopped back in front of the being before him and stared down upon him. "What are your beliefs concerning this? What are your thoughts on Abesmi?"
|
Zanaku_Dagana
|
"Power is indeed known in many different ways my master. However ultimately I believe power is simply a means to an end. Power equals fear and with fear, one can conquer a galaxy." He wished this was the reply his master wanted, but Zanaku stood behind it nonetheless.
He decided to answer his master's question, "My belief in Abesmi is no more. Remember that my people disowned me, therefore relinquishing e of all that have to do with kaleesh. It is now no more than my species to me. I have a new religion now, and that religion is nothing more than utter devotion to the dark side."
After this statement, Zanaku looked his master in the eyes to show how serious he was about this.
|
Darth Malice
|
"I see." Malice's eyes were void as the young apprentice met his stare. A feeling of emptiness followed by a sharp chill was sent through the new Sith's body.
"You believe Power equals Fear. Is that right?" Gabriel turned away from the still-kneeling Kaleesh and walked back towards a large oak chair positioned at the far end of the room. When he reached it he turned and seated himself. He was now sitting tall with his hands stretched out on the armrests on either side, staring ahead at his apprentice.
"How do you see your future here? What are you goals....your aspirations?" His voice was just as inhuman as ever, not revealing any sort of feeling. This was something his apprentice would have to come to expect as Malice rarely let his emotions show.
|
Zanaku_Dagana
|
Zanaku expected as much from his master, to be cold and uncaring. He actually preferred to be shown no sympathy, it was the way he was raised. He did not however expect that his master could cause the chill in even himself. Zanaku wanted that kind of power, because he already knew what it was.
It was fear.
He replied to his master, "I see myself becoming a worthy tool for the sith to use, for whatever their needs. I am not important, only the goal is. I will not fail, for failure is not an option. It is not even a concept."
|
Darth Malice
|
"Your understanding of your purpose, if true, is accurate. You are a tool...a tool the Emperor will use to carry out the Will of the Empire....to further the cause of the Sith." Bane reclined into the large chair he was seated in, relaxing his body.
"I feel something in you. It is something primal....something that remains restless at all times. This is an attribute that could benefit our forces. It is your decision to make, but the military may be a proper fit for you, my apprentice." Gabriel's face was now hidden in shadows that stretched down to his chest. The only visible part of his face were his eyes that now pulsed a deep crimson hue.
|
Zanaku_Dagana
|
Zanaku looked at his master, "This restlessness comes from the need to feed the hunger in me. I believe the militry would suit me just fine, as it allows me to quench my bloodlust and serve the Emperor as the tool that I could be. Besides, the Jedi need to be exterminated nonetheless."
Zanaku's own eyes gleamed with reptilian anticipation as he awaited his master's response.

Bane again moved gracefully around the young apprentice. There was a wild rage he sensed within this being. It was something not unlike what he had once experienced.....something that still lived within him, yet now he had come to control it. To use it to his advantage.
"So you wish to be in the midst of the chaos. You wish to join the frontlines, where you can truly paint your body with the blood of our enemies." This was also what Gabriel lived for. Battle was the only thing that could truly bring him satisfaction.
"If this is so then ready yourself.......apprentice." With his final word the well lit room now grew dark. Faint flickers from low flames illuminated only portions of the large chamber. The only thing visible to the young Sith were his own two hands not a foot in front of his face.
"You must learn to overcome every obstacle in order to succeed. There is no failure. There is only victory and death. Which will be your fate?" Malice's voice faded into nothing and there wasn't a trace of the oversized Master anywhere.
Suddenly, a whisp of air was followed with a swift elbow into the side of the Kaleesh's face. This was quickly followed by a knee to the abdomen and then he was gone, back into the shadows that had consumed every corner of the room.

Zanaku felt the blows connect and indulged in the pain for a moment. For pain, to Zanaku, was power. Receiving it was almost as good as dealing it. The pain gave him the adrenaline rush he needed to think more clearly. He did not expect to fight his master this early in the training, and was indeed surprised when he struck at him.
Zanaku thought quickly to himself, and noticed that there were no footprints where his master had come from. Thinking only of the immediate future, Zanaku pulled out two lightsabers and pulled the hold switch on the sabers before turning them on. He activated them and the twin lances of pure energy shot out in their bluish hue.
Using the force to go faster than humanly possible, Zanaku ran around the darkness and buried the lightsabers into the ground hilt first so they illuminated the dark with their blades. He returned to the center of the triangle he had formed with the two sabers and the fire and awaited his masters next move.

