With the governments of the world I think it is safe to say that everyone is in the brink of destruction. No matter where you live, the government is controlling things the wrong way, either by wasting 500 Billion dollars on a stimulus plan that doesn't work, or by any other ridiculous stunt.

How do you feel over the things your government has done to prevent a depression/recession and if you didn't like it, explain what you would do to make things better for not only your country, but the world.

The Stimulus Package has hardly done nothing to solve the economy. The market is rising, our banks and motor companies are not dead, and I don't have to pay for my laptop for college because of the stimulus package.

Granted, there were a lot of add ons that shouldn't have been needed, but due to party lines, that was unavoidable.

But since you're bashing the government over it, what would you have done if you were in charge? Let the economy crash and burn? Then spend billions upon billions trying to rebuild? Let millions of people die when hospitals close due to funding issues, or when homes are foreclosed and families kicked out into the street? It may not have been the "perfect solution" but it was the only viable solution that would impact the country in the near future.

There was another solution in my eyes. I would have ended the NAFTA deal, or free trade, and brought some of the jobs that had went over seas and brought them back to the U.S.

That had to be one of the worst decisions ever for America, that took away all of our jobs and gave them to foreign countries. America is a country that should be able to make their own stuff.

How would you have brought home jobs? By lowering minimum wage below that of China so that companies hire in America? And that would not have had as an immediate effect.

America can make its own stuff. But it costs more. And no business in their right mind would hire workers that cost twice, if not four times, as much to do the same job that someone much cheaper can do.

Sure, we can make our own stuff. But we'd be paying much much more to be able to say we make our own products.

But if we know what they know, the enemy knows what they know. Now is that a good policy? They can barely keep things contained within themselves. Imagine that number multiplied by 100. There wouldn't be any secrecy.

And our survival depends on knowing what the bad guy is going to do, while we still have surprise.

So aliens exist now? And the government has been hiding that from us? You watch Men In Black last night? As for weapons, the government hardly knows about the Military's latest weapons until they are obsolete and we have something better.

I believe its impossible for extra terrestrial species not to exist. I mean there are hundred upon millions of galaxies out there, what are the odds that we're alone.

We're not. Why would we be the only forms of intelligent life? Others might just have the same problem we have. We can't travel through galaxies because we don't have inner galactic travel discovered yet.
