Background: Mortis prefers to keep his past hidden, although it is known that he was once a jedi. At the age of 4 he was taken by the Order for training. From the the begining jedi masters considered him to be strong in the Force, and also very dangerous. Even as a boy Mortis was stubborn and defiant, he openly criticized principles of the Jedi and often refused to surpress his emotions.
At the age of 16 Mortis escaped from the Academy and lived in the wilderness for about a month. Although he was eventually found and brought back, Mortis was never the same, becoming even more willful, distant and some even suspected power-hungry. Once he managed access the archives restricted to masters only, but that was immediately discovered. This incident led to a series of punishments. Some master openly called Mortis a threat. Master Neir, Mortis's tutor volunteered to reason with his young padawan. No one knows what happened, but Neir's body was discovered outside the Academy in the morning. By the time jedi organized a search Mortis was long gone.

What Can I offer to the Guard: I can offer my blades and my devotion. My loyalty to the Empire is eternal, and I shall die for it, if need be. To be more materialistic, I have skills in stealth and infiltration that the Royal Guard may find quite useful. I do not question orders and follow them to the letter. _________________
