I agree. Having an invincible, all powerful being is just too much. It is possible to draw on the Force to keep ones spirit alive, even if the body dies, and transfer it to another form. This could be what they do, and could be a kind of immortality, but as it says in the rules, "your character cannot survive a direct lightsaber thrust to the chest"

High Director of Exploration
Master Field Explorer (Force-Sensitive)
Master Field Explorer (non-Force Sensitive)
Field Explorer (Force-Sensitive)
Field Explorer (non Force-Sensitive)
Explorer Trainee (Force-Sensitive)
Explorer Trainee (non-Force Sensitive)

Teams: Each team would include a Master Field Explorer 2 field explorers, fs and nfs, including a trainee whenever possible.

How would you conduct business?

I Darth Suspiria believe in a hands on approach to leadership. I would expect disciplined conducting of research and exploration. That Explorer's of every rank would need to keep records. Each Master would need to file a report of their findings weekly, and if on mission by holocron. All members would be required to continue to learn.

I would differentiate this Order from the rest by the fact that it will have much wider parameters and be extremely busy. There will be outreach to other Orders at need, creating the potential for diverse situations (rp's). There will be a greater education component than in the other orders. Finally and most importantly this Order's primary goal will be a continuing mission to improve and expand the empire through discovery.[/quote]

I'm not sure about the ranking system, non-Force-sensitives would just be NPCs and thus having them in high-ranking positions would be inefficient. They should just form the basic members, with Force-sensitives taking the primary positions. Also, the name sounds far too governmental, the other Orders have snappy, roll-off-your-tongue names.

How about OSTI instead. (Order for Spiritual and Temporal Initiatives) I do envision fs having the highest authority. We may get some members though who don't want force powers etc. Want to be pure explorers. They should have somewhat of a path to success though not on the same level as Sith.

Okay, I'm getting really confused here. I was under the impression that the exploration order's jobs were to explore the galaxy, claim planets for the Empire and contain outbreaks of massive Force power and Sith alchemy gone wrong.

There are forums with members who chose not to be force-sensitive. Mercs are a good example of non-force sensitives. Why do all researchers have to be force-sensitive?

Because on this site, we don't have bounty hunters or merc, we have sith or the occasional jedi.

And the other orders do have non-force users in their buildings, but they don't have ranks dedcated to them. The Military, for example, would have Stormtroopers who maybe commanders or something. There is no need to segregate them.

All researchers should be Force sensitive so they can get a better grasp of what it is they are researching. We used to have researchers as part of the Alchemists.

We may never get a member who wants to be nfs. Hobarth Kivar is an example of someone who prefers not to be. He chose that path because no other was available. Right now he is out of the country for awhile at least so I don't know what he would do. He plans on returning though.