"Good....good, apprentice." Gabriel stepped into the triange of light the young adept had created. He stood tall with his hands at his sides.
"It is important to open your mind to the Force at all times. As you can never predict the future without the aide of the Darkside, it is good that you allowed it to act through you." Bane stretched his right arm in front of him, revealing a closed fist. Slowly, rays of light began to creep through the cracks of his fingers and finally, not being able to conceal it any longer, Malice released the light into the room, illuminating ever corner.
"In time your knowledge and control of the Force will grow. It will reach heights you've never even dreamed of. If you sacrifice yourself to the Will of myself, the Emperor, and the Empire as a whole, you will not be disappointed." The Dark Master moved slowly to the right of Dagana, placing his hands behind his back.
"Now you will venture to the Dojo. There you will challenge a Sith Master of your choosing to a duel. Once the duel is complete, report back here and we will discuss the result." With that, Bane disappeared into the darkness.

|
"It will be done, my master" Zanaku replied. With his next task assigned to him, he pulled the lightsabers to his hand and deactivated them. He clipped them to his belt and headed to his home.
While at home Zanaku changed his current dark clothing for his white combat outfit. He wanted his enemies to know he was coming for them. He put his lightsabers on his new belt and set out for the dojo. It was time for his next test.

Malice sat silently in a dark, cold room tucked deep within the walls of one of the older structures here in Kroprulu. The room was void of any decoration, furniture, or warmth. The walls seemed to sweat ice-cold droplets of dark water. Still, Malice sat......his eyes closed, kneeling in the center of the floor.
Gabriel had been in the same room for nearly an entire day. His words were not able to be made out, but the Power of them was evident by the swirl of darkness within the room. He was speaking in the ancient tongue of the Sith, a language he had spent much time studying before even opening himself up to the idea of searching out the Sith.
Now, his mind was lead to thoughts of his apprentice. There was much there, but it needed to be extracted like cortosis from solid rock. So much work needed to be done. This was why he was here. This was why the Force had taken over his body and brought him to this very place. Suddenly his eyes opened and he spoke three words that traveled in an instant to his apprentice.
"Vexok savaka, Dagana."

Zanaku heard his master call him out and was immediately on his way. He was not one to be late. Upon his arrival he noticed the room that his master sat in. Dark and full of shadows, which was typical of his master as he liked to phase in and out of them frequently. Zanaku sat across from his master and leaned forward in a bow. Zanaku spoke in a monotone manner, a trait he had picked up from his master, "You summoned me, master?"
|
Darth Malice
|
Bane felt the presence of his apprentice before he'd even entered the ancient structure. He'd become attuned to the unique ripple he made in the Force. When Zanaku spoke Malice's eyes flickered to life. The red flame that seemed to inhabit the sharp gaze of the Sith Master was more than evident.
"You have expressed interest in joining the ranks of the Sith Military. There are two paths you may follow once being chosen for the Military; the Sith Imperial Navy and the Sith Imperial Army. Which of these do you believe you could best serve? Choose wisely my apprentice." Bane remained in his meditative position, searching his apprentice through the Force. Unlocking the deep, dark secrets held within the being seated before him.
|
Zanaku_Dagana
|
"I feel the Sith Imperial Army is more likely to benefit my training, my master.", Zanaku replied. He could feel his master searching him. He knew what his master was capable of, so he had to tread lightly. He remained in his half sitting and half bowing form while he awaited a response from his master.

"The Army......men shoulder to shoulder, fighting their enemy on even ground. Shedding the blood of their enemies so close they can taste the metallic flavor hidden within. This......this is the glory meant for all true warriors." Malice grew anxious at the mere talk of shedding blood with his own hands. He felt as though he'd been dormant for too long. Too much time had passed since he last felt his mace crush through flesh and bone, taking with it the very soul of whomever stood in his way.
"This is a decision I support. However, if you wish to join the ranks of the Army you must be precise with a saber, quick in command, while remaining in control of your senses at all times." Bane now stood in front of his apprentice. His bare chest revealing the countless scars he'd collected throughout his Galactic exploits. "We will focus on ground command as well as hand-to-hand combat."
Suddenly, Malice faded from view and the dark room was replaced by an expanse of forest that stretched beyond the young apprentice's site. He was dressed in the forest camo worn by the Imperial Army. While his Master was not in sight he was able to be heard.
"You are in command of a small unit tasked with overtaking a Rebel bunker that holds plans on a weapon in the early stages of development. Your goal is to gain possession of said plans by whatever means necessary. Before you, stands a unit of 50 Rebel soldiers. They also have 5 speeder lookouts, as well as 2 AT/ST walkers. There are two blaster doors on either side of the bunker guarded by two guards each. There are also guards making loops around the bunker. Your group consists of 25 Imperial soldiers, 5 of which are Sharpshooters. Lead your men to success."

