It can become awkward though. Especially if her reason is bad. I don't wanna tell him to do something that hurts his chances.

It might make her uncomfortable, and you want to be smooth, understand?

Take it from someone who knows, things only become awkward if you let them become awkward. Just ask her.

Sometimes in life, another person's dialogue is unstoppable. And when she does answer? Will it be the answer you seek?

Scenario 1. She's is romantically interested in someone else who is kinda distant from where you are, but like he keeps on messaging her on facebook in public. She also thinks you like her, but she likes the other guy, and she does not want to break your heart.

Scenario 2. She's a close friend of someone hates you so much. Even she's that close to give her facebook password to the 3rd. Some mutual use of same page. (Sounds stupid but my office mate uses my facebook page lol)

Scenario 3. She has a boyfriend you might not know and he dislikes you. He watches over her facebook for friends, events etc. and simply asked her to delete you, so he wont be bothered to see you there.

Scenario 4. She likes you, but her close friends think you are crap and potentially nagging her about not keeping you on her facebook. They might control her account as well.

See I thought of the ones where someone else has her Facebook account. But he pushed them off as far fetched.

The problem is that she's new to the area (came here for college). She was single at the time, having broken up with her boyfriend months before moving here.

And her only friends that know him are her roommate, who seemed to be ok with him. And other people that he is also friends with.

Its a very confusing situation. She's ignored his emails and texts about the facebook thing too.

Scenario 5. She has an annoying younger sibling who messes with her Facebook and email.

That is a very bad sign. You should be distant from her for a few days. If she comes up to say hi, or starts a conversation, there may still be hope for you.

No, if you stay distant, she wont ever talk to you again. Just say you like her, and she will confess her reason. Its better to be rejected than confused. At least you can think about new strategies if she gives you a vaild answer. Confusion is not good.

You know what happened during homecoming dance and the day after?

A girl comes over and dances with me and is ALL over me. I even bother to talk to her and she seems at least to my knowledge to be into me by laughing at alot of what I say. The next day, she says she bombs me down. I know her one friend is kind of popular, and don't like me. I am not sure if she influenced the decision or not though.

Okay, I have an issue. I've been going out with a girl for a couple of weeks but since we started going out, she's changed. She's no longer quirky and fun to talk to, all our conversations follow the exact same format and she always starts some stupid "You're cuter, no YOU're cuter" argument without fail. I also think she may be somewhat obsessed and overdependent with me.

She's one of my best friends and I know she's liked me for a long time, and I like her too but I'm afraid to say anything in case I hurt her feelings or make her think that I'm going to break up with her. But if I don't say anything, it will end up frustrating me to the point that I break up with her and then I'll hurt her even more. In both cases, I'm worried about the consequences because she has a history of self-harm and clinical depression.

Help?

If she has" a history of self-harm and clinical depression", ran away because she will simply deplete your life energy. I know, till today, my suggestions were always "keep calm, talk friendly" , but in this issue, a suicidal girl is the most spooky thing you can see on earth. You are 14-15, so it is not a very serious relationship, and if the girl has these tendencies, she will do again if you break up with aggression. My suggestion: "slowly run away from her" Even if you can, make her like another boy, so your life can be saved. My post might sound stupid and childish, but this is one of the most serious post in meaning I have ever made.

She's not suicidal now, because she's so happy that I'm finally going out with her. If I was to break up with her, it could render her suicidal. And for the record, I'm 15, she's 16.

Holy crap... Dean, I'm in almost the exact same situation you are, with the exceptions that we haven't been friends for a long time, and I don't really like her in that way anymore.

I'd like to point out, for the record, that I don't want to break up with her, I want to know a tactful way to explain the problem.

Okay I will try. Is she shy about her tendencies or what she did in the past?

Well she doesn't cover up the scars on her wrist and all her friends know she used to self-harm, that she's attempted suicide and that she sees four psychiatrists every month because of her clinical depression but she doesn't introduce herself with "Hi, I'm Sabrina, I used to slit my wrists."

Do you know the reason why she did that and also what was her age when she tried?

Her mother mistreats her and it got too much for her and I don't know what age she was.

Give it a shot. Age is a main factor to come up with a suggestion