Zanaku_Dagana
|
[I did this in first person, if you want it in third, I can retype it]
"I take my men up to the lookout point I had scouted out earlier. Showing them the plans, I split them into groups of 5, 5 Sharpshooters come with me to a well covered area. I use the Mind Trick to make them investigate an area where they have limited mobility. This is when the Sharp shooters take the Speeder Lookouts down in a simultaneous attack. The sharpshooters split up and cover both doors from a well covered position. Now the sharpshooters are reduced by one as I place one sharpshooter to stay behind and cover the men from the lookout from before.
While the Speeder Lookouts are being taken care of I move 5 of my men to the front door. While they distract the AT-ST's I use the force to increase my speed and cut the legs off of both transports bodies. The troopers plant thermal grenades in through the front windows and The transports are destroyed. The other fifteen of my men have already taken out the guards on patrol with a casualty of only 4. I radio the Sharp shooters to take out the door guards and they do so with unwavering accuracy. I expected nothing less of the Empire.
With the outside defenses taken care of the door needs to be opened. Using my lightsaber I bore a hole through the door at a slower rate then I would have preferred but I got through nonetheless. Once open I send 10 of my men through first to scout the terrain for me. I radio the Sharpshooters to stay alert and radio me if there's any trouble. The men tell me it's all clear. We grab the plans and begin to leave when I sense a tremor in the force.
I tell everyone to evacuate the building. As soon as we get out we see 2 Jedi Masters. I order for everyone to hold their fire. I would show Master Malice I was not weak and did not make mistakes twice. If I ordered the men to fire they would have died by reflected blaster bolts and then my mission would be a failure. This was not even a consideration. I took out my two jedi sabers and activated them with the hold switch then threw them out of the way. Igniting my nocturne saber I assumed a Makashi stance. Silently, I named the Jedi for their stances which revealed their entire fighting database to me. The first had a blue lightsaber held close to his body in a non aggressive stance, obviously meaning he used Soresu. The second had an orange saber and held it at the ready lined up with his knee and out at an angle, this showed him a Shii-Cho user. I charged with a thrust aimed at the gut of the Shii-Cho user.
Shii-Cho blocked and Soresu came in for a horizontal swing. I blocked by grabbing the hand of Shii-Cho and moving my saber around to my back which parried the blue and allowed me to shift both of their positions into a more advantageous spot for me. I moved Shii-Cho to the right of me and Soresu to the front. As soon as Soresu landed in his spot, he went to the defensive and kept his guard up. I could tell Shii-Cho was coming and sent a force push at him knocking him off his feet. I simultaneously used Lightning on Soresu causing him to occupy his defense with my force, while one of my activated sabers went soaring through the air and was sent into the left part of his abdomen. Using the moment, I cut impaled him on my blade. Shii-Cho got up and noticed his fellow Master was now dead.
Shii-Cho charged at me and gave a relentless attack. Using the grace and elegance of Makashi I blocked every swing he made, and decided to toy with his ming by method of Dun Moch. I stated, "Was that the best you could send? How pathetic." His eyes widened in rage as his movements became more and more sloppy. He was beginning to let go of his training and he was fighting with his emotions now, which he didn't have as much control over, as the Sith do. He left an opening by swinging too wide and I exploited it. I sent his blade flying with a complex move which resulted in his loss of a hand. Then, I picked him up by the throat and held him in the air while simultaneously discharging lighting into his body. I dropped his lifeless body and collected the sabers. They would make an excellent gift to Master Malice. Then I spoke to the troopers, who had regrouped during the match, "Mission complete, move out.""

The dense forest quivered a few times before fading back into the small dark room he had been in prior to the training simulation. Malice stood before him, hands crossed behind his back.
"Your strategy was well executed and the outcome was acceptable, however, if you had truly faced two Jedi Masters you would not be standing in front of me alive. If you believe the Sith are more emotionally level than Jedi, you have much to learn. As a Sith, you must learn to use your passion, hunger, and pain to your advantage. At times these are the last things you may fall back on. A Master Jedi relies on his rationality and poise. They use a Code and do not waiver. That is why they are inferior, but nonetheless, you would stand no chance against one, much less two Jedi Masters. Never underestimate them as many of our Sith Lords held such a rank at one time."
Malice walked to the rear of the room and looked back before exited, signaling the young Sith to follow. "Come, my apprentice. There is something I must show you." With that, the Dark Sith Master walked out of the Headquarters building and headed in another direction.
The entire trip was silent. Malice walked only a pace in front of his student and was dressed in black, from the tall leather boots to the leather gloves that seemed to tell of many battles through their wear. Finally, they arrived at the Grand Corridor of the Sith Temple.

"Darth Traya was a master of tactics and manipulation of others. She succeeded in turning several of the more powerful Jedi into Sith. She conquered her own betrayal of both sides of the force. She founded one of the key elements of the Sith along with her two apprentices. She discovered the "Echoes" in the force and found ways to exploit it to her advantage." Zanaku replied. Finding information on Darth Traya was not difficult, but most of the Dark Lady's history was unknown.
